Thank you for leaving a review, even though it was a rather puzzling one. As hosts we do advise we contactable throughout our guests stay should there be any concerns or assistance required. As you did not contact us on arrival to voice any concerns I can only give you a general response. The house is 8 years old but has been well maintained, thanks to a wonderful cleaning contractor who has been looking after the house for many years. This is a custom built house, specifically designed with the 4 bedrooms located at the front of the house. The main bedroom is separated from the remaining 3 for privacy, the bathroom and toilet right next to it. The owner’s locked accommodation is located at the rear of the house, specifically designed so it does not impact the flow of the house advertised as a 4 x 1. The house is cleaned upon departure of all guests by a professional cleaning contractor who is COVID-19 accredited. We the owners do inspections in-between guests on a regular basis as well as additional maintenance. The house was cleaned after the last guests and also a week prior to your arrival. On inspection the 4 bedrooms they were made up with fresh linen by the cleaning contractor as requested. The 3 mats in the house were shampooed and vacuumed a week prior to your arrival. There has never been a cat in the house. The only fluffy item is the couch throw. It is possible that you walked something into the house or the carpet cleaner, reed diffusers or the potpourri air freshener, located on the side table near the mat caused your hay-fever. These products as nice as they are to some can be removed by those who suffer from allergies. Pets, dogs only, are welcome on request but outside because we are mindful that they may cause allergies. The rear of the block is fully fenced with a grassed area. We do ask the size of the dog as the gaps in the gates are slightly wider than a pool fence. The Jumbuck BBQ a recent purchase has a flat steel plate. The black coating on the plate overtime will come off exposing the steel surface, it is safe, a non-toxic event that according to the manufacturer’s instructions is a normal process. The surface was clean a week prior to your arrival so I am perplexed about your comments, the outdoor area had also been washed down. Without photos it makes it difficult to ascertain what you are referring to. The basic tasks on departure include, it would be appreciated if the house is left clean and tidy, bins on the curb, turn off the air-conditioner and solar booster if used at their respective main switches, this was advice given to us by an electrician because of an unfortunate power surge incident, and hence we ask the TV also be turned off at the switch. Turning gas bottles off is for safety purposes. As general information we do advise there are standard appliances, cleaning products and pantry items available if required. Informative purposes only and handy if the need arises. Using a booking sites review process after your stay is not the time or place to make unsubstantiated and unwarranted comments. Contact your host directly on arrival this would enable your Host to gain more information and the opportunity to rectify those concerns if necessary.
