The only issues we had were that check-in was supposed to be at 4pm on Friday so we could finish cleaning, but many many things were delivered on top of where our cleaning lady was working and I didn't have a chance to finish doing the plumbing on the under-sink water heater. The VRBO site clearly says check-in at 4 pm for both Bird Cottage and The Nest. Items we let you and your crew borrow didn't get returned, the chains on the life jacket box was broken by one of your guests, the yard light in front of the pavilion was destroyed, and there was trash everywhere on the grounds. A hand towel in Bird Cottage was used for makeup removal and it had to be thrown away. The Nest had 4 men sleeping in it when we clearly said it was made for only two and we had no idea who was sleeping there in case of emergency. Likewise we had no idea how many or who was in Bird Cottage. No attempt was made to ask permission if fireworks could be ignited on our grounds or any location available if we gave the OK. We didn't charge a cleanup fee because we were initially told things would be cleaned up after the wedding. 10 thin bags, many not closed, leakking, and not tied up, were just left in the road in front of the pavilion. We had to rebag what was left and find a dumpster to dispose of the mess. There are still many strawberries, food pieces, broken plastic plate pieces and other items on our lawn. Finally, we got a call from one of your guests to see if we would be able to pay for a slight scratch he received when the person in front of his truck stopped so he couldn't get past or back up before the gate closed. It was not our responsibility to inform your guests about coming onto the property one at a time in an organized manner. I could say more but I think this gives you an idea why we might have been dissatisfied or irritated with some things. I guess we have a very different idea of what being respectful of a private property that we've clearly worked so hard to make nice means. We did everything we could to make sure your special day was just that and wish more things had been done to help make sure the property was back to the way it was when you arrived. Of all the family reunions, events and weddings we've had on our property, none of them have done things with as little regard of the property as we experienced because of this event. In spite of all these things, we wish you a long and happy marriage together.

We couldn't have asked for a sweeter and wonderful family than this one. It was such a pleasure to see you all enjoy the property to the fullest and we were overwhelmed by the cute and warm cards left in the cottage for us. How very, very sweey. Thank you. Susan and I really hope we get a chance to see you al again.
