If you’re looking for a private and peaceful getaway, nestled among the rolling hills, an escape from the city, Welcome to Johanna Meadows where guests can relax and enjoy the country life.

Overlooking the rolling hills and meadows of Johanna and the natural forest on the property is this 2 bedroom cottage. A modern well appointed home that sleeps up to 4.
Bedroom 1 has a Queen size Bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 long singles.
You can hear the sounds of the ocean just a short 3.5km away at Johanna Beach. Stroll along the sandy shores and watch the stunning sunset over the water. If fishing is your thing you might just like to drop in a line and catch a fish or 2. For those who like a slower pace you can laze away on the day bed as the morning sun fills the whole house with its golden rays.Relax in the living area whilst watching TV/DVD or simply take in the peaceful outlook of the meadows and rolling hills. This 12 acre property has its own forest filled with fern gullies. Take a short stroll along the tracks through the majestic tall timbers. At the end of the day relax and enjoy a BBQ with a glass of your favourite drink. Or just cuddle up next to the warmth of the wood fire in cooler months.

The property is situated just 1 klm off the famous Great Ocean Road. It is ideally located, giving you easy access to many Otway attractions, The Otway Fly, Maits Rest,Melba Gully, Otway Light House, Castle Cove, Triplet falls, just to name a few. The Great Ocean Walk meanders along Johanna Beach, the 12 Apostles are a short 45min drive away and the coastal town of Apollo Bay is a 30min drive.

Bush or beach, relax or explore its up to you. Do as much or as little as you like.

A quiet, well located and really well appointed cottage in delightful and very well maintained surroundings. Our overseas friends were entranced by the birdlife, wallabies, kangaroos and even a deer. We could not see the koala making noises near the parking space but that's probably for the best. The freshly baked sourdough loaf left for us on arrival is indication of the welcome we received...

Johanna Meadows is my favourite place to stay. Anna and Branko are wonderful hosts who think of everything to make your time here as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. I love how clean the cottage always is. The comfortable beds and sofas. All the lovely homely touches. Just the best kitchen with all you could need. Beautiful views and your own forest on the property. Lovely garden. All kinds of birds. Wildlife. You need to bring your own supplies or travel to Apollo Bay. The Southern Ocean and the Great Ocean Walk are close by. Believe me, you won’t want to leave this beautiful and peaceful place.

Paradise close to home

We had a wonderful time staying at this gorgeous cottage that immediately felt like home. Beautifully styled home that is filled with lots of care and everything you would need for a comfortable stay.Anna and Branko made us feel at home, they treated us with a special gesture and checked in to ensure our stay is good. Great Ocean Road Hidaway

Arrived at the beautiful property to be greeted by a lovely decorated and very well equipped home with goodies from the garden as well as everything you could need for a couple of days away. Anna was very easy to communicate with and made us very welcome. I can only recommend this place, all you need to do is rock up, everything else is there.

A little wonderland for a peaceful stay

Excellent and timely communication from hosts, Anna & Branko. The property and presentation itself exceeded my expectations. A lot of thought and detail has clearly gone into everything to allow guests to feel like every base of comfort has been covered. Johanna is one of my favourite places to visit and our hosts help you fall in love with the place all over again.

Marvelous Stay

Marvelous stay !!! A lovely comfortable place with amazing views /location , beautiful place to relax with family. Cottage was very clean and beautifully arranged with lot of thoughtful touches. Our kids loved it, the first thing I heard as soon as they stepped into the cottage was ""WOWW.." We absolutely loved the stay and will go again.

Great place for a getaway

Beautifully presented cozy cottage that has everything you need. Our family had a great time, lovely views, close to the beach and the kids loved the fireplace, games and pencils for the wet days. Owners were very prompt and detailed with communication. Definitely recommend!

Just what we needed

A brilliant place to escape from the troubles of the world (again). Nothing better than waking up to the song of the shrike thrush. Oh, and the house was perfectly presented - clean and with everything we needed.

Walks & Waterfalls

We absolutely loved Johanna Meadows Cottage. It was so well equipped and in a beautiful location. Communication from the hosts was excellent too. It was a great base for us to enjoy the local walks and waterfalls. We will definitely be back :)

Wonderful Escape

This was an extremely well presented, beautifully decorated and clean property in an in a wonderfully peaceful environment. The owners Anna and Branko were very gracious, helpful and considerate hosts. The organic strawberries were a marvelous treat.

Fantastic house and view

We really enjoyed our stay at Johanna Meadows. The house was comfortable, warm and well equiped. The view from the house was wonderful, lovely to have a cup of tea an just sit outside with the view. We also found it was close to everything we wanted to see and do such as the Otway Fly, waterfalls and the beach.

Our cottage is in a beautiful rural area off the Great Ocean Road.
We traveled here in our youth and have lovely memories of fishing here with our parents and extended family.
It is a great base to explore the many attractions in the area and come home to a peaceful relaxing home with lovely views to enjoy which make you feel like you are nestled in your own little slice of peace and tranquility

Our property is nestled among the rolling hills of the Johanna countryside and the views from all windows make us feel so peaceful and relaxed. We love the fact it is close to Johanna beach for fishing and relaxing as well as a great base to explore the Great Ocean Road attractions such as 12 Apostles, Otway fly, Maits rest, Melba Gully, Triplet falls, Hopetoun falls, Apollo Bay, Otway Lighthouse, Castle cove, Timboon Distillery, Timboon cheese, Timboon Icecream and many more.
