Note that the rates quoted are for the main house, which sleeps 6 with one bath. There is a separate rental cottage in back. If you need an extra bathroom or if you need 4 bedrooms, let me know, and I'll see if the cottage in back is available for you.
Although intended as a short-term rental for travelers with dogs, I am accepting longer-term (30 days plus) rentals, and I'm giving a large discount to encourage them. If you are looking for long-term, please inquire and tell me how long you are interested in staying and I will give you a quote.
This property has a main house with three bedrooms that will sleep 6, and one bathroom. A cottage with another bathroom and kitchen that sleeps 2 is attached by a deck. The rates you will be quoted are for the main house. if you want to sleep more than 6, add that information to your registration and I'll let you know the extra charge.
This is one of five places I have for rent that were all built between 1909 and 1930. They're all pet friendly homes. All five are in the same area, and are very close to downtown.

This main house has a cottage behind it that is also for rent. You can rent both the main house and the back cottage if you like. This will give you two bedrooms up front with a bath, and a bedroom (queen bed) in the cottage in back.
If you don't rent the cottage, it's possible that it will be occupied by another party during your stay. They have their own access and will park on the street.
If the calendar is full at one at one of these houses, you may find an opening at one of the others. Each house has every amenity - I have been quizzing guests over the year about how to outfit the kitchen and bath so that you will have everything you need (washer/dryer, new A/C, bedbug proof mattress cover, comfortable mattresses, dog doors, fenced yard, proximity to nice walks, restaurants and shopping) plus more: a bottle of Texas wine, a few beers, bottled water, emergency pizzas, dog biscuits, a growing dog library. For your protection, all the mattresses are fitted with anti-bedbug, anti-allergin mattress covers. This home was built in 1930 and was fully restored in 2016. It has high-tech amenities (internet, WiFi, Pandora and Netflix), a back deck and barbecue, new appliances, (gas stove, dishwasher, new clothes washer, new frig) and an open airy feel. The morning and evening light in the house is one of my favorite things about this house. It is just minutes from downtown. Interstate 10, the major San Antonio artery, is just blocks away, The airport is 4 miles away. The house is fully insulated with new A/C and heat. All four places are pet-friendly (no fees), and have fully fenced and gated back yards. There is a doggie door in the kitchen, allowing dogs to come in and out of the fenced area. You are close pizza, groceries, Starbucks, and several well-known restaurants, including two that specialize in ribs, one that serves the best hamburgers in San Antonio, and a popular Mexican cafe. The neighborhood is known for the dozen or so antique shops within a short drive.
You're on a dead-end street, with a nice public cement path along a creek for walks. Just up French Place 1/2 mile is the popular park that surrounds Woodlawn Lake. It's an easy walk from the house, around the lake and back (3 miles).
Rates don't change on holidays and rates are not based on how many guests there are.
