Great Getaway

Surf dogz Lorne was absolutely delightful and so welcoming for us and our furbaby. Everything was provided for and great communication during the stay and leading up to it. Highly recommend.

Clean, comfortable, good location

Loved almost everything about the property! The only downside was the very steep driveway and very hard to get out. The accommodation was extremely clean, comfortable and inviting. Welcomed with a bottle of wine, chocolate and information booklet on the Lorne amenities. Seamless checkin and checkout. Would’ve loved a cooktop as it was too cold to use bbq. Nice, clean and secure yard for my dog. Very safe and private space for the guests and pets. Well priced also. Would definitely recommend the property - just be prepared for a steep driveway and entry.

Perfect spot for a couple stay with a pup!

We loved our little unit, so well presented! It had everything we needed. Our fur baby loved it too! Nothing seemed to be any trouble.

Perfect for weekend surfside getaway with the pooch

Stayed here with girlfriend and dogs, met all expectations! Very dig friendly, comfortable bed, close enough to beach and local cafes!

Great dog friendly stay

We had a great 2 night stay with our dog. The accomodation was comfortable, clean and warm. Able to use facilities to make breakfast in the morning. A cook plate for a hot breaky would be an added bonus. Amazing to have a place that is so dog friendly. Lovely hosts too.with a lovely bottle of wine on arrival. Thank you!

Great pet friendly get away

Great stay, easy check in process with clean rooms and secure backyard for dog. The location was close to the Main Street but up quite a big hill if you plan on walking, besides that everything was wonderful!

Fabulous Place to Stay

Our first holiday away with our dog - and it couldn't have gone better! A fabulous place to take your pet away on holiday and enjoy all that beautiful Lorne has to offer. Will definitely be back :)

Unpleasant stay

Unfortunately our stay at Surfdogz wasn’t great. We arrived and discovered the accommodation had a very unpleasant smell. The photos on the app of the bbq area are misleading, as the area is very unappealing. The bbq area is so dirty and I can’t imagine anyone wanting to cook or eat in that area. The accomodation needs a thorough clean, the windows were extremely dirty and the building is covered with cobwebs. There is no insulation between the two levels and unfortunately can be quite noisy.

Great little stay away with our furry baby

Place Just as described. Cozy, with everything we needed for a short stay. With a lot of privacy. Short drive to shops and restaurants. Dog friendly. We will be back again

Perfect stay

Such a great spot for us and our dog. Nice and secure yard with covered areas. Short walk to the beach and shops of Lorne. Warm and cosy in winter. Only thing to be aware it's halfway up a steep hill but so are most places in Lorne really :)

Great apartment, great spot

Sportzdog is a great little apartment for a couple and a dog. Close to the dog beach up on the hill, views were great. Apartment was exceptionally clean and tidy with everything we needed. We had that we needed and were very comfortable. Great place to get a bit of extra exercise walking up to the property and beautiful views doing so. Would certainly stay here again.

Great getaway!

We loved our stay and being able to have our dog join us on holiday was definitely an added bonus. Surfdogz was clean and well kept and had everything we needed for our short stay. The apartment was in a great position, close to the dog beach and the charming town of Lorne. Communication with the hosts throughout the entire process was second-to-none. Responses were timely and nothing was too much trouble - even after we had returned home and realised an item had been left behind. Thank you!

Surfdogz

Firstly the host was very friendly and accommodating. I had a couple of issues and they sorted them out for me. It is very clean, they switched the split system on before I arrived to warm it up. I definitely chose the coldest 3 days of the year to stay at Lorne, only one day was nice enough to walk on the beach. I booked for 3 nights but only stayed for 2 due to the weather. The access to the premises is risky if you have a smaller car, mine is a Corolla. It would be suitable to an SUV or a 4 wheel drive as they don't have a propper driveway, you have to driver over the kerb. The only way I could get in without scraping underneath my car was to drive into next doors driveway and over the grass nature strip to get to their driveway. This got a bit hairy after two or three times, when I left I felt my wheels slipping and I thought I was going to get bogged but I finally got out, my wheels were spinning. They said I could park on the road but it is very narrow and I was concerned my car would get hit. Plus I had things to carry all the way down their driveway. I realise they live upstairs, but it is a bit noisy through the day, I could hear children running across the floor. It settled down at night but you can hear their every movement, including opening and closing of cupboard doors. There is only a microwave and a kettle/toaster so there is no way to really cook any breakfast there is an outdoor bbq but too cold. It is high up on a hill so quite a walk into Lorne.
