"STRATHMORE LODGE", Unit 1, boasts some of the most amazing views of Lighthouse Beach in Port Macquarie. PORT'S GREAT SURFING BEACH ( PATROLLED HOLIDAY PERIODS, 500 METTRES FROM THE UNITS !
The upper level 1 BR fully self-contained air conditioned apartment, will have you staying in relaxed comfort with the perfect setting for a private getaway.
The spacious BR with en suite ( inc. bath) has 1 Q size bed.
With a double size couch/divan in the living area, this unit can accommodate four.
ALL BED LINEN and BATH TOWELS are provided.
The kitchen which also has ocean views is well-appointed with an electric oven and cook top, microwave oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, front-loading washing machine.
Soap, laundry, and toilet requirements are provided
GAS BBQ on deck.
The open plan living area features polished wood floorboards throughout, a dining area, and comfortable furniture
FOXTEL, TV, DVD Player
There are stunning views from the wrap-around balcony - a great area for entertaining or just relaxing watching the ships, dolphins or whales go by.
Upper level is NOT suited for pets.*Small dogs **MAY BE CONSIDERED ON CONTACT WITH THE OWNER PHONE OR INTERNET*PET SURCHARGE WOULD APPLY TOGETHER WITH A REFUNDABLE SECURITY BOND $300

"Strathmore Lodge" is conveniently situated in Watonga St, across from the Lighthouse Beach Shopping Centre. This area is quite flat so is accessible for all ages.
Amenities available are:- Great coffee and cake shops, al fresco dining, hairdresser, massage therapist, post office, convenience store, liquor outlet, take away fish & chips, hamburgers, etc, a Malaysian restaurant, Medical centre, town bus, taxi.

Pet friendly - it is not. Noise travel through floors, smoking

Had to wake up every night to take dog outside to go to the toilet in the front yard - which couldn't be closed because a car in next doors unit parked the gates open. 4 days I was so tired and stressed each morning waking up to scrub / clean poo and wee from the floor multiple stressed the dog also being unable to access outside for his business as he is well trained to know he's done the wrong thing. The unit below had an angry dog, and we couldn't go on the back yard as he didn't like people let alone otherq dogs. The property owner said our dog should be walked morning and night to do his business so that's our fault. We do that, but dogs are can do several poos and wees a day. It was an expensive unenjoyable stay. It isn't pet friendly at all, so why try to rent it as so. A man from the unit below banged on our kitchen window late at night scaring the hell out of us, abusing us with profound language yelling and threatening us saying we were noisy(I have a 5 yo and 9 yo). We had just finished a bath! When I walked by the kitchen and he was there on our upstairs balcony in our space at 10.30pm, I called the owner petrified. He again blamed us for potentially being too noisy or instigating the problem, and told us to call the police not him. He also gave the rude typical line 'I've never had an issue in 25 years, then saying this is about the conversation about your dog earlier having no ecause you couldn't go in the back yard!) It was just nonsense. The bottom unit of the house hears our every noise echoing whilst walking on floorboards etc, because it's a house divided up, not purpose build apartments with noise/floor.sound barriers. Smoking by the unit below on their balcony was awful all day and night, travelling to our balcony. SO we had to stay inside with doors shut and AC on!! It was a house not designed to be divided into units. For a 4 day stay at $700 a night, or Christmas was awful. We thought we'd be sitting out on the balcony overlooking the ocean, and our dog catered for. My car was blocked in, sharing with me were other cars that arrived in the night and blocked us in in the morning. Didn't know which unit they belonged to. Never again. No privacy, not dog friendly at all, no care for our welfare. Huge waste of money and an unpleasant Christmas for us all.

Idyllic and relaxing

Lovely stay with clean, beautifully appointed flat. We had a fantastic time taking the dog to the beach, birdwatching from the deck and eating across the road at the restaurants at the local shops. Superb location and a lovely place to stay!

Amazing location, awesome property

It's always a challenge to find pet friendly accommodation so we were so happy to find this apartment that was not only welcoming of our pooch but in the most amazing location. Down the street is the Lighthouse beach which to the right is an off leash beach! We took our dog there every day and met so many friendly dog owners doing their daily walk up and down the sand. It was so great to be able to go for a swim and relax on the beach with our dog. I wish we had more places like this in Sydney. The place itself was great - amazing views of the beach and lovely and clean for our arrival. The bed is comfy too! I Definitely recommend the Strathmore Lodge.

Just wonderful!

The best dog friendly place we've stayed in, clean and comfortable with the best views of the beach and so close to 'off the leash' dog walking area plus cafe's and shops just opposite - really loved our stay

Delightful accommodation in a perfect location.

My adult daughter and I loved our week long stay at Strathmore Lodge. We were delighted with our spotless, 2 bedroom unit. It was nicely furnished with modern, comfortable furniture. The living room, kitchen and laundry had every accoutrement that one could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. We were thrilled with the sea views through the palm trees from our bedrooms. Our two little Cavalier King Charles spaniels had a great time in the lovely back yard and my daughter enjoyed walking the dogs to nearby Lighthouse Beach. The Lodge is right across the road from a terrific little shopping centre. The prawn pizza from the pizza restaurant on the corner was one of the best I've tasted. We also had a delicious meal at the very busy Malaysian restaurant and gave in to temptation at both of the popular patisseries. No need to cook in this location. We were warmly welcomed by Ross and Jeanette and later on Ross delivered hot, homemade scones and strawberry jam - yum! We loved staying here so much that we extended our stay and will definitely be escaping Canberra's winter to stay at Strathmore Lodge for a few weeks next year.

Fab for a Family Gathering

Family members old and young, even a puppy, had ample space and comfort. The stores and restaurant nearby - and the beach across the road kept everyone very relaxed and happy. Great property and very, very helpful, attentive organisers

excellent apartment and location

We enjoyed a great time in the huge one bedroom upstairs apartment. It was very spacious with great views from a large and open deck. Great outdoor area too and very well maintained inside and out. Beach and shops a stroll away. We hope to be back.

Great location and beautiful house. Modern, spacious and great views. Only a minute walk to the beach and across the road from shops. It has everything you need to have a great time and accommodates to all group sizes, big and small. Highly recommend if you are looking to get away to Port Macquarie and/or its surrounding suburbs.

Visited for a week and occupied all 3 units. The stay was perfect. Close to the beach with a great pizza place and cafe across the road a long with a liquor store, post office, butcher, chicken and chips shop and a general store. Everything you need close by. House was great with enough room for everyone. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place for a large group of people. Thank you for allowing us to stay in the house, we had a lot of fun :)

Stayed with 11 others in Units 2 & 3. Plenty of space, great facilities and fantastic views! Locals were very friendly and helpful. Lighthouse beach was just a short walk away and the shops opposite the road were also very convenient. Overall, a really enjoyable week away! Whether you want to relax on the balcony and enjoy immaculate ocean views, go fishing on the beach or in town or just put your feet up and watch some foxtel, Strathmore lodge has it all. I definitely recommend this property!
