Barramunga Rainforest Retreat es una casa de 3 habitaciones rodeada de lo mejor de los Otways.

Paz, tranquilidad con una sensación de aislamiento te espera en Barramunga Rainforest Retreat.

Ubicado en el corazón del magnífico Parque Nacional Great Otway, este refugio de selva tropical ubicado en 25 acres de magnífico bosque aislado le ofrece la escapada perfecta con mucho o poco que hacer.

Con capacidad para 6 personas, esta casa de retiro totalmente independiente está a una hora y 10 minutos de Geelong, a 30 minutos de las populares playas y restaurantes de Apollo Bay de Great Ocean Roads y a 10 minutos de los senderos de bicicleta de montaña más grandes de Australia en Forrest.

Amplios senderos para caminar, cascadas, hondonadas, altas montañas Ash Trees, el hermoso lago Elizabeth, Stevenson Falls y los elegantes restaurantes en Forrest están en o cerca de esta propiedad.

NB: nuestra propiedad tiene una entrada bastante empinada para que los huéspedes con tracción en las cuatro ruedas o tracción total o tracción trasera tengan un acceso muy fácil tanto dentro como fuera de la propiedad. Los huéspedes con vehículos con tracción delantera solamente, pueden estacionar en la cima de la colina y caminar por la sección empinada hasta la casa.

Se accede fácilmente a través de Forrest (ruta interior) o si viene de 12 Apóstoles a través de Apollo Bay (Ruta costera).

An amazing property in a gorgeous bush setting. We loved the beautiful bush walks around the property and seeing the kangaroos come visit morning and evening. There is something for everyone with the games room (table tennis was a huge hit!), board games, fire, deck etc and super comfy beds. The hosts have thought of everything including gumboots in all sizes!Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Amazing property immersed deep in the forest which provides incredible views and opportunities to connect and see nature. Place is lovely, there is wildlife around and the hosts were accommodating by providing essentials and help to build indoor & outdoor fires.Only negative is that the driveway to enter & exit the property is steep and dangerous, so either you need a 4WD or need to park at the top of the property. Guests must note this, particularly for anyone planning to stay in Winter.

Perfect private rural retreat

Exceeded expectations and just loved everything about it. House is cosy and inviting with plenty of space inside and out. Beds were very comfy and loved how isolated it is! Beautiful nature all around us was such a treat and this place would be enjoyed by families or couples. Would go back for sure!

This place has it all

Such an amazing place to stay. Very private and surrounded by the beautiful bush, with bush walks right from your door. The house was spotless clean, modern, and had everything you could need, along with the beautiful views from all windows. The games room with table tennis was alot of fun and the fireplace was nice and cozy on the cold nights. The beds were huge and comfortable and I would definitely recommend this accommodation. Great communication with Gary who was always quick to respond and very helpful. Thanks for a great place to stay.

A comfortable hideaway

A place got what we needed. Good warming system as our nights were cold. A quiet place with animals around. The down side were no internet access, we were not able to search info for our next stop. The drive way got us sweat a bit . In order not to take anymore risk, we carried all our stuff to the top of driveway when checked out. A puffing exercise for us.

We do state in the property description that we have no internet, which is usually appreciated by guests and the ideal vehicles are 4wd and Awd due to the driveway and are sorry that this caused you concerns. Peace and bliss

3rd time staying and every time it just gets better. We were welcomed with a nice bottle of red, and a stocked fireplace. The walks on the property are awesome, the house has everything you need, and the natural beauty around is something to be experienced. Absolutely Beautiful

Thanks Gary for letting us stay. All of us absolutely enjoyed the property and it’s location. I spent most of the time working out when I could next return. It’s a great location to get to the Forrest MTB trails, but the property itself is perfectly set up to stay in and chill by the fire. Amazing place, and thanks again

A peaceful hideaway

This property is in the most beautiful location, with Otway forrest and Kangaroos literally on your doorstep. Gary and Carolyn have put thoughtful touches everywhere, so it really feels like a home away from home. We had the perfect weekend by the fire, reading books, with a view of the forrest. Highly recommend.

We loved this place! My son said it’s the best holiday he’s ever had. The house was just perfect, had everything we need and an awesome location. We love remote cottages surrounded by forest. We did all the walking trails surrounding the house, boys loved it. Didn’t need to leave the house to drive anywhere. We didn’t mind the steep hill we had to walk down. It’s worth it to make sure we are really away from car noises. Gary was so respondent to all our emails and changes, big star for him!

Fabulous getaway

Loved every minute of our stay here. It really was "Barradise'. Perfect location for exploring the Otways and surrounding area. The lack of phone reception and wifi was a really plus as it allowed us to completely switch off and make the most of our stay. Beds we're amazingly comfortable (we slept so well) and the whole place was very clean and well appointed. Also loved the wildlife particularly the kangaroos and birds and the walks on the property grounds. We'll definitely stay again if there's another opportunity in the future.

Seclusion and tranquility

A well presented and fully equipped home in a beautiful, secluded part of the Otways. We enjoyed the forest walks round the property and the games room kept the kids occupied for hours. We even saw deer and wallabies a couple of times coming out to feed around dusk. A wonderful location and home to stay in...

Perfect getaway

This was a last minute booking and the owner had been very accommodating. Our boys loved staying at this holiday house, not only for the ping pong table and sport channels on Foxtel, but also because of the stunning location, bush-land setting and nearby bike trails. Serene country escape minutes from Forrest

We (4 adults 2 kids 4 & 7) stayed here for a long weekend of trail running and MTB riding and loved it. The house was warm even though it was freezing outside with heaters in bedrooms and a wood fire for the living spaces. The linen was also top quality and the place felt very clean. The games room was great for all involved and we played table tennis into the night. And the complementary coffee pods were appreciated by the coffee fiends. Forrest, a mecca for trail anything, was minutes away but when you're on the property you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere without another human to be seen. Gary was a fantastic host before, during and after our stay. The driveway is slippery in the mornings, but my 2WD wagon got up it ok, though I'll bring an AWD next time so I don't dig up their drive. We'll be back for sure, thanks Gary.

Peaceful & secluded

Great base for exploring the Otways and surrounds. Very private, surrounded by beautiful forest. Owner a pleasure to deal with. Definitely recommended.

Beautiful and peaceful surrounds.

Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful home in the Otways. The location was outstanding and everything in the house was extremely well maintained and very clean. Wonderfully comfortable beds. The whole family particularly enjoyed the effective wood burner, the table tennis (also in excellent condition) and the walks on the property. Great place in a great area. Only challenge was the steep driveway as our car slid on the coarse gravel when it went up, even on dry days.

We are glad you enjoyed the family friendly facilities provided and the location being close to Forrest and the Great Ocean Road/Apollo Bay. We apologise for the steep drive way and have altered our property description to suggest it is most suited to 4wd or Awd or rear wheel drive vehicles if you go right down to the house. We are working on a permanent solution of sealing the drive way. We appreciate your stay with us.

"Barradise" is set back in the rainforest so you hardly hear any road noise, just the sound of birds, kookaburras, king parrots, rosellas, cookatoos, magpies etc.
The lounge area has a wood fire on those cold wet wintery days with floor to ceiling windows to sit & read a good book or watch the TV.
Table Tennis room offers hours of family fun too.
With on-site walking trails you will think you are miles from anywhere!!
