The barn was even more beautiful than the photos - it had everything you need and located in a really quiet location with a stunning view. The hosts are just lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend.
We had a delightful stay in the Red Brick Barn. Comfortable, warm and beautiful. We loved having a kitchen for meals and the other amenities were very good. The neighbouring donkeys were very cute!
Superb experience, lovely hosts. You felt like you were in the south of France. We loved the donkeys, sheep and those gorgeous, friendly dogs. A real treat.
We loved our stay at Red Brick Barn. The property was beautiful and in a lovely setting. It is the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend getaway with walking tracks on the door step for when we were feeling energetic . Thank you Daniel for our lovely weekend
This beautifully renovated barn sits in a idilic location has an outdoor bath and two resident Donkeys and is only a few minutes drive to the centre of Castlemaine.
Daniel and Glenys were very welcoming and hospitable. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area.
The Red Barn is perfect for a relaxing break. A beautifully renovated barn full of fun antiques surrounded by a leafy garden. You’ll get to see farm animals, kangaroos and bird life while enjoying the gourmet offerings of the area. The hosts have done an amazing job on the barn renovation and are thoughtful hosts.
The property was gorgeous, French Provincial at its best. Amenities top notch. We wished for more walkable cafes and a local restaurant but it is the middle of winter! The surrounding paddocks, animals and gardens are relaxing and serene.
Red Brick Barn is a beautiful oasis of peace and calm. Even more wonderful than the online pictures suggest. You can breakfast on the terrace with cute donkeys at the garden gate and friendly sheep grazing nearby. We were lucky enough to be there in spring with blossom trees framing our view and two families of ducklings on the lake.Inside, the barn is filled with objects of curiosity that bring back memories of yesteryear. It's cosy and inviting. There are modern conveniences, but the place beckons you to go off grid. It's an easy distance from Castlemaine, yet you feel miles away.Daniel is a friendly and obliging host and I can't recommend his property highly enough. Didn't want to leave and can't wait to return!
Everything you could possible need or require has been thought of. Plus there is lovely antiques throughout the home, and reading material. Say yellow to the donkeys out through the back door, sheep, and ducks or bath in the outdoor hot tub whilst admiring the view! You can have it all. It is so relaxing. A large loft area and more. Lovely linen provided, extra blankets. Like I said, everything you can think of.
An extremely beautiful place to stay. Decor was gorgeous, food provisions really thoughtful, layout of the space was beautifully executed. Donkeys get 5 stars.
The Red Barn is in a lovely location and beautifully presented. Despite the rain we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the breakfast goodies and the warm welcome provided.
We had an amazing time during our two night stay. The barn is gorgeous, very clean and super cosy and warm. Some lovely breakfast bits are provided and there is also a great little kitchen. Very strongly recommend!
