Absolutely loved the entire stay. Host was very attentive and responded timely. Great location and we were able to walk to anywhere we wanted to go. Check in and check out was smooth and easy.

The house was clean enough but could definitely use some updates. My biggest concern were the bed’s, specifically the mattresses, and the portable air unit on the top level. The back deck is severely rotted, and there were several soft spots. The deck furniture could definitely use a good cleaning. There were also a few small things like neither of the toasters working. On the positive side the location was great and everything was super easy in terms of check in and check out. I really liked that we didn’t have to strip the beds.

This is a great historic house, plenty of room, high ceilings, and the pool is great. Across from the park, and just great location. We had a great stay here and will come back again.

House that time forgot!

This older historical home is in dire need of love.To us, it was a bait and switch money opportunity for the owner, since pictures of the house, rooms, pool, porch, don’t match at all. The upstairs bedroom has plywood on a window with plywood stacked in hallway, air conditioner useless although they do provide fans Closets hadn’t been cleaned out of maintenance equipment and junk and bring your own hangers-none provided.Stairs were treacherous,with loose banister. The walls needed patching and painting. Outside furniture old, dirty’and worn out cushions-not inviting at all. Pool was good, just needs some landscaping along its sides as none whatsoever graced the outside of this lovely home. The kitchen well maintained and updated with ample supplies. This older home needs a lot of TLC it is a beautiful place, just forgotten. Two parking spaces is a bonus.Elevator we never used- Plenty of towels just check for cleanliness as we found two with questionable stains. Showers and toilets clean, We read the Welcome book which housed numerous old pictures of the now-day-home instead of historical facts of this home. Don’t get me wrong- the stay was adequate,yet a tad bit disappointing as we did expect a lot better from the write up and pictures.Yes,we we’re disappointed but made it work. Again,we knew it to be a historical home but, dang, just give it the loving it deserves. This is just the opinion of four ladies who had a wonderful time exploring Savannah and Tybee Island.

Home is in an excellent location, and we loved the ability to walk to so many amazing areas in Savannah. The pool was a huge hit with our kids! The home itself is older and felt some areas had some deferred maintenance but everything was functional. Lots of space for our large group. Overall a good experience. Host was very responsive to the questions we had.

Such a great location and full of charm!

Our stay was wonderful! We loved its location-it was within walking distance to so many things! Tybee Island was a quick 30 drive. The property manager was quick to respond when there any questions or issues. There were issues with the pool needing to be cleaned before we arrived, but was ready for us when we arrived. The next day, it had to be closed for a brief time, but it didn’t interfere with us getting to use it. We enjoyed the beautiful charm of the old home and the ample space for all of our crew. All the beds were so comfortable and everyone slept wonderfully. The ACs were having to work really hard due to the extreme heat, and every floor was comfortable, except top floor-it was a little warm. Overall, it was such a pleasure staying here and we hope to visit again someday.

We had an amazing time here! Pool was perfect and temp was perfect for our hot early July days. Walking distance to all the things you want to see and do in Savannah and great space to relax mid day to cool off from the heat and then go back at it later in the day. House was very special and historic. Kitchen clean and easy to cook. Grill is an afterthought so we had to change cooking plans one night, keep that in mind if you are expediting to grill your dinner. The rental service used with this house was A with communication. Will for sure come back and rent this exact place when I return to explore Savannah more.

Birthday Trip

The overall stay in the house was great. Very spacious and close to all the essentials and restaurants. Neighbors will call and complain if any issues which we did not give any. We were a bit loud the first night but did not realize the noise ordinace. Would highly rwccomend it except for the noise ordinance, because you know when its your b day youbhave to party.Overall thank you for the hospitality and would definitely do it again.

Wedding weekend

Great location and great house for our family just ahead of the wedding! Excellent for entertaining, great communication with management- very responsive. Layout is perfect for three couples or groups that can be close , or large groups where not everyone needs privacy. Bedroom on ground floor is private, bedrooms upstairs have multiple beds in them making them perfect for people who are close or families. Fantastic place!!

Great location, in a very pretty neighborhood. House was old but clean. Only complaint I have is the water pressure but you get that with an older house.

A little misleading

The house was nice enough. The kitchenware needs replaced and was missing some essential items. There were multiple toasters, but they were all broken. I understand October in Savannah can be hot, but it was a cooler week when we were there and the pool heater was not on & we were told it could not be turned on. The heated pool should not be listed first on the description. The main reason we chose this rental was because of the pool. We have 3 younger children that were pretty disappointed. The bedroom and laundry in the basement has a spiral staircase. That would also have been good to know with having 3 younger children. The separate twin bed on the 3rd floor is more like a closet with a bed in it. None of these things were terrible, necessarily… Just would have been nice to know. That’s the only reason I’m even leaving this review For future renters. Not a terrible place The price is good They just need to be more transparent with their listing Oh, and even though there are plenty of beds, it’s just basically 3 rooms

This is a historic building

This is a beautiful home in the historic district within walking distance to many attractions. Once we understood that the property is almost two hundred years old we had a better appreciation for the parts of the home that were dated and rickety. We needed four bedrooms for our group and even though this house had ample beds there were really not four separate bed rooms. The bed pictured in the family room in the basement did not exist, but there were two sofa beds in its place which our group made use of. In addition the pool was very neglected, beer cans were in the drain with a lot of debris and the water was cloudy. We called the property manager and there was a pool person out the next day who did clean the pool however the water remained cloudy for our entire stay.

Great Location

It was great. There are a lot of stairs so if you have difficulty on steps with luggage, beware, or have someone do it for you. Lot's of comfortable beds. Property manager very responsive. We didn't know the location of the fuse box. It poured the last day and there were lots of leaks - it's an old home, but the property manager seemed to be on it. We enjoyed our stay!
