Imagine driving to a secret hideaway nestled in a deep canyon with a beautiful tree-lined stream running through it - a magical land that borders the west side of majestic Zion National Park. Our enchanting, romantic Cottage is situated on the famous 750 acre Sunset Canyon Ranch conveniently located for adventures in Zion National Park, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon, Snow Canyon, and even Las Vegas. After a day of exploring our breathtaking country with the hustle and bustle of other tourists, you can look forward to returning to the comfort of your private Shangri-la.

Romantic, cozy, and comfortable! The Cottage is ideal for an amorous getaway or just a rejuvenating, peaceful retreat for two! 850 sq. ft, with living, dining, kitchen, bath, and master bedroom. TV in the bedroom as well as living room. Wood burning fireplace (seasonally) Private patio with bbq, outdoor dining, and year-round hot-tub under the stars. You'll find many amenities in addition to hiking, biking, and exploring Zion Park, including a sport-court for playing pickleball, tennis, or basketball, access to the ranch pool and ping-pong table, catch and release fishing on our pond, and the luxury of getting away to a quiet, peaceful, private domain.

If you don't feel like cooking, enjoy one of the many wonderful restaurants in Virgin, Springdale, LaVerkin, or Hurricane. then escape from the bustling crowds back to your own kingdom.

The west side of Zion National Park, only two minutes by car, is one of the best-kept secrets and is home to some of Zion's most famous hikes, including the Subway, West Rim, and Hop Valley. Here you can also investigate ancient caves with Indian Petroglyphs or discover rare dinosaur tracks. The Park's main entrance in Springdale is only 18 minutes away where shuttles will take you to the many other hikes the Park has to offer, such as Angel's Landing, Weeping Rock, Sinewava, and Emerald Pools. You’ll find terrific shopping and dining in Springdale as well.

For many years we've opened our doors to travelers from all over the world and the telling tale is this: they come back again and again and refer us to their friends and family. Accommodations fill up quickly, so booking early in the season is suggested.

We had an absolutely wonderful visit. We have made lifelong memories on this vacation and that was thanks to having such a wonderful host and great place to stay! The cottage (and ranch) were the perfect escape from our busy lives. We appreciated all of the little touches in the cottage, it had everything we needed and made us feel special. The hot tub was a very much-needed respite after a day of long hikes. Vickie's recommendations were spot on for places to eat and things to see while we were there! Vickie was very responsive whenever we had a question or need. She's a wonderful host. We're off now but the ranch and cottage will always have a place in our hearts.

This cottage was absolutely perfect! It has all the amenities of home - seriously, fully stocked everything. The cabin is roomy and secluded with beautiful grounds and a comfortable (adjustable!) bed. The owner was very communicative and it was easy and convenient to get to Zion. Don’t skip doing a drive through the Kolob area of Zion. It’s only 2 miles down the road and beautiful to drive through. The cabin is spotless, in no small part because the owner is very particular on that front. If that’s a problem for you, stay elsewhere, but if you leave a place as you found it - you will love what you get in this rental.

What a beautiful home, property and the very best hosts. Vickie and Hank were so welcoming. The ranch was a perfect place for us to stay for all of our adventures. The home is very well appointed, the bed is super comfortable and we felt at home immediately. We look forward to returning!

Wonderful place and people

Vickie and Hank are the best from when we showed up until we left. Vickie walked us through the cottage when we arrived, and even helped with our luggage. The place is very private and a joy to return to after the craziness of Zion. I already miss Hank and his early morning runs. We need to say thanks one last time to Vickie and Hank.

Seclusion paradise. It was all you could want between the property, the house and the views. The house was immaculate, Ms. Vickie thought of everything. We took advantage of the hot tub, pool and patio. We hopefully will come again.

The perfect stay!

Pictures didn't do it justice, this property was the coziest, homiest, cottage, and it made our trip to Zion absolutely perfect. The furnishings, incredibly well-stocked kitchen, the views, the patio... We would've loved being there without even going to Zion. But coming "home" to the cottage after a long day of hiking and riding the shuttle was a much-needed respite. We truly felt at home and loved our stay. If we come back to Zion, we'll definitely stay here again! Thank you so much, Vickie!

Amazing stay in beautiful Zion country

Our hosts Vickie and Hank were absolutely wonderful! The cottage was so meticulously decorated and the pictures surely do not do it justice!! There were so many thoughtful touches in the cottage from condiments and staples to Enhance the groceries we brought to the thoughtful little “birthday cake bites” so elegantly displayed for my birthday! Their ranch is spectacular and I absolutely loved their big Pyrenees/Bernard dog Wickie! We had a splendid, restful and peaceful time and so close to everything we wanted to visit without the hassle of crowds! Would absolutely come back!!

Lovely cottage in amazing location at Zion National Park

The cottage is charming, sparkling clean, with large windows looking out at nature. It has every amenity (including a new kitchen, great fireplace, washer-dryer, nice linens and much more). It is on a beautiful ranch in a valley on the West side of Zion, with direct access to rewarding hiking. Vicki, who owns the ranch, is kind and caring, and gave us great day-hike information. The photos do not do justice to this gem of a retreat. Far beyond our expectations. We can't recommend it more highly.

Wonderful property to withdraw and relax

We stayed at Vickie's ranch for three nights towards the end of a two week vacation travelling in California, Arizona and Utah. We had intended to spend 2 days in Zion NP but actually decided just to spend the second day at the ranch. It was so peaceful and beautiful in this little valley that we didn't see a need to join the crowds at Zion - which is about a 20 minute drive away. The pool/games/bbq area was wonderful, although it was quite a walk from the cottage - so with food we decided to drive that bit. Vickie pointed our some really nice little hikes in the local vicinity and we really enjoyed a couple of these in the tranquillity of this hidden valley. We certainly hope to return one day. Thank you Vickie and Hank.

Amazing rare gem

Super close to Zion, and super private and safe canyon ranch. Wow. We found this place while looking for our honeymoon vacation and it did not disappoint! Not only are the facilities top notch, but the location is around SO MUCH. What an amazing area to explore! Vickie helped us get situated real quickly, and it was very clear this is a host that knows her stuff, place, and the area. Were were joyous for who she is! We are quite self-sufficient so we really didn't require much, and it is clear that Vickie is very keen to respect guests privacy Take advantage of this place and schedule many tours! Vickie gives a great list to explore!!! Thank you!

A Charming Cottage in Beautiful South Utah

My wife and I highly recommend this stay. The cottage was all that we could ask for and then some. It was exceptionally charming, comfortable, convenient, and very clean. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and provided very detailed instructions about the services in the cabin, attractions and resources in the surrounding area, and even offered to lend us cookware to help with a dish that I wanted to prepare (although this was ultimately unnecessary, as the cottage kitchen was well appointed). Oh, and the hot tub beneath the cliffs at sunset is pure magic. One of the best things about the place. The surrounding area was unimaginably beautiful. The ranch is literally minutes away from Zion National Park, with several great hikes available from Kolob Terrace Rd. The official park entrance is also about half an hour away, and the drive there is absolutely gorgeous. Just make sure not to track the mud from all those trails into the cottage at the end of the day. It’s a no-shoes premises, but with good reason!

This was the second stay here for my husband and me. We chose this place again due to our wonderful experience the first time. This second visit did not disappoint! Our hosts were again helpful and made us feel very welcome. The cottage is lovely and has everything one could possibly need on a vacation. One of favorite things about this cottage is the location. The surrounding natural beauty is spectacular, comparable to Zion National Park. The location is also perfect for visiting Zion and Kolob Canyon parks.

First Vickie, the host, was awesome. She was ontop of everything, from our first contact to making sure we were all settled in and knew all about the property. The cottage was as enchanting as the pictures and just as pristine. We give this place a 5 star plus rating and will most definitely be coming back.

An Absolute Dream Honeymoon

This property sits inside of a canyon about 20 mins from the main national park entrance. It contains everything you could want for a quiet and adventurous get away trip. We went for our honeymoon and wish we could have stayed longer. Our hosts Vicki and Hank were friendly, great communicators, and went above and beyond to make the stay great! Would highly recommend this spot to anyone!

Thoughtful Host and Beautiful Setting

We had a wonderful anniversary getaway at Mrs. Vickie’s cottage retreat. The location was perfect for what we were desiring - a short drive to Zion National Park and only a couple of hours away from Bryce Canyon. The homesite itself is a beautiful valley nestled between amazing rock formations. They have horse pastures, a lake, pickleball court, and other homes within the gated property. The host’s hospitality was fantastic, including freshly baked cookies and hot chocolate prepared for us by the fireplace that was all set up and ready to go. The cottage is stocked with many thoughtful amenities, and a grocery store is nearby. The hot tub after a day of hiking was a treat, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had a great time and completely recommend this listing!

Heaven on earth.

Totally Zen experience at the ranch. Quite solitude with only the burbling creek as backdrop. Towering canyon cliffs surrounding white fenced pastures, horse barns and this charming little cottage. At sunset, the far canyon wall glows in red and orange. This is a very special place. Hank and Vickie are extremely professional and friendly hosts.
