This cabin started life as a water wheel powered mill. It has been completely remodeled but it is still just feet away from the creek. The sound of the rushing water is highly relaxing and makes for a tremendous night's sleep.
The master bedroom located on the ground floor has a king-size bed. The second bedroom located on the second floor has a full-size bed and a twin bed. There is also a large loft on the second floor over looking the living room, dining room and kitchen.
This cabin is close to Ellijay and Blue Ridge. The Toccoa and Ocoee Rivers are close. The southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail is just six miles away. Helen Georgia is also only a short drive.
The cabin has unlimited WiFi internet access.
Please, no smoking.
Also note, there is a $50 fee added to one night reservations.

This is an overall great cabin with a master downstairs (king bed) and one other bedroom upstairs that has both a full and a twin. Could sleep 4-5 comfortably. Two flat screen TVs (the video has old school tube TVs, but this is outdated). There is no TV, however, in the main living area. Kitchen is very cute and modern country looking. The cabin's onsite manager, Don, is great. He and his wife are right in the adjacent cabin, but not obtrusive in any way and we did not view this as a negative. The cabin is close to a road as another reviewer mentioned, but it sits back a ways and we did not find the cabin loud. We felt it was of good value, especially the longer you book with the various typical fees such as cleaning. My only real criticism other than that it would be nice to have a TV in the main living area, is that the Wifi network is VERY slow. The cabin is also a bit of a way from downtown Blue Ridge- about 30 minutes- but it is paved the whole way and easy to find. So this would just depend on how close to town you want to be. Overall, we'd love to come back (just hoping internet improved!).
We loved the place but had a lot of trouble locating it on the dark.
Had a wonderful stay. The cabin was exactly as stated. Don, the caretaker, was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed grilling on the back porch and eating outside on the front porch. Would highly recommend to anyone who would love a stay in the Ga mountains!
We wanted to mingle through the southern smokies on our way to see a relative in Georgia, so we didn't want to commit to two-plus nights in this area. Typically, one night stays are not as comfortable as the multi-day stay places in tourist-friendly areas. This place was cozy and had some nice features in that you can fish for trout in a couple of small pools that have stocked trout from upstream. Another great feature was the washer/dryer option, hard to find in a place that only required a one-night stay. Only downsides (and they were very minor) were that the property was close to a small highway, and the setting was more ideal for a small family with kids as opposed to a more secluded, romantic getaway that we would have preferred. Amenities were clean and soft, and the neighbor overseeing the property was nice to have available, should there have been a need to address any problems (which we didn't have). Very friendly and helpful owner and caretakers. Would rate 4.5 or 5 if we had caught this option with more fishing options available (larger creek pools/higher amounts of trout on site), but we didn't stay during the optimal trout season. The owner & neighbor caretaker (Don) did offer some good advice on nearby places to explore for convenient fishing options that were close to the property. If stocked trout were more concentrated in the upstream pool, the overhead light from the cabin would make for a fun way to spend an evening.
This home is beautiful and in the perfect location. We would open the windows in the morning and the sound of the creek was amazing. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. As was said in some of the previous reviews, the keepers home was next door, but they were great and very helpful. The fishing was good at the house but we went to "Deep Hole" also and it was great for fishing. We will definitely be back!
This is a great cabin and it is "right on the creek".Ron and Lynn, the caretakers, are right next door and are great folks, will do anything for you!We like hiking and the Appalachian Trail is less than 10 miles away, plus plenty of other trails and waterfalls nearby.Tubing and rafting are available nearby on the Taccoa River.Blue Ridge is a beautiful, quaint town with lots of shopping and great restaurants, check out the Taccoa Riverside Restaurant, about half way between the cabin and Blue Ridge.Pets are welcome at the cabin so long as they are well behaved. Our Pit Bull loved playing in the creek! The only possible drawbacks, although I loved them, are the fact that it is about 15 miles to Blue Ridge and there is NO CELL PHONE SERVICE!
