Set on 3 acres this jewel in the jungle boasts quality amenities.
Casa Pura Vida! is a Very cozy retreat for couples or a family of 4. Two bedroom, two bath home with high end stainless steel appliances even wine fridge. A cozy great room with Island kitchen that opens onto a beautiful covered patio and plunge pool. Large glass doors span to reveal an open concept with sweeping views of the jungle and on a clear day the pacific ocean. If your interest is relaxation, nature, photography, flora and fauna, this is a perfect location for wildlife experience, monkeys, toucans, birds etc. With it’s own private plantation of exotic fruit trees that are in process of grow and maturation this is Shangri-La.
There is connection to WiFi.
Take time for peace and tranquility and to reconnect with life.
A short drive down to the village you have access to several world class dining options. The main coastal highway at the bottom of the hill is on the ocean road allows access to beaches close by.
One would need four wheel drive as the roads are unpaved and have to cross river beds to access.
Please no young children for safety hazard.
We do have two security cameras on site for security reasons only.

Loved the pool and birds!

We stayed at the Casa a week and hated to leave. The pool was private and was the perfect place to have a beverage and watch birds all day long. Meal prep was easy with a well equipped kitchen and gas grill. We could hear Howler monkeys, but never saw them. Nice place.

Great, peaceful and relaxing vacation house

This is my second stay in the house with my family (4 people). The house is very nice, clean and comfortable. The layout and open concept is great and the pool has a very good size. If you plan to cook, the kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you may need to prepare any meal. I would not say that a 4x4 is a must, but it will provide peace of mind when it is rainy. In general the roads that are not paved are well maintained. The house is about 15-20 from the main highway (Costanera), but we like the fact that it is in the mountain, and you see all types of birds, monkeys, etc, right from the back yard/pool, and is very peaceful and private (the next neighbor is probably about 1 km away). The South pacific of Costa Rica does not become as crowded as Guanacaste, and there are beautiful beaches nearby. Within 20-30 mins you can get to about 5-6 beaches (Tortuga, Ballena, Uvita, Dominical, to name a few). The owner and property managers are very responsive and will make sure that you are comfortable and all set up to enjoy your vacation. This is definitively a great place, and you will get a lot for the price, compared with other rentals in the area.

Amazing jungle view

You definitely need a 4 x 4 vehicle to get to the property. The property was everything and more than we hoped for. It is in the mountains and you are surrounded by jungle which comes alive very early am. We saw toucans every day, parrots and lots of other birds. We heard the howler monkeys, but never saw them. The home had high end appliances from small to large.It had everything you need. The bed was very comfortable. The pool was amazing. If any issues, the property managers, Jon, Sonya, Karen and Mike are right there. If I had to change one thing, (Very small) it would be a better shower head. Would go back, but someone already booked it..for next Jan and Feb. Loved it there. Ojochal is the culanary capital of Costa Rica.

The property is well designed for 2 couple or a family, beautiful covered patio and pool nice family area, gorgeous view of sky, jungle, small ocean view, uncountable stars, lots of talkative wildlife! Ideal for private relaxation or family time! Hated to leave after 2 weeks— decompressed!

A Real Adventure!!!

The property is fabulous and beautifully maintained and it’s remote location and privacy were just the ticket. They aren’t joking when they say you need a 4x4! Every day new birds and wildlife would visit from toucans, hummingbirds, iguanas and pizotes in the day to cane toads, frogs, bats, spiders and snakes at night. Over the duration of our 6 month stay we had storms (no power), hurricane Nate ( no road) and an earthquake - fantastic!!! To summarise - we absolutely love the place and the local people!!!

We love to travel and explore different cultures. Currently lives in Las Vegas with my wife but visits Costa Rica frequently as a place to relax and unwind from the corporate world.

Casa Pura Vida is a place to allow one to relax and get in touch with nature. It's surrounded by wildlife, sounds of nature peace and tranquility. My wife loves to do yoga on the covered patio pool deck while listening to the sounds of birds and howler monkeys.

What makes this property unique

Tranquil seclusion.
No neighbors. Only jungle surrounds you 360º.
Yet you have the option to drive down to very nice modern restaurants set in the Jungle. There is a variety of nearby activities within short driving distance including beaches, surfing, fishing and live music entertainment.
