About this property
Big views over Anglesea from the balcony - pet friendly
Our place is a classic 1960s beach house - with glass windows providing for a light living space and fabulous sea views back to Point Addis. The house is on top of the hill, being a nice walk downhill to the main beach (approx. 900m) and Anglesea Surf Club (patrolled in summer). We highly recommend 'cocktail hour' on the deck. At times we have kangaroos and even and echidna wandering through the back yard.
We have 2.5 levels: - the ground level has 2 bedrooms: 1 queen bedroom; and 1 bunk room with 2 sets of bunks (4 single beds)
- the middle level has a bathroom (with separate bath and shower), a toilet, European laundry with front loading washing machine, sink and dryer, - there is a spacious master bedroom with a king size bed and ensuite, along with a small desk space that overlooks the garden
- the top level has two living spaces which both open onto a large balcony with great views over the ocean. - the main area is an open plan living room, dining area and kitchen. - there is also a separate living space which we use as a kids playroom/ TV room.
Office & work space - we have added a small desk in the 2nd living space and a desk with docking station, monitor and printer in the main bedroom area. It overlooks the garden where the kangaroos often wander by. We have found this to be useful in case someone needs to do work or attend a Zoom meeting.
The balcony has a large outdoor setting and sun umbrella, along with BBQ cooking facilities. There is also a hot outdoor shower out the back for after the beach.
The house is on a large block covered with native vegetation. There are 3 or 4 carspots under or near the house. There is a steep driveway and steps so the property may not suit people with mobility issues.
Additional items: Linen (ie. sheets, pillowcases and towels) are all available upon request. Donas with covers are left at the property. In the past we have catered for smaller children. The top stairs have a series of wooden barriers and there is a security gate that can be attached to assist managing small children.

Great communication from the host from the moment we booked our stay. The house is in a beautiful spot with amazing views over Anglesea. The house is spacious, homey and inviting and has everything that you need. Perfect for bringing children and a dog.
Big views over the balcony defiantly lives up to its name! The view from the balcony is amazing with views to the to the ocean, river and township of Anglesea. Lovely big beach house and a great size master bedroom with ensuite. We had a lovely stay at this house and were very pleased to be able to take our dog too. Simon was very good to communicate and provided some great recommendations for eateries. Highly recommend this house for the price.
Fabulous property with everything you need for a great stay. Situated in the hills of Anglesea which makes for great view from the house, but unless you are fit you will need a car to get to restaurants etc. Nice pub at the end of the street. Five nights was a very easy stay with thanks to our host Simon.
This property was comfortable and warm with plenty of heating options. It is not a glamourous place but well suited to families and pet owners. Everything we needed was provided.
Very comfortable little 'beach house'. Owners very nice and friendly to deal with. Fantastic outdoor beanbag lounge chairs and good comfortable beds. We were in Anglesea for an event and this was very adequate for what we needed for a quick quiet weekend
We loved our stay in Anglesea. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was delightful to have coffee on the deck each morning in the sun, looking at the views and listening to the birds. Simon, the host is extremely helpful and responsive.
It was also so great to be able to bring our cat with us, she loved her holiday too! Hope to return again one day soon.
Fabulous house with lots of room. Lovely bathrooms and especially beautiful towels! Great living area and view from balcony. Excellent communication with owner. It was all so easy. Loved it. Perfect for our puppy holiday!
Had a lovely few days stay here in January with the family. It very much reminds me of my family's old holiday house from my childhood. It's not the Hilton, but that's not what we wanted (nor the price that would go with it). It has everything you need. Comfortable and with a second TV room, the adults could get some separation from the kids! Great to have meals on the deck, with plenty of wildlife visitors.
We booked the property because it was very close to our own home, and we needed somewhere for our extra family to stay, but still be close by.The house was good, having plenty of bedrooms, and beds available, as well as a large deck with lovely views to the water. The living room, kitchen and bathrooms were finctional, and there was internet, televisions, and off street parking.Contact with our host was easy and a very pleasant experience, andcheck in was a smooth process and uncomplicated process. All in all, a very nice stay. Thank you.
We loved our stay at "Big views over Anglesea". The house was a home away from home, providing all the creature comforts a family would need to live and cook. The balcony views were amazing. One evening we enjoyed a chilled wine while the full moon rose in the night's sky! The place was very spacious. Big and clean bathrooms and bedrooms. Our kids had their own lounge/tv room too! And our little dog was also welcome! The hose was very accommodating and communicative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again. :)

Easter weekend
A nice location and house however not overly suitable for young children. House wasn’t very clean and old clothes left in the bed.
Not very good value for money.
