Windward- New Orleans Area Waterfront Home with Pool and Large Boat Dock

Windward is located in Slidell a Suburb of New Orleans. It is located 27 miles from the French Quarter and is an easy drive on I-10. The home is a four bedroom home with two large bedrooms and two smaller bedrooms. The home has three full baths. There is pool located adjacent to the dock and waterfront. The home has been completely renovated in 2019 and everything in it is new. Designer furniture throughout professionally planned and implemented. Beautiful accent pieces and art work. Large living room with big screen TV. New appliances and kitchen accessories. Large deck with multiple sofas and plush chairs. Beautiful Large oak tree overhanging the deck providing a great area for shaded seating. The deck is only 15 feet from the water. There is huge 60 ft. dock with deep water access via boat. Bring your boat and kids and swim, ski, fish and boat in Lake Pontchartrain. The lake is a 3 minute boat ride from the dock. There is a large deck that has seating for eight and extra chairs for overflow. The home is 7 minutes from some of the best fishing in the country. You can even fish right off the dock in the front yard. There is phenomenal fishing in the Rigolets nearby with incredible salt water fishing and access to fresh water fishing within 20 minutes by boat.

You can play in the water or on the boat all day and hit the French Quarter at night for great fun and partying like no where else. You can catch an Uber, Taxi or drive. Great from two couples or a family. There is a sleeper sofa for over flow sleeping in the living room. The home has a nicely stock kitchen with all new appliances. There is a double oven and large stove. The home has a large working fire place and large dinning room with a table that expands to seat 8. Great for family get together and large meals.

The home has 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, two bunk beds, 1 queen sleeper sofa. Sleeps 8 adults and 4 children.

WE DO NOT ALLOW PARTIES OR EVENTS AT THIS PROPERTY. THIS PROPERTY IS FOR FAMILY RESIDENTIAL USE ONLY.

No pets are allowed.
We will allow one certified service dog with appropriate certification papers but only with the payment of a $250 non refundable carpet cleaning fee. Multiple service animals are not allowed.

Fantastic Home - easy Drive to NOLA

Chosen for close proximity to New Orleans, but the Slidell Area turned out to be fantastic too! Do not overlook the restaurants here.

Fabulous stay!

My boyfriend and I wanted a place close to New Orleans and I also wanted a place on the water with a pool. This house fit the bill for all of that! Every part of our stay was great - the house was nice and clean and very well stocked and would be great for a larger group as well

Fabulous girls weekend

My friends and I had a lovely stay here, great location and close to lots of great food choices and not far from French quarter. Rain didnā€™t let us enjoy the pool, but the back patio was very nice to hang out at.

This is our 3rd summer of staying in the same home. Lisa is very responsive when texted. The neighborhood and accessibility to highways are great! We have a large family and we all enjoyed the variety in spaces including the fishing dock, pool and living quarters. This home is close to lots of great restaurants and local establishments. We stayed for a week, so if you have a large group and are staying longer than a few days, one recommendation would be to bring your own pool towels and expect to buy household items like toilet paper and paper towels. Overall a wonderful stay and memories with our family.

Great place

Only thing we were worried about was there were no safety locks on the doors to keep our grandson from going out back, where the lake and pool were. We made our own. So if you stay, just bring a little portable lock that you can buy on Amazon. The pool was alittle cloudy. Otherwise the house was awesome, loved the neighborhood.

Outdoor space was very relaxing. It has easy access with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the first floor for people with limited mobility. We would have enjoyed having chairs in the bedrooms. There was an amble supply of towels. My impression is that whoever owns or manages this property, has never stayed here or monitored the housekeeping.

Great space and location

Spent school vacation week at Windward with family, including 2 grandchildren. Plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 children, with a pool for additional fun. Lovely setting on the canal with good proximity to New Orleans, grocery sores and Swamp Tour.

Nice Getaway

The area is lovely with all the channels, very walkable neighborhood. The home fit our group of 10 perfectly. I would suggest bringing some beach chairs with you to use on the deck as there weren't beach chairs or additional seating to use out by the pool other than the outdoor table and chairs and the 2 loungers. Not far to drive for Sams club, Aldi and local grocery store which was convenient for grabbing food for the week. Its about 30 min drive into NOLA, and 30 minute drive the other way to wondeful beach town so the location was great! Lisa was very quick to respond to any questions or needs. All in all, nice place to stay.

Family time

The property is great for a big family! We enjoyed the serenity of the backyard and pool. Daily fishing and crabbing was always a hit. We would stay at this property again.

Beautiful & quiet setting on the water

Nice & modern home right on the water. After a few days in the city, our ladies trip crossed over to Slidell and this house met all of our needs. Swamp tours are close, easy drive up the gulf to hang out on the beaches, and old towne Slidell super cute!

Beautiful home and in a perfect location close to New Orleans and other touristy things to do. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Family enjoyed the deck and pool the entire vacation. Sn: I did contact the host prior to arrival and she was very responsive and addressed my concerns.

We love your place. It was both beautiful and relaxing. The neighborhood was very nice. We would definitely book again if we came back to the area. No negative comments, but with the 104 weather...an outdoor ceiling fan would be nice.

Overall the stay was wonderful. Laundry was left in front of the washing machine, remote never worked for the main TV even after being serviced, and plugs/main light was not working in the master bedroom which made a c-pap machine difficult. You can download the Vizio remote app on your phone to work the TV if needed. I also recommend bring beach towels as there were 2 in the house. Step to the pool needs to be made more prominent/different color from deck. Had 2 people in our party fall. The actual pool could use a railing to get out easier. House was lovely though. Pool was a wonderful addition to the stay! The view is also gorgeous and some of the best beds I have ever slept on. Kitchen is also well stocked with appliances and pots/pans/dishes. If you prepare with notes from above, you will have an amazing stay! Highly recommend this location. Nice distance from New Orleans also!

Beautiful home

It was our first time visiting Louisiana, honestly the places we wanted to visit were at about 25 minutes distance from the house. However, the home and the back deck, plus the pool gave us a well time spent there. We enjoyed the house and the person in charge was great at communicating. There were a few things missing at the house, like toilet paper and not enough garbage bags but I contacted the person in charge and within an hour she sent someone to bring us what we needed. loved the view from the master bedroom. We had a great time.

Perfect large home!

We loved our stay in this home. Perfect for 3 couples, a 7 year old, two 2 year olds and a baby. The flow throughout the home worked well with plenty of space, bedrooms, and bathrooms for everyone. The kitchen worked well with multiple cooks. The deck and pool were totally enjoyable. (For the toddlers we just put their life jackets on any time they went outside. We used the dock, and fished successfully ten minutes away by boat. Fresh caught fish for dinners. Location was very convenient with easy fast grocery deliveries. Quick in to New Orleans and the airport. And lots of outdoor activities available nearby. The home was perfect for the multi-generational vacation.

Windward is very comfortable and beautifully decorated with all new furnishings and finishes. Right on the water it is peacefully set in a waterfront community just a short drive (25 minutes) from the French Quarter and downtown New Orleans. Very conveniently located for shopping and dining with the family. Windward is also centrally located to allow access to the Mississippi Gulf coast beaches and casino's. You will not find a more comfortable home with water front access, a deep water dock, large deck with comfortable plush seating, a pool, and an amazing view of the bayou and wildlife. Fishing is right off the dock in front of the house. A BBQ pit is available right on the deck. You can have it all with swimming. boating, kayaking, water skiing, tubing, barbecuing within a short drive to New Orleans. The home also has a large fireplace for cozy fires after a long day on the town. Very peaceful and quit at night for a restful night sleep. Great close dining options within a few minutes drive of the house.
