We really enjoyed the home and location was fantastic for our family and dogs. The host was very responsive and catered to our needs. Wonderful experience and look forward to doing it again.
Excellent communication, really nice people, accommodative of requests and needs. Nice quiet location with a great view of a meadow and walking path behind the house. Hot tub was nice. Plenty of wood provided for the fireplaces.
We had looked at this property several times and were excited for our stay, but a few key things hold me back from a better rating. First, what we did really enjoy was the master bedroom suite. It was large and appeared to have been recently updated. Otherwise the home was dated and needed a deep clean and pest control visit. We had a pack of squirrels(?) that would run back and forth in the attic between 4am -6am every morning.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that our home wasn’t meet your expectations.
Our listing includes current photos that accurately represent the home’s character and décor, allowing guests to make an informed decision before booking. While the home has a fun, eclectic style rather than a newly remodeled aesthetic, many of our guests appreciate its warmth, spaciousness, and charm.
We respectfully disagree with the characterization that the home required a "deep cleaning." The property is professionally cleaned and inspected before every guest's arrival, and we take great pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable home. While we understand that individual expectations may vary, our many five-star reviews consistently reflect the high standard of cleanliness our guests experience.
As for the squirrels, our home is located in a wooded mountain setting where wildlife is part of the experience. Occasionally guests may hear squirrels or other wildlife on the roof or in the surrounding trees, particularly at certain times of the year. In this particular instance, we discovered a family under the eaves and have worked with the local humane pest control to safely remove them.
We appreciate your feedback and remain committed to providing the welcoming experience reflected in the many five-star reviews we've been fortunate to receive.
We had a wonderful time. Riding bikes, kayaking and hiking around Mccall. What a fantastic home base this home is. Quiet, scenic, a wonderful location and a lovely home. Service was excellent and the hot tub was perfect.
We had a lovely weekend getaway in the snow.. the property is beautiful and we loved the spacious living room and fireplace. The hot tub was a great experience while it was snowing!
Our trip could not have been better. The home was wonderful and close to so many wonderful activities. We were in the hot tub after spending fun days outdoors. The home was beautiful & comfortable.
Lovely home in a quiet location. Well appointed kitchen, spacious floor plan, comfortable master suite, open two car garage, serene back deck overlooking golf course.

Hi James,
Please reach out to me directly with some suggestion on what you need for a five star review as that is what we strive for!
Most Sincerely,
Susan
Everything was wonderful and my family was pleasantly surprised. Of course if I were to LIVE there I would want to work on some things, but for vacation it is Wonderful. Super fun to sit out on the patio and watch some people attempt at swinging a club (LOL). Baby fawns visited us daily.
We loved the fireplace and hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked. Great trails through the snow for walking. IF you have good hearing and are a light sleeper, bring earplugs for the queen room as the baseboard heater is a little noisy.
Property listing had lots of information about items for children, but that wasn’t the case. Seem to be set up more as a personal property then as a rental. Great location overall good neighborhood with access to everything McCall has to offer.

Thanks for your review Joe. There are games for the kids in the cabinet by the game table. Please do let us (and any other host at any property) know right away if something is missing or you need something. We pride ourselves on great service and would have been happy to provide additional items (within reason of course) if we had been informed during your stay.
Most Sincerely,
Susan
We had a great stay in McCall. Very relaxing few days and my son couldn’t get enough playing in the snow in the back of the home. He would spend hours out there. Only thing that would have been nice would have been if the property manager turned the heat up before our arrival. It took hours to get the home to a comfortable temperature and we couldn’t use the hot tub until the following day because that needed to heat up as well. Other than that, it was perfect for our family.

Spacious, comfortable getaway in McCall
Spent a few days after Christmas here with family. Loved the huge great room with its soaring ceilings and beautiful views. Kitchen was well-stocked with all the tools and staples we needed to make gourmet feasts. So glad we were able to bring our dog; he had a great time romping through the snowy golf coarse and Susan had everything we needed for him to be comfortable, including dog toys and a nice dog bed. Plenty of space for everyone, and the beds were really comfortable. Enjoyed being able to watch a little TV, too, since we don't have all those channels at home! Susan was more than generous and made us very comfortable. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Susan is speedy in responding, kind and extremely helpful.
Pineapple Place exceeded our expectations. Our family of 7 fit comfortably in this lovely home. The kitchen is FULLY stocked with everything we needed to create exceptional cuisine. Two large dining tables was a delightful surprise allowing ample space for puzzles and games to remain set up. The gorgeous fireplace was amply supplied with kindle and firewood. What a treat. The view from the deck hot tub while snowing was also an unexpected wonder.
Thank you for making this 4 night family get together memorable.

Very dated home....animal hair everywhere
We had read the reviews and for the price per night expected a modern, beautiful home. It’s definitely set in the 80’s. Pink tub in the master and super low sitting toilets. There are these very creepy dolls in the master bedroom also!
Animal hair all over the carpet in the living room and super old furniture.
Good news, beautiful view and nice hot tub. Internet and TV worked, as well as all appliances.
Location is perfect, as it’s close to McCall downtown.

We are disappointed by this review as the photographs and description of Pineapple Place very accurately show the home. This is a pet friendly mountain cabin that has it’s older charm and was designed by Frank Brown who’s legacy as an Olympic Skier and local architect is well known in McCall. We love it because it is just that. If Jackie needed a more modern home there are plenty of other options available. We also want to hear from our guests as soon as they arrive if there Is an issue, so we can immediately address it. We are dedicated to providing wonderful experiences for our guests and can only do so if given the opportunity through great communication. We strive to continuously improve our properties along with the description information provided to help our guests make the right choices for their stay in McCall.
The entire place was clean. Beautiful views of the golf course. Well appointed kitchen. Drip brew coffee not K Cup. Would definitely stay here again. VERY easy to communicate with the owner.
Great Family Thanksgiving at The Pineapple Place!!!
Because our daughter and her family all live in McCall, ID, the rest of the family all decided to go there for Thanksgiving, which was GREAT!!! This lovely home was our main meeting place and there was lots of snow, sledding and skiing...great fun for all! This home is beautiful and had EVERYTHING we needed. Susan, the property manager was wonderful to work with and made the whole process very easy for us!!
The cabin was great, very cozy and had everything we needed. The kids loved the hot tub and we enjoyed the deer that showed up every day.
