About this property

Linley Point Harbourview 2 bedroom pet-friendly home with disabled facilities.

Linley Point Harbourview is located in one of the nicest parts of Sydney. You will appreciate the magnificent views of Sydney Harbour, and city skyline from the moment you arrive . On New Year's Eve you will be able to see the fireworks from your front garden. However a 9 night minimum stay applies at that time.
Our 2 bedroom home is about 8 Km from the city and close to transport. It is an ideal base to see the sights of Sydney and surrounds. The home is built on a single level, and suitable for couples, families and disabled holidaymakers.
More people are travelling with their pets and small dogs can be accepted by arrangement. The front garden and rear balcony are fenced to keep dogs safe.

The spacious and light filled house is air-conditioned, has 2 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children comfortably. It is about 8 Km from the city centre and is well served by public transport.

Free WiFi is available for internet access. There is a large Smart TV. Please bring your own Netflix or other streaming service login.

Disabled aids such as a shower chair and toilet surround seat are available. There is wheelchair access to the cottage.

BOOKING POLICY

Weekly bookings are preferred. Minimum booking is generally 5 days, but 9 days over the Christmas - New Year period.

Description

The house is approximately 25 years old, and is in a quiet street with off street parking under a carport and is adjacent to the owner's house. A reverse cycle air-conditioner has recently been installed so it is comfortable in summer and winter.
Our cottage has a large main bedroom with built-in wardrobes and Queen size bed, a large living room with Smart TV that opens onto a patio area with BBQ area. The BBQ area has outdoor furniture, ideal for outdoor dining in the warmer months. The cottage has a, a spacious kitchen with all amenities including microwave oven, , electric hotplates, grill and oven, dishwasher a fridge/freezer. The second bedroom has a quality single bed and a folding bed . The cottage is ideal for couples and family holidays. Good public transport is nearby with a regular bus service to the city and Chatswood railway station. The ferry is the nicest way to travel to the city and two wharves ( Huntleys Point and Woolwich are only a 10 -15 minute drive away.

Additional information

The second bedroom has a single bed and folding bed suitable for children. The bathroom has a shower and toilet and there is an internal laundry with a washing machine. There is a outdoor clothes line. The cottage has an enclosed front garden to relax in. if you enjoy walking there are beautiful bushwalks along the Lane Cove River.

Great spot and easy access to all areas with fantastic views of the Harbour Bridge and water. Shopping facilities at Lane Cove were great and only 7 minutes away with also a multitude of restaurants nearby. We had a great time so thanks Neil and Ros!

This was a perfect place to stay. Close to the water, very well presented and with enclosed front and back yard for our small dog. It is a small comfortable house with everything you need. Neil and Ros are wonderful hosts.

Very nice views of the city and lights. Great place to stay and the owners are very kind couple. Cottage is exactly as described in the internet, no surprises, just a very nice place to stay, The patio overlooks a large inlet. If, you like to feed birds there are lots of them to feed in the garden area. Overall one of our better places to stay.

Our family of four plus our little dog spent five lovely nights in the comfortable and cosy cottage. Lindley point is a lovely suburb and the views were gorgeous! We had everything we needed and our host, Neil was extremely welcoming and kind. We would certainly come again!

Wonderful

We had a wonderful stay at this home. Neil was a great host and very helpful in navigating the area. He drove us around to familiarize us with what was available close by and then took us for groceries and to purchase passes for the transit system. Close to several bus routes but a perfect getaway from the hustle of the city.

A special place to stay in Sydney

Linley Point is a unique part of Sydney & staying in this comfortable & well equipped house was just a pleasure. Neil is a very welcoming host & nothing was a problem. My dogs were welcomed & they enjoyed the house & their walks around Linley Point. The view of the Harbour Bridge as you arrive is one that you will never forget!

Cosy cottage

This cottage was perfect for us, (couple & daughter). The cottage is in a beautiful area of Sydney with picturesque views of Sydney Harbour bridge and river to Hunters hill from back patio. We used the bus service which is a 8 minute walk, which takes you to surrounding suburbs of Lane cove & Hunters Hill and connecting buses to Sydney. The cottage has a well stocked kitchen for cooking, roomy bedrooms and self contained facilities. What made it special was the hospitality that Neil gave us and generous with his time. We would love to return

Great location and views.

Neat and tidy, suited our needs beautifully. Location was perfect, close to transport, undercover parking if required, good walks (did six k's per day) shopping a short drive away. If there had been any problems I'm sure they would have been attended too straight away. An espresso or pod machine would have been nice, but I do love my coffee. The morning magpie chortle was a lovely addition.

Excellent cottage

This is a lovely apartment with fantastic views from the living room and better views from the front garden looking out to the city and historic Harbour Bridge. The cottage had every facility you would expect and enjoy when you are not out sight seeing. The host is readily available and willing to help if required. A short, inexpensive Uber (readily available) takes you to the nearest Ferry mooring that opens up the city and surrounding areas to you at very reasonably capped prices. All in all this facility provided us with a perfect base to see Sydney.

What’s not to love?!

Our 2 week stay (during reno’s to our house a few suburbs away) was just perfect. The cottage is spacious and very well equipped, with a bright, sunny aspect and great view across the water to Hunters Hill. Our little dog Joey loved the front and back areas to potter around and the walks around the area. Very tranquil and relaxing views, we were very sad to leave Neil’s cottage (they are the perfect hosts, v helpful and friendly). Umpteen shops close by (including the renowned Hummerston’s butcher up the road at West Lane Cove - great for bbq’s!). We (and Joey) can’t wait to return!

We had a great time visiting Sydney. Overall the house at Linely Point was fine with just few issues

The house is really nice except for the planes that fly constantly over it that we had no idea about. They were so loud you could not even hear the tv or conversations. It is definitely in the direct flight plan. There is no wi-fi, which in this day and age is almost a must. Otherwise, we did enjoy ourselves. The view is quite nice, but there was construction also going on while we were there.

Fabulous location

Neill is a lovely host. The views are amazing! Location very convenient. The house is well equipped and comfortable. My son loved feeding the resident magpies and cockatoos that arrived every morning expectantly waiting on breakfast. The decor may be dated but the price is spot on. It's peaceful and calming after a hectic Sydney day. The shower is a dribble and the beds a bit hard but we stayed a week and will DEFINITELY return! Wonderful. Thanks Neill!

The Transition

I was raised in our family home adjacent to Linley Point Harbourview so know the area well. We live next door in a separate house, so the cottage is private. Living next door, we are able to welcome guests on arrival and show them the local area. For guests without their own transport, we will take them to the local shopping centre to buy groceries etc.

We have been welcoming guests to Linley Point for 20 years, and several guests return each year to visit family and friends.

We guarantee a warm welcome and do our upmost to ensure you have a comfortable and relaxing stay in our cottage . We are on hand to assist with tourist advice and attend to any unexpected problems should they arise

What makes this property unique

You will enjoy the superb views of the Sydney Harbour bridge and city skyline. It is a vantage point on the annual 7 Bridges Walk around Sydney Harbour and a popular spot for photographers.
