About Dave Robinson

Welcome! This will be the 12th year that My wife Patti and I have been renting our Vacation Homes. It all started when we bought our first Condo, and it grew from there. Now we own, manage, and rent our many vacation homes, renting to nearly 2,000 Happy Guest families just like you every year at two locations: The Beach and right outside the Main Gate at Disney World! It keeps us very busy and we love it. The best part is helping our guests have a fabulous stay while in Florida. We want you to have a fantastic time in any of our wonderful Vacation Homes.

About us: We grew up in the Midwest - Columbus Ohio, and Naperville, Illinois. We made the move down to Sunny Orlando to be closer to our Vacation Homes, and we live here now, running all of our properties from here, it is a family business. We pride ourselves (since we live locally), on taking great care of our vacation homes, and doing the same for our guests.

Not perfect but a good value for the money!

Wife and I spent 2 weeks in Canaveral Towers in August and had a very relaxing vacation.

CT unit 402 met most of our needs. The kitchen was well supplied with pots, pans, dishes and had modern appliances.

The grounds and public areas at Canaveral Towers are very well maintained and the covered parking was a definite plus. Beach access was excellent ...inclined ramps instead of steps to cross the dunes made using a wheeled beach cart very easy. PLUS the beach itself was nearly perfect; wide expanse of sand and very clean. Quiet/safe neighborhood.

There were a few issues that kept it from being a 5 star stay; none of which kept us from enjoying our vacation.

1. The Internet access is via a hotel style Hot Spot that every condo at Canaveral Towers can access and my tablet kept reminding me the connection was not secure. There is a private Cable Wi-Fi modem/router in the unit but it did not connect to the Internet. I could log into the router (the password was printed on the modem/router) but the router itself would not connect to the Internet.

This is a quote from the owner regarding the Internet in response to previous review:

" ...the internet you were trying to hook up to was probably the BUILDING internet, you want to hook up to the UNIT's own PRIVATE internet, and the instructions are in the unit. It is a cable modem."

Actually the instructions in the unit are for connecting to the BUILDING INTERNET, not the private modem.

2. The water from the faucets has a bad smell and taste. After talking with other guests, it appears this is the case in all of the Canaveral Towers units ... buy some bottled water.

3. The washing machine is also the dryer. It takes roughly 3 hours to wash and dry a small load of clothes. Towels/sheets take much longer. Also you cannot dry one load while you wash another one. It is a very ineffecient system. Also, the laundry room is in the master closet and open to the master bedroom and there is no door between, so the noise from the machine means you cannot go to bed while you wash/dry a load of clothes. Not a big deal, but really should put a door in the closet/laundry room.

If secure Internet is not a big concern, and you bring bottled water, then this unit works fine for a couple or a family of 4. A party of 6 would have problems with sleeping arrangements (no slepper sofa) and the dining area only has 4 chairs.

All things considered, we had a great vacation and I will definitely stay there again.

Great view of beach

The condo is nice but needs a few upgrades. Could use a new TV and better washer dryer. My family had a very nice stay and would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful view but unit needs deep cleaning.

Love the location and the people that live in this building. Unit was nice enough but needs some attention to detail. I have a list to submit to the apartment manager/owner. Relaxing setting to be sure! Pool and grounds are well kept.

Nice property for the money

Nice location and a nce property for the money. However, it did have a few issues. The biggest issue was the internet service. Most of the time there was no service, although at times service was available for several hours. Internet issues: My devices, phone, iPad or computer would always connect to the router, but the router would only stay connected to the server for about 60 seconds and shut off.....very frustrating. Additionally, the old tube type TV in the living room should be replaced. It did work fine, but most channels are HD and it was rather fuzzy. I'd probably not recommend this unit if internet is important to your stay, otherwise it was fine.
