Absolutely amazing!!! We rent a cabin every new years to spend time celebrating with family. The whole group agreed this was the best cabin we have ever stayed at! The hosts were super quick to respond when we had questions about the lake. Lake access was so close and easy. We pulled right in to the heated garage and unloaded without needing to step foot in the snow! It was clean! Beds were comfortable! Lots of linens and well equipped! Spices, dishes, pots and pans, coffee! You name it, they thought of it! It made it so easy to focus on family time and enjoy our time away! Thank you!!! We can’t wait to come back!

Fishing trip

The docks were farther away than we expected but the house was really good but not much of a backyard and the people that we met were really nice to talk too but overall we did have a really good time catching fish and creating fish stories that we can talk about for many years

Beautiful lake house

The house is well appointed and beautifully located. We enjoyed the kitchen and comfortable sitting areas. Beds were comfortable and the other furnishings inviting. We especially appreciated extras like spices, condiments, and the wide variety of cookware and appliances. The only regret was that the darts were not in good repair. Overall we had a great time.

Love the big garage that we can secure our boat and clean our fish on. 3 three bedrooms and 3 bathrooms are key also.

Family wedding

Our niece's wedding was at Carlos Creek Winery. This was a perfect place to stay for the weekend. It was very spacious, very clean and lots of amenities. We had a bonfire Saturday night. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful Home with Many Amenities

We were so lucky to find this place! We were in town for a family wedding, so unfortunately had no time to enjoy the lake. But it's the perfect family home. It is spacious, comfortable, with lovely furnishings, including comfy beds and soft towels. There are many thoughtful amenities throughout -- staples in the pantry, Kuerig cups, condiment packets, toiletries people tend to forget. Plus, it's in a beautiful peaceful neighborhood. We hope to be back for a longer stay! Our sincere thanks to the hosts.

Great place!

Clean, modern, perfect!! Went with the plan of getting my 7 yr old to enjoy fishing. Plan succeeded! The home was great! Modern kitchen, homeowner was super friendly & inviting.

Great place to stay!

Our stay at this property was great! The house was clean and fully furnished (kitchen had every utensil we needed and more!). The house had plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, etc. which was great. The hosts were very easy to work with and let us check in early. Overall, great experience!

Very Nice Home

We had a great time spent with family. The house was very close to the lake. We did drive to the public access spot because that seemed like a better option than the lake access point closer to the house (short walk but very weedy). We didn’t mind packing our stuff up and driving tho. We enjoyed time spent swimming and hanging out at the house! Would definitely stay here again!!

A nice getaway

We had cloudy weather all week. Went into Alec, took in the Runestone Museum, shopped, walked, and had some ice cream. We played outdoor games, indoor games, and had a great visit. Thank you!

Fishing trip

We love the location, garage setup,and fish cleaning area in garage. Multiple visits over the years. Disappointing cooking equipment. Frying pan should be thrown away. non stick pan from Walmart would be a huge improvement. Lights on property all seem so dim for today's led availability. Downstairs shower hasn't worked for the last 2 years. Instructions for tv and only streaming availability for us older people was a bummer. Had 2 go 2 bar 2 watch game 7 of Timberwolves. Newly installed oven was not functioning. Mosquitoes were awful. for 3 nights maybe property could be fogged? Deck had dead leaves on it,where could that come from in may?

We love to travel, especially when we can meet local people and experience the area
Julie grew up in Southern MN on a farm. Steve was a California guy, spent many years overseas during his career. We have two dogs that rule our lives - as they should, 4 children and 4 grandchildren between us.

We purchased this property from Julie's parents. As they are now in assisted living, we saw this as an opportunity to have a place for us and our families to come to for extended stays (with our puppies, of course) visit with them. It has just worked out that we decided we could offer this home to others, either short or longer stays, throughout the year as a rental.
It is a beautiful, warm, lived in home with a neighborhood of friends and new acquaintances.
