We stayed at this property over the weekend and, while there were some positive aspects, there were also a few areas that could be improved. The property itself was okay, but we found it to be a bit overpriced for what we expected, especially with young children in tow. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable mould smell, and the mattresses were quite uncomfortable, leading to poor sleep for us. Additionally, the metal bunk beds in one of the rooms were very squeaky, and any movement on the top bunk woke up the person below, which made it difficult for our children to get a good night's rest.We also noticed a fair amount of dog hair on the couch, which was a bit off-putting. The two Border Collie dogs next door barked quite frequently, which made it challenging to settle our children, especially combined with the noise from the squeaky beds. One issue we encountered was with the bathroom. After our kids used the bath, the water backed up through the shower drain and blocked the bathroom sink, preventing the water from draining for quite some time.Another concern was the dishwasher, which had an unpleasant odor, similar to rotten fish, making it unusable due to the smell when the door was opened. On a positive note, the backyard was spacious and provided a great space for our children to play. However, the street is quite hilly, which made biking with young kids a bit difficult. While we appreciate the property's potential, we hope future guests have a better experience.
