Ferguson Valley Retreat

The property is tucked away in a private and peaceful area of Ferguson Valley. A spacious two storey home situated on 10 acres, enjoys an absolutely stunning position adjacent to Crooked Brook Forest and working farms. The friendly resident kangaroos and other Australian wildlife are regularly seen grazing and drinking from the property's dam. With both Crooked Brook and Joshua Creek running through the property it offers magnificent rural views from every room making it a perfect holiday home.

One or two families can easily be accommodated comfortably in the four bedroom, three bathroom home. There are two separate living areas - one down and one up. The upstairs living area includes TV, video game console, music centre, pool and fusball table. The open plan kitchen, dining and living areas of the house are well suited to easy family life. An outdoor setting allows guests to make the most of this idyllic rural setting.

We highly recommend this charming house at any time of year. This is a wonderful location for families wishing to experience the Valley's ambiance and hospitality.


Ferguson Valley

Ferguson Valley is situated just two hours south of Perth. The home of “Gnomesville” offers a fantastic getaway amongst spectacular rolling hills, lush green pastures and natural Australian bushland. But the delights of Valley don't stop with the view:
• Taste award winning wines in one of Australia’s best new wine regions.
• Take in the relaxed scenery while enjoying some of the region’s finest foods.
• Visit galleries of local artists.
• Enjoy a picnic and walk through National Forests and Wellington Dam.
• Close to the Bibbulmun (walking) and Munda Bindi (cycling) tracks

For guests wishing to explore further, Bunbury and Busselton are a 30 minute drive and the Margaret River region is 90 minutes making it an ideal day trip.

Beautiful stay as always!

Third time Ive stayed at this property and its always such a nice stay! The house is full of games and things to do. Nice views and a quiet, relaxing outdoor space. Beautiful breweries close by and Gnomesville to explore, great weekend away with friends and family!

2nd visit to Crooked Brook

We stayed last year & loved it so much we booked again with my Dad who is visiting from the uk. Awesome house & surrounds. Great location for checking out Ferguson Valley. Will definitely book again.

Special getaway with friends

We had been to this property previously and enjoyed our stay and thought it would be nice in winter. A lovely house albeit a bit difficult to heat the house even with the lovely wood fire. Enjoyed our stay.

Great Stay

I’ve stayed at lots of holiday homes and this is one of the best. Great quiet location. No mobile service which actually got the kids out side and lots of added extras. Highly recommended.

Was just what we needed

After a stressful few years this stay was just what we needed. The house was perfect to share with another family. Was lovely to sit outside every night for dinner and go exploring the local towns during the day. The house was clean and spacious and had a coffee machine!

Great digital detox retreat with no crowds

If you want a chance to connect with a bunch of old friends, play pool, beautiful setting, visit posh Winery restaurants, eat good Brewery Grub, Bunbury Beach and CBD; all 1/2 hr away and have it all without a big summer holiday mob? THEN stay at Joshua Brook!

Better than the photos

This is a wonderful property and even better than the photos. The house is very well equipped with all types of glasses, cutlery, crocery, pots and pans. There isnt a hot tub or playground though as listed and thr main bed is quite hard.would definitely recommend this beautiful home. We had a great stay. crockepots and pans

Crooked Brook Short Break

This was a fantastic property for our group which consisted of 3 adults, 4 children and a dog. If you are looking for a property where you can disconnect and unwind, then look no further. Once the kids got over their trauma of having no internet, they downed their devices and happily played outside for hours. Lovely, spacious house with plenty to do, and within easy driving distance of plenty of towns and attractions.

Lovely peaceful

The home was so lovely & peaceful, clean ! All I would say is it would be nice to have a TV downstairs too . We had a dog that couldn't go upstairs as she is old & stairs were too high. So one of us had to be with her at all times .. would be nice to have tv to watch .

Farm House with everything you need

Tranquil. No noise at all, except early morning birds and farm animals from adjacent fields. Very welcoming sounds for the city people! House was clean and modern. Plenty of bathrooms. pool table / table tennis, coffee machine, bbq and even laundry appliances. Can’t even think of anything negative. Thanks for providing a great place!

Fabulous family holiday in Ferguson Valley

The house was great. One of the best we’ve stayed in. Great to have toiletries, suncream, kitchen cleaning supplies provided. We enjoyed table tennis & movie watching. Glad to have been forewarned of the lack of reception. We printed out maps & info (kindly provided by the owner) so we could plan our days. We all enjoyed the tech-free house & spent more time together playing Uno, reading books & watched movies. There’s so much to see & do within close proximity to the house. We would happily come & stay again.

Weekend getaway

The Ferguson Valley is a beautiful spot to visit with so many attractions that appealed to us. This property was the perfect base to see it all. The kitchen has everything you need 2 living spaces are large and roomy there are 2 master size bedrooms that are perfectly appointed and 2 smaller size bedrooms bright and fresh but more suited to young children. My 22 year son who had the bunk room was disappointed that the dinosaur puzzle were missing all the heads 😫but he had fun reliving his childhood for a while 😊 Thank you for a wonderful stay

Beautiful country location

This was a fab place for a large group to have a country get away. The house was clean and plenty of fire wood to keep us warm. The small bridge you need to croos over to the house was a little tight but ALL 4-wheel drive vehicles made it safely across. The were a couple of items in the kitchen we would have liked and the cooker and cook top were not the easiest to operate or understand. Other than that, it was a great STAY! :)

A fantastic long weekend break

Beautiful home in peaceful, rural setting. Lots of space. Home well appointed. Our family enjoyed hanging out in the games room. With zero phone/internet coverage we went completely old school - listening to music (bought our own speaker and had downloaded playlists), playing board games, getting competitive with a bit of pool and ping pong and when the sun was out we kicked the footy in the open space! Advice - do your homework re destination planning (directions / road maps / opening & close times etc.) as you can’t just open google and look things up spontaneously as there’s no coverage at the house! And - if you do enjoy quieter activities, maybe bring or download books to chill out with - and pre-download your music as you can’t stream anything :)

Crooked Brook

Overall a very good stay in a beautiful house and location. We assumed the whole house would be air conditioned not just the two main bedrooms, but thankfully there was a nice breeze coming through. I think a TV downstairs would also be a bonus, as one of our digs cannot climb stairs and is too big to carry, so one of us had to stay downstairs if the others were upstairs watching TV. Thanks.
