Sophorae Cottage, St Leonard’s

Sophorae cottage is situated in Wattletree Avenue only 350m from local shops, pier, swimming beach and pub.

Our price includes linen and free wi-fi through the NBN with accommodation for up to 6 people -no extra charges.

The cottage is clean and comfortable with 4 beds for up to 6 people. There are two Queen beds, two Singles and one Double. The house has three bedrooms,two toilets, bathroom, modern kitchen/meals and large comfortable lounge. Sophorae cottage has airconditioning as well as ceiling fans for your comfort. It also has ducted heating throughout to keep it cosy during winter.

The courtyard is comfortable and private with synthetic turf, lovely gardens, dining setting, lounge and umbrella. The veranda with seating and barbecue provides outdoor opportunities in all weather.

Sophorae cottage was bought by the current owners in 2011. The name comes from Acacia Sophorae or coastal wattle.

St Leonards is popular for fishing, diving and family stays. Dolphins could be seen from the shore, swimming on September 1st. Guests staying over summer caught squid from the pier using handlines.

Sophorae cottage has a long driveway with a gate so that your boat or jetski can be parked securely behind it. There is also access to a hose.

Sophorea Cottage

Our third visit to the cottage and as always it is a pleasant experience, neat, tidy, clean, and restful with every convenience available for an enjoyable stay. The cottage is close to the shops and the beach and we rarely used our car to move around the area. The beach is lovely and the village is well equipped to cater to our needs. The 3 cafes certainly help make the day more enjoyable!!! Another wonderful holiday!

good house, good location

This is a good house, major appliances worked well, in a quiet location close to beach and well-stocked IGA supermarket. Bedrooms are well separated from living room and kitchen/dining area. We particularly appreciated the empty shelf in a kitchen cupboard, the sturdy rack for hanging towels, the good supply of hot water, and the well-functioning clothes dryer. Only drawback: if you have respiratory allergies, be aware that all rooms but the kitchen have fragrance sticks in aromatic oils, and that they fail to mask the various smells in the house.

Great location and features in house only down fall was stayz advertise everyday on radio you get the whole house, garage not with this house we had no garage which ment my boat had to stay in weather.

Great cottage holiday

This property was comfortable and cosy. Very nice sized bedrooms. Great outdoor area. All that you need including washing machine and dryer. Walking distance to shops, park and beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

The best place tostay

The neighbourhood was super quiet, the town was inviting and very friendly, the fishing was super great and the weather (raining and cool) was perfect for us. Many happy memories made here.

Idyllic cottage and location

We loved our stay here. Location was perfect for us; just a short walk to beach, shops, cafes. St Leonard’s was a beautiful beach spot and much quieter than some other nearby towns that we drove through on our visit. We will be back!

Wonderful place to stay clean, comfortable, and everything very well organised and provided for. there's a wonderful outside sitting area, very private and peaceful. A lovely stay.

Great location, spacious for a cottage stay , great outdoor setting. Bed quality needs reviewing

Great stay, a very well kept cottage that lives up to the description on site. Was easy to access and the outdoor area was suburb to spend time in. My only advice for an amazing overall experience would be to please get new bedding (mattresses ) as and some More crockery for a full house. Other then that amazing!

Lovely relaxing stay

Gorgeous house, immaculately clear, 5 minutes walk from the shops and beach. Loved the little extra touches that Annmarie left like the beach umbrella and chairs, buckets and spades! It's a shame we didn't have the weather to use them but looking forward to going back :)
