Den Ballabourneen Estate er indbegrebet af stil og storhed af en stor Hunter Valley Homestead. Dette smukke land egenskab af grand proportioner, sidder på toppen 17 acres parklignende grund med fantastisk nordlige udsigt. Godset kan rumme op til 13 gæster, har 6 soveværelser og 4 badeværelser og har rummelige lyse stue og spisestue rum med en stor sten pejs og en eklektisk blanding af smukke antikke møbler.

Køkkenet er en kok glæde, med stor gas kogeplade, gå i køligt rum og bryggers, som alle løber ud på forskellige Alfresco spisestue og en imponerende infinity pool. Denne fantastiske ejendom er kun få minutter fra den vidunderlige restauranter og cafeer i Lovedale, Blade og Fishes Lillino-og The Deck Cafe for blot at nævne et par stykker. Lovedale boutique kælder døre er også kun en kort køretur væk. Den Ballabourneen Estate er din perfekte Hunter Valley getaway destination for hver gang af året.

Beautiful country house

We enjoyed the house immensely especially being such a wet weekend! It was spacious and comfortable for a family of 10 people - we never felt cramped. There's a separate small cottage which allowed some family members to have peace and quiet if needed. The kids enjoyed the pool even in the rain and in the mornings, we would see wallabies lounging about in the garden. It had a fabulous kitchen and we especially loved the cool room - we ended up having all our meals in the house as it was constantly raining, and preparing meals was easy in this well-equipped kitchen. We would definitely recommend it and would love to stay here again in the future. (We stayed Jan 2016 although the web portal only allows us to put 2015 down)

Disappointed

We booked to stay for my partners birthday with family and friends. We booked the main house and cottage for the weekend. The main house and facilities were beautiful with great facilities and a great country feel. Unfortunately the cottage had no water for the entire duration of our stay due to a pump issue. We weren't informed of this prior to arrival, it was discovered in the evening. This meant two couples on our trip had no showers or running water to even flush the toilet. The air-conditioner in the cottage also wasn't working effectively which meant it was quite cold inside. We contacted the manager of the property who dropped off two oil heaters and attempted top fix the water issue on the Saturday afternoon. However, this did not work, which meant another night with no water in the cottage accommodation for guests. After making email contact once we returned to discuss the issues, I received a reply that someone had tried to ring me but I failed to answer. This is incorrect. After double checking the number on my Stayz profile and having included my mobile number on the original email I sent I again made email contact. Almost 3 weeks later and I have heard nothing. Considering the money I paid for the accommodation I suggested good PR might be a partial refund or another weekend away to compensate for the issues with the cottage. It was extremely disappointing that these issues detracted from what should have been a fantastic weekend away.

Thank you for your review Jason, although we must say we are quite surprised, given the conversations between yourself and management during the actual stay. Firstly it is important to clarify that the cottage was not without water completely, a problem occurred which resulted in very low water pressure. As soon as this was reported, we offered to try and fix this and started by resetting the pump. Unfortunately, that did not fix the problem, but you informed our manager as long as there was a flushing toilet, it was not a problem for the cottage guests to use one of the three other bathrooms in the main house (adjacent to the cottage ), for showering. Unfortunately, a fault occurred with the air conditioning in the cottage during your stay, and we were unable to get a technician at short notice. We did however 2 oil heaters (1 for each bedroom), to provide some added warmth. We do understand it is quite frustrating when things go wrong, and will always try our best to rectify the situation. Following your stay, our manager did in fact try and contact you. Unfortunately, he failed to hear back from you, even though you had his direct number from liaising with him during the stay. We are very sorry for the unfortunate events that occurred during your stay, but believe every effort was made to ensure there was as minimal impact to you and your group as possible.

Incredible Property

We could not have had a better time here! The property is huge and very well equipped, all bedrooms a great size. The land is huge and it was incredible to see kangaroos every morning. The check in/out process was really smooth and the location was great! Great for a big group of friends or a family holiday- will absolutely be back!

Epic Milestone Birthday in Perfect Surroundings!

What an amazing country venue for a large group! So much space - lots of areas so you can be together or find a nook and chill. Super clean interior - rooms airy and beds comfy. Kitchen was amazing - butlers pantry and cool room make it a chefs delight. The property surrounded by lavender and vine roses, kangaroos lounging nearby, seats down by the pond - just idyllic! We loved the separate cottage where us younger ones had our own space to chill. Literally could not have found a better location - it made the trip even more memorable. Thanks to Unwind who were super helpful with date changes and special requests. Would highly recommend this venue!

Superb experience

For 12 friends catching up in wine country after a couple of years of rolling lockdowns in Victoria, Ballabourneen was a simply fantastic place to do it. The property is grand, expansive and beautifully presented, with the grounds picturesque. Our stay was comfortable and relaxing - just a perfect place to either congregate and have fun, or find a quiet space and re-energise. The pool and bocce pitch we’re simply fantastic. Thanks for the memories !

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. It’s a beautiful property with a lot of space. It felt like a home away from home but also had the holiday feel to it. Very relaxing weekend. Will definitely come again.

Wonderful stay at Ballabourneen!

House and cottage were both great. The house has heaps of space inside and lots of different outside areas all of which could accomodate the 13 of us which was fabulous! The weather was perfect so we spent most of our time outside playing Boccee in its own little Boccee area and cricket in the huge lawn area between the cottage and the dam. (Lots of kangaroos to see here also) Some of the group swam in the pool which they also loved. The kitchen is huge and well equipped and we were spoiled for choice as to which dining area to use. The screened in area worked well for us as it was adjacent to the kitchen and lawn area for the kids. We didn’t get to use the huge fire place as the weather was too warm but loved the amazing timber surrounds and the timber beam in the lounge room(would loved to know it’s history) A wonderful family gathering in your fabulous home, thank you!

Beautiful property and plenty of space for all!

We had a lovely 2 night stay at this gorgeous property. Very relaxing and there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy with a beautiful outlook. Loved the kangaroos visiting in the morning. The property has everything we needed.

Stunning!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Ballabourneen Estate. From the moment we arrived we were mesmerised by the sheer beauty of the house itself with high ceilings, exposed beams, walk in cool room, stunning views from every window, beautiful sitting areas outside every door, all with incredible views of the infinity pool, rolling hills & beyond. My only feedback would be to have additional towels on hand, beach towels for pool & a later check out on the Sunday. Ours was 11am which makes it difficult to enjoy a cooked breakfast & ensure the house is left tidy, instead we felt quite rushed. Otherwise all in all we had an amazing time at Ballabourneen!

Fabulous house for an extended family get together
