The back yard of this property is the highlight with the view down to the river and the visiting magpies and 28s.The house is quite old, except for the beautifully renovated ensuite, and the kitchen was average with the drawers sticking and the stovetop not the cleanest. There was two sheets of paper towel, a tiny piece of foil and no baking paper. We thought that for the price these simple necessities would be included. Overall we thought it was good but not great.

An older but well cared for home with plenty of room for 2 familiesIt has a very comfortable and large out door setting to while away looking at the Murray RiverIt does need a little loving but the hero of this property is the location. A tree covered yard leading down to your private jetty. A boat ramp on around the corner ideal to launch a small vessel and moor at the jetty. Bring you own kayaks for a paddle

Family you get to pick

We were looking for a quick getaway, and Ravenswood was the perfect distance from Perth. The house was lovely, the weather was perfect, and we had a great holiday. The local pub was amazing.

Ravenswood Retreat - our second stay at this lovely house

Lovely view over the river. Very quiet and peaceful place at the end of a cul de sac. Many birds. Nice walks possible. Nearby at Pinjarra are tourist attractions. Meals at hotel Ravenswood were enjoyed due to very good ambience and good quality of food and its' presentation.

Great getaway on the river

We had a wonderful stay at this property with the family.It backs on to the river , beautiful view , great for kayaking and paddle boarding. Good size house , neat and tidy.Nice and quiet location , highly recommend.

Family getaway

Perfect house for our family holiday being suitable for all ages. Plenty of space, homely comfortable feel and wonderful peaceful location with a gorgeous view and riverside access. Very responsive and lovely host too. Will be back.!

Excellent Location

This property goes above and beyond our expectations. The view of the river was beautiful, a very quiet location. Everything for indoor / outdoor living was there. The extras supplied in the kitchen was nice to see and Tissues throughout the house. For us our only downfall was the stairs as we were elderly and found them difficult but we managed. A great place to stay to explore the surrounding area

The house is very spacious and the master bedroom has a lovely ensuite. The other bathroom needs a bit of TLC. We spent most of our time in the family area with the lovely wood burner which is very effective, nothing like a fire! As suggested by another person the single mattresses could be updated. The reason for our three stars is that we didn't find the house to be very clean - surface things were done but we think that the house could really do with a deep clean. We are surprised that other people have found the house to be very clean. Also, after we paid up and the cancellation date had passed, we were told that there were some areas of the outside that we were not able to go to as repairs were being done to fencing (not really a problem but would have been nice to know) and we were given a list of dos and don'ts with stated monetary consequences if the "don't" occurred. We have never experienced that before with any stay and this made us a bit more anxious about staying in the house. All in all a great place to stay and explore the surrounding area.

Beautiful outlook from the rear balcony. Home was clean, roomy, comfortable and satisfied all our requirements. Well priced for what the home offers. Gave 3 stars only for check in process because previous tenant had not left the key in the location where we were advised to collect from and the owner and cleaner were not aware of this. Suggest the owner or cleaner check the location of the key after each occupancy . Would stay at the property again.

By the beautiful Murray River

The property was large and comfortable. It had most of what would be expected for the price. Access to the Murray River is excellent and the gardens are welcoming. It would benefit from an upgrade to the family bathroom although the ensuite room is very well done. Perhaps the mattresses in the single bed rooms could do with an upgrade too? Overall a very pleasant stay in a quiet area, nice neighbours, lovely healthy river. Would definitely stay again.
