We had a great time at the Crow’s Nest. The views are gorgeous from almost every room in the house (upstairs and downstairs). The house is a great set up for two families or extended family travelling together but important to note there are no ensuites to any bedrooms. The property manager, Claire, was quick to respond and easy to communicate with. Trevor, the owner, lives in the house below and was a lovely guy.
Being a holiday homeowner who rents our property as well, there is some constructive feedback I have:
The home needs an overall uplift with a deep clean (cobwebs, dead bugs, loads of dust under furniture, greasy pantry, etc.), a fresh coat of paint, and a good stock up of glasses, dishes for kids (plastic cups from IKEA are durable and cheap), decent knives, and a few share platters for nibbles. Also, the recycling bin was full on our arrival and not picked up during our stay. A second recycling bin is highly recommended to prevent items having to go in the garbage bin on departure.
Overall, we had a great time and would stay again but likely not for nearly $800/night until the freshen up is done.
