This home was amazing!! Our stay at this house was our favorite out of our entire Alaska trip. Great hiking trails, fishing and a short drive to Seward.
I highly recommend this home ! Clean, spacious, and ideal location. Plenty of freezer space to store our sockeye salmon. And thank you for letting us use your fishing net !
Our family had a wonderful stay here! We wish we could have stayed longer. The house is spotless and everything we needed was there. Karen and Wayne are excellent hosts and willing to share local places to see and things to do to make your trip special. The photos don’t do justice...spectacular views and an even more beautiful home! Plenty of space for our family and very comfortable and relaxing. We would definitely book another stay at Eagle’s Haven!
We had an amazing 5 night stay at this lovely property. There was easy access to the main roads where we enjoyed some great hikes. It was a quick drive to Seward for a glacier and wildlife tour. We could walk to the little convenience store if needed. The house was very spacious and easy for the 8 of us to spread out as needed. We could have spent the entire 5 days just looking at the view from the back deck! Wow!
Thanks for opening up your home.
We HIGHLY recommend Eagles Haven. Superb location with even better hosts. Wayne and Megan were incredibly kind and helpful, couldn’t ask for better hosts. The kids had plenty of room to roam outside and plenty of games and things provided in the house. The house was better than expected. Full kitchen up and down with ample beds the kitchen was fully stocked, even for a group of 9. We ate in and cooked fresh salmon and other meals and had no problem serving all. There is a trail out the back door that Wayne told us about and we explored that area and, wow what a view.
Cooper Landing was a great fit for us. Kids took over the downstairs--how wonderful was that. Hosts were right there if we needed them. Kitchen had everything we needed. Master bedroom had a comfy chair looking out on Kenai Lake.
My family thoroughly enjoyed the Cooper Landing home. The owners, Wayne & Karen, were friendly and gracious. We would not hesitate to rebook with them.
We had such a great time in this home. It was big enough for two families and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The view is AMAZING and the owners are the sweetest couple. I would def recommend this home and will be staying here again in the near future.
My name is Megan, and my husband is Jeff. We have 2 amazing kids, and love spending time with them. We met in California, where I grew up, and lived there while Jeff served in the Marine Corps. When he got out in 2017, we decided to move to Lincoln, Nebraska and start our real estate business. Although that takes up most of our time, our greatest passion in life is travel! So we have combined two things we love, real estate and travel, to become vacation rental hosts!
Why they chose this property
We love this house because it has an amazing view and plenty of space for the whole extended family. We love coming up to Cooper Landing, AK for the salmon run each year. Fishing the the Russian River is our favorite thing to do when we are here but the area is teaming with amazing outdoor adventure activities. Whether you want to raft down the Kenai River with a fishing guide, fly fish for trout at Quartz Creek, hike or mountain bike the beautiful Resurrection Trail, hike the Russian River Falls Trail to watch the Salmon jump up the falls, this cabin will make a great home base. You can also take a day trip to Seward, Hope or Homer for even more Alaska sight seeing and adventures.
