This place had all of the things I needed (plates, flatware, cups, salt/pepper, coffee, etc) and plenty of space to stretch out in! The hosts are easy to communicate with and super nice.
The house and property are great - there was a lot of room since it was just me and I loved it! I saw deer and a porcupine on the property which was cool!
A clean, comfortable and spacious house in a secluded area with beautiful surroundings. The check in process and communications were smooth. We parked the car in the garage which was nice. You need to drive on a maintained gravel road for a short distance to get there (from East). The GPS may suggest taking Viaduct Rd, it's best to avoid it, specially after dark. We enjoyed our stay and I recommend this property.
We loved our stay at this house! Everything listed and the photos were just as stated, if not even better than we imagined it would be. We loved the secluded peaceful setting- the first thing we saw when we entered and went onto the patio were 4 deer out back! Loved all the Christmas trees surrounding the house.
We had everything we needed in the house. Kitchen well-stocked, beds comfortable, nice bathrooms. Also, if you have anyone in your party with a handicap or wheelchair, this is the place you want! Nice wheelchair ramps both inside the garage and outside going up to the deck, and a huge handicapped bathroom in one of the bedrooms! A big closet was well-supplied with games, jigsaw puzzles (which we did use!), extra linens and even beach towels- I can't think of anything we needed that wasn't supplied.
Location was very central to all the places we wanted to travel- that was nice.
Our hosts were wonderful! They sent us timely info and good directions on getting to the house (thanks for the info on Viaduct Road- that was so helpful!) I sent them a text after we had arrived asking for a couple of recommendations for places to eat and info on beaches- I got back a very quick reply and multiple recommendations. We tried a couple of the restaurants- very good, and we also found the nicest beach in Frankfort- we wouldn't have known to go there without your info. Thanks so much!
Highly recommended!! Thanks to great hosts! We hope to return here!!

Thank again for staying with us. We love to hear when others appreciate the place as much as we do. You were great guests and welcome back anytime!
This is our second time staying here and we are just as pleased this round. The location accommodates the trucks, trailers and off-road vehicles we bring. It is very close to trails (right across from the property to be exact). Easy access to Twister Trails Off-Road park and more. The home is very comfortable and appointed with everything we need.
House was perfect for 3 couples. State trails across the street and convenient to National Forrest trails, too. House was clean and what we needed. Would rent again.

Jennifer’s group was very respectful of our house! They will be welcome back anytime!
Great place if your group includes someone with limited mobility. Such places are hard to find. Wheelchair ramps and roll in shower, lots of open space to maneuver wheelchair. Kitchen has everything you will need for meal prep and there is also a nice grill, and fire pit. Laundry machines are nice. Some of living room furniture and mattresses could be replaced for better support. Dirt road for brief drive past pavement to the house. Beautiful setting with woods and hills. Dish tv and lots of dvd movies. We enjoyed our stay. Drive isn’t too long to either Traverse City or Sleeping Bear Dunes.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay, come back anytime
The property was very quiet and peaceful but it should be emphasized that you are completely shut off from the world there. We didn't notice on the listing that there wasn't wifi but there was also no cell connection for us between 3 different providers. We had to drive about five minutes to make a phone call or get a GPS connection to get directions where we were going. If you are looking to get completely away from everything then this place is great. But we booked for two weeks hoping we could work from there, again not realizing there wasn't wifi. We decided to leave 4 days early because it was too hard to drive 5 minutes to get texts and a half hour to get any wifi.

We’re sorry your trip was so difficult. As stated in our property profile, we don’t have Internet or Wi-Fi. Amongst my family we have Xfinity, Consumer cellular and Sprint as cell phone carriers. We can all make and receive calls. Yes, sometimes calls are dropped. One of my brothers has great difficulty doing anything on his phone. Not sure what service he has. While we don’t have Wi-Fi at the house, my phone allows me to connect good enough to connect to my home DVR and watch recordings. Thank you for your feedback. We updated our property profile to state several more times that we don’t have Internet or Wi-fi. We are also considering adding Wi-Fi, although we’ve had several reviews that state they liked being device-free for a change. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience!
Thanks,
Ben & Kim Romes
Great place to stay in Mesick, perfect for our fishing get away. The house was just as described and communication between the owner and myself was great. If you’re in the area I recommend this property.
We found this property to be just what we needed for our 4 day stay in the area as we came for a family reunion in Kaleva and to visit Lake Michigan and the dunes. Plenty of room for all of us, and we had fun staying here!
