Beauty on the Beach is a palace nestled in a cliff overlooking the Pacific. You’ll walk into this home greeted by lots of ocean light and a view to the sea. The perfect location for those who want to spend hours whale watching or enjoy the sunset with the one you love held close! With its vaulted ceiling, inset lighting, large windows, and cream, blue and grey color scheme, this beautiful oceanfront home is open and bright.

The great room’s leather couches surround an inset gas fire plus a large flat-screen TV, equipped with Netflix, Hulu and HBO Go. A gorgeous dining table for 10 looks out to the ocean, with a sliding door that takes you to a second-floor deck with smashing views of the surf and ocean, and Adirondack chairs for watching the sunset. Below is an extensive patio, with a hot tub tucked under the deck for privacy, and a rattan sofa and chairs for lounging. An exquisitely equipped kitchen will thrill the discerning cook: with its professional 5 burner gas range, stainless appliances, Keurig, creamy Quartz countertops and friendly breakfast bar, the sky-lit kitchen is a wonderful place to whip up a feast.

Guests will love the five inviting, sumptuous bedrooms with room-darkening curtains, with two on the main level and three downstairs. Two king master suites feature beautiful walk-in showers and both open to decks on the patio or upper level. A media room with a slider to the patio gives guests a secondary entertainment area.

Our family had a great stay. The house was clean and had enough room to accommodate our family. The views from the deck were absolutely stunning and the direct beach access was a plus. The stair downs to the beach were a bit steep in a few places but not horrible. We would definitely stay here again!

Family Time

This house is beautiful with amazing views. We happened to be there on a very stormy weekend and it was great to be able to just sit inside the big windows and watch the ocean. We would definitely stay in the house again.

Water Leak/Dirty

We showed up at this house and there was a notice of hazardous /unsatisfactory conditions notice from NW Natural on the door from weeks prior. Then two days into our stay we noticed that there was water dripping from the ceiling downstairs. We realized that the kitchen sink was right above the room and it had been linking from a pipe under the sink for the two days we had been staying at the house. We also noticed that they had extreme mold under the sink. Someone came over to fix the leak 4 hours later but did nothing to the ceiling downstairs (so not sure if it ever go taken care of) The house is just very dirty the stuff on the cupboards, floor, and mirrors.

Beautiful

Beautiful house in a perfect location! Very well equipped kitchen. The only thing I would warn about is the bathroom situation. There is no half bath on the main level, so guests have to go downstairs to use the restroom. Just a heads up, if you're traveling with anyone who might have trouble with stairs. That will also be an issue getting down to the beach. Overall absolutely gorgeous!

Fantastic location and view

We loved the views, location and easy beach access. The home is lovely and well furnished. The gourmet kitchen was a disappointment. The cookware needs to be replaced and the cabinets and drawers need to be cleaned and organized. It was a challenge to cook in a kitchen that was in extreme disarray. There was no dish soap and every hand soap dispenser throughout the house was empty. They did bring three tiny dish soap bottles and a few bars of hand soap but not until the day after we checked in. There were five adults and 4 children under 3, so no going out to eat, the kitchen was important for us.

Everything was sticky and/or visibly dirty. We spent the first 40 minutes here wiping down surfaces. The bedspread smelled like ass. They didn’t send an entry code so I had to call. My confirmation email said check out was 11. Housekeeping started knocking at 10, then the management company called and got threatening. Will never rent from Meredith rentals again!

Beautiful View, but needs some TLC

The house is in a great area with a million dollar view! When we arrived the smoke detector was beeping and fireplace not working. Maintenance was quick to respond and fix those things. However, we later discovered the downstairs bathroom sink doesn't drain and emits an awful order. The downstairs bedroom window won't open. There was sand in the hot tub. In the primary upstairs bedroom the curtain grommets were rusted and it made closing them more difficult and they looked bad. All the white cabinets were dirty and scratched and need a coat of paint. The furniture was nice and beds comfortable, but overall the view is the best part of this rental. For the price I would expect it to be in better condition. I gave it 4 stars, but it is probably a 3.5.

Not as nice as the pictures show

I am pretty disappointed in my stay. I paid a lot of money for this property for a lot of things to not work. The main feature being the hot tub. Only one jet worked and when maintenance came out they said they knew that and it needed a new pump. That was not advertised and had it been I wouldn’t have booked this property as this was a big deal for us. The ice maker was not working we were able to unjam it and get it working but something we should not of had to do. Almost all the outlets are loose and we had to set stuff up to hold chargers, appliances, you name it, in place so things would charge or work. Other wise they just fell out. When coming back from the beach the spigot by the gate did not work so we couldn’t get the sand off of our feet easily. The rack in the dishwasher doesn’t have an end stop so when you pull it out it comes all the way out. We had to fix that every time we used it. The towel bar in the main bathroom downstairs was hanging out of the wall. Couldn’t use it or it would fall out. All the hand soap was watered down and had hardly in it. We ran out in the upstairs bathroom. Pretty disappointing.

I would love to like this place BUT….

First, it is hard not to love the Oregon coast when the weather was as good as we had it, BUT… I was so disappointed in this property. I book with VRBO or an affiliate at least once a year and I usually book at places in this price range so I have several properties in the last 4 years from which to compare— we booked for 5 nights and the property description said it slept up to 10 people. First and foremost, while I understood there were only 3 bathrooms (yes one would think a minimum for a 5 bedroom home in this range of costs), there was NO mention that one of the bedrooms on the main floor had absolutely no access on the main floor to a bathroom. The only bathroom on the main floor was attached to a master that made it impossible to use other than when the occupants were not in their room. There was not even a half bath on the main floor??? Further the only other bathroom for access by guests without going into someone’s bedroom was down a flight of stairs and used by 2 other 2-bedroom occupants (6 people for 1 bathroom that had a small single sink). Moreover, my mother who is 93 could not go down the stairs and we needed the master bedroom on the main floor for a 2 people on that main floor! The following is my added list of issues with this property. I will note that if I had paid half the price I would have expected some of these failings or lack of amenities, but again not at the price I paid. I have never stayed in a property that was so minimal and lacking for this price point. My list: 2 broken chairs in main area, no garbage disposal, broken dishwasher— paper products were promised but didn’t show up until Tuesday (we arrived on Saturday), minimal kitchen linens (1 hot pad for the entire kitchen and 1 sponge), not enough bath linens and linens were so warn they look dingy and provided very little absorption (1 towel was folded as an extra in upper bathroom but when used it was NOT clean), a lovely deck but no BBQ! I don’t generally plan to use kitchen products in the home but periodically you need to use some—Most of the spices or general products in this home were expired. Finally while 4 cars were allowed to use the parking the property’s drive is extremely curved and very short. Even 2 cars were almost impossible to fit and be able to move in and out without a lot of maneuvering—normally nothing I would complain about but the cumulative issues in relation to the price of this property makes this just an added disappointment.

Great Vacation Spot and Location

Amazing place!

Our stay was magnificent! This house was so clean and had everything we needed. There were 8 of us adults and the view was BREATHTAKING!!! Loved sitting in the living area and see the waves out the window. The view was marvelous. The stairs to the beach are right out the back so easy to accesss as! We took many walks up and down the beach. Hot tub was great and again I’ll mention it was immaculate and felt so clean. I also have to comment on the kitchen appliances. All fabulous and way above the basics! The beds were comfy and even the bedding was great! Well above a hotel bed or bedding. We enjoyed every second of our stay and will come back!!!
