Gold Coast

We had a marvelous stay! The property was perfect for our family. We are familiar with the area and chose it because of the location. Arashi beach is less than a mile—my favorite!Victor was a very attentive host. The condo was larger than I expected. The decor was tasteful. We had a small mishap and Victor came through for us! The employees at the guard shack are also helpful!

Great Location!

My family and I (husband, 6 yr old, 1 yr old and 78 yr old mother) stayed at this townhome in the Gold Coast February 2021. We loved it from day one, so much so that we extended our stay two additional nights. The townhome was clean, had a well-stocked kitchen, endless hot water, included great amenities such as a small private pool, which our kids loved in the evenings, and beach chairs / cooler that both came in very handy. I extensively searched out the best area to stay in and The Gold Coast is well manicured and accessible to some of the best beaches in Aruba. The manager Victor was very responsive and took care of our every need, which were few, promptly.

This property was not clean at all. Upon arrival it was covered in black hairs upstairs and dowm and had bits all over the floor. The sofa bed was disgusting, the sofa itself needs replacing. There were cockroaches in the shower that we had to remove. One of the shower doors doesn't open properly and some of the towels had been folded up wet. My wife actually cried upon arrival and having stayed one night we left the property to return to our previous rental where luckily they had some space still, but only for 5 nights. We were forced to return for the last night whereby we just dropped our food in the kitchen and went out. Upon our return the food was completely covered in small ants and we soon discovered the kitchen was infested. I had already tried to contact the owner about switching off the noisy pool fountain at night to which he didn't respond. The property is generally run down. I have travelled all over the world to many different places. I expect the odd insect here and there in this climate but this place was also very unclean. There wasn't even a broom to sweep up. As it was our last night there was no point trying to contact the owner as 1. He had already ignored me and 2. I was leaving in the morning and didn't want to waste my holiday time. Lesson learnt. Do not book this place. The community itself and facilities are decent but this property is seriously lacking. Thankfully we stayed at some amazing places in Aruba but this mistake cost me over a grand.

Great townhouse in a beautiful community

Two of us spent 10 days at this lovely, well equipped townhouse in Gold Coast. The community is safe and beautifully maintained. It is less than 5 minutes by car from the beach and 10 minutes away from the high rise hotels and the malls. The townhouse is close to one of the community pools, which rarely had more than a couple of people in attendance. The pictures and online description of the unit are accurate; it is clean, comfortable, and attractively decorated. The backyard seating area and plunge pool with a waterfall were the highlights of our downtime! We had issues with some of the cable remotes and safe, which were promptly addressed by the maintenance crew, but required their return on another day. We chose to forego some of the repairs so as not to lose any time from our vacation. I hope these issues have been corrected. It was a wonderful experience! We hope to return again soon.

Quiet Relaxation

The 2 level unit was accurately depicted in the listing... simply furnished with the things we needed, & located in a quiet community, just a few minutes drive from civilization, beaches and snorkeling. The dipping pool (approx 10x6 ft) was great for cooling off at the end of a long beach day. The Gold Coast complex has several pools and a very tasty restaurant, Salinas. It was nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit. We experienced a maintenence issue during our stay, which Victor and his colleagues were able to address VERY quickly without needing to interrupt our vacation. Thank you, Victor!

Disappointing

This is the first time I have ever left a negative review. There were multiple issues showing lack of pride and maintenance. We had daily water intrusion issues in living area apparently from the toilet next door. Upstairs screen was in tatters. Canvass sunscreen had multiple rips. Showers had little hot water. Stove top elements did not work. Dryer was minimally functioning. Lamp had no light bulbs. Pool was size of bathtub. No coffee table in living room. Manager was very pleasant lady who spoke little English and no ability to resolve issues. Our friends who also stayed at the Gold Coast had a 3 bedroom Villa with much larger pool and outside lounge area paid less than we did!

Great property, suited all of our needs. Location close to everything!

We absolutely loved staying at this duplex. Its been great for all of our needs: family stay accomodiations, location (close to all the key areas: beaches, snorkeling, hotels, kiting/surfing sports, but with plenty of privacy!) Common Gold Coast ammenities are absolutely great! lounge/with the pool and great resto! The plunge pool at the condo is a great addition to tye patio as we could relax and enjoy early sun. The host, Victor, could not be more accomodating from booking through our entire stay! When we had few questions about wifi and AC - the response and solution was immediate without us even following up. I'd highly recomend this property and we most likely come back! Thank you Victor and Gold Coast!

Excellent condo and gated community

The place was very clean and looked exactly as described and photos. Very comfortable. The small pool was great for a quick dip in the afternoon or evening dip. Perfect temperature, not too hot or cold. A/C kept us plenty cool and comfortable. Nice touch w/ beach towels and beach chairs for (must visit) Baby beach. 3 pools and 2 tennis courts in the gated community - all very nice! Wonderful island and Gold Coast is a perfect place to stay! Victor was a very attentive host!!
