ST RAPHAEL , The Property - It is a former convent and local landmark. Today it boasts three elegant, self-contained holiday accommodations set in a 6000sq. metre private estate with a rambling serene garden and views to Sydney & the Blue Mountains.

THE CONVENT
- The reconfigured and refurbished Convent is a luxurious residence in the east wing of the main building
- European style central heating and gas fireplace to create a cosy atmosphere on cold winter nights.
- Two extra large bedrooms, two stunning bathrooms, a huge open plan eat-in kitchen, tasteful lounge and dining area (with an extension table) and two separate delightfully warm winter sunrooms.
- Spa bath
- French doors lead from the main living rooms onto your own north facing patio sitting area overlooking some of the many rambling gardens.
- The Convent is very spacious. It can accommodate 2 couples or a family of 4

Lovely location!

Easily walkable to town and the Leura train station, and felt cozy and secluded at the same time. The spacious kitchen and fireplace were highlights! Thank you for making our stay incredible!

Loved the heritage of the convent, the spaciousness of the accommodation, the beautiful garden, the location near Leura, the kitchen and the homeliness of the rooms with everything you could need, including a good library of books! Very comfortable. Downsides were the noise from the highway and the railway that had traffic and trains going all night. We had hoped for a quiet location.

A quick trip away

Loved the property, it was a great location and stunning house. Was perfect for our needs. Only issues we had was the bed is very soft (which is an us issue not the venue), and as there is another place above us, we were woken up early both mornings with the noise of people moving around upstairs. We had hoped for sleep in, but if you're an early riser it wouldn't be an issue. Otherwise, loved the place!

The bed issue is a variable as some say too soft because we have a bamboo mattress protector yet other guests state "top beds"....so I guess as you say it is a "us" or personal opinion. The ultra trail was on the weekend you stayed and I believe every part of the building was up early on the three days save your last night. Absolute Bliss

Clean, warm and comfortable (besides the bed. it was way too soft and not as comfy for our liking ) besides that our stay was bliss! Very relaxing and everything was thought through well providing everything you need and more. Thank you Maurice, your level of communication was very impressive which made it easy for us and offered peace of mind.. I would highly recommend this property and will be happy to return again.

I feel that this property was lovely, great location, views , everything... I feel though a little more thought could be given to little things could be improve the stay to make the stay perfect... ie. Bubble bath provided, paper towel, more everyday glasses- (there were lots of wine glasses) softer towels & providing more milk .. overall a lovely place ..

In 2009, 2010 and 2011, Bygone Beautys have been awarded the Hall of Fame award for both peoples choice as well as community contribution on behalf of CR Daniel Myles (Mayor of Blue Mountains City Council), Dave Garner (President, BIZNET) and Randall Walker (Chair, BMLOT).
