Sandpiper Beach House

Sandpiper is across the road from Lagoon Beach. Low Head Penguin Tours and Lighthouse, Maritime Museum, East Beach, and Mt George Mountain Bike trails are only minutes away. The house has 3 large bedrooms, 2 are accessed by a unique spiral staircase. The house is a cosy stay with open fire, sunroom, heat pump and electric blankets on every bed.The kitchen is fully equipped and perfect for self catering. Our home has two and a half bathrooms, a family laundry and plenty of space to spread out. Outside is a private garden with bbq and picnic table and there are bikes and beach toys provided for guests use. The house is fantastic for families or couples wanting a beachside stay.

Great holiday rental

Great place

We stayed while working in the area the house was very clean tidy and had everything we needed great place to stay. It is the 3rd time we've stayed will be back next year

Handy Location in Low Head

We enjoyed staying at Carolyn's place, it is a well equipped and comfortable home. Being able to used their well maintained bikes is what made this place great for us, as we really enjoy cycling.

Cute coastal cottage

A lovely coastal cottage, well equipped and clean. Close proximity to Lagoon Beach, sheltered garden in the back for lovely afternoon barbecues. Private and peaceful, with a variety of birds to listen to and look at.

Comfortable location for a family holiday

This property is very close to beaches and the penguin sanctuary. The penguin tour was a real highlight - inexpensive and allows you to get very close to wild penguins. (Suggestion to take an extra layer than you think you will need.). The beaches also beautiful and good for swimming , although you need to be fine with coolish water. Thanks for a great stay.

Very comfortable home in quiet beach-side location

We enjoyed our weekend at Sandpiper immensely. The house was gorgeous, very comfortable and with nice little touches. The location was peaceful, with the beach across the road. Super easy for exploring Low Head or the facilities of George Town. Would definitely recommend.

The Sandpiper was a great place for me and my family to stay. It was incredibly well set up for families. Communication with the hosts was easy, they were there to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be back again.

Absolutely Fantastic for a family Christmas!

You'll want to stay here. Sandpiper has it all. Space for family and friends, excellent facilities and well equipped, comfort and privacy from the neighbours, 3 bathrooms, a wide range of sports equipment, easy stroll to beach and only 2km walk to the lighthouse. Value for Money. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay

Great position and comfortable accommodation. Excellent wifi and TV access. Check in and access rather confusing. Check in and door code - we never worked out what gives. Initially thought we were not going to get in. Got the key from the lock box & tried the key at the back door, which would have worked if the other key wasn't in the lock! Eventually got in but were never sure if we'd get in the next time. Otherwise all good - Thank you.

Beach getaway with grand kids

Excellent beach holiday home, family friendly easy walking distance to the beach. Great being able to use the games, beach towels, beach equipment. Easy to use kitchen ample supplies (oil, glad wrap, dishing washing equipment and toilet paper.). I had brought my own supplies and didn't need them. Comfy lounge suit. Only negative was that I was cold at night as I can't sleep with the electric blanket on and doona not warm enough. Easy fix will be to bring my own next stay. Kids were happy and said it was the best holiday for a long while

Thanks Margaret for your stay and review. What a shame you found the room cold. There is reverse cycle heating, electric blankets, spare blankets and portable heaters as well as the open fire. Glad that the kids had the 'best holiday in a while' and made use of all of the extras that we provide.

Our Tassie get away.

I liked that there was a bedroom on the ground floor. The bedrooms were all a good size. Nice kitchen with everything there. Lounge was nice with the fire going. The only thing for me being a grandma I found the couches not to my liking as I am short, would of loved a comfy chair. But over all it was a great place to stay. One thing upset me, my grandson broke something and we told the owner and they wanted to charge more than the thing was worth, we were honest about it, did not try and hide it, that upset me. i understand it had to be payed for but no more than what it cost. Thank you for your review and feedback. As discussed, I have had to replace both wall hangings as they were a pair and they are no longer available. As you know, I adjusted the amount and only charged you the exact amount for the single fish. Subsequent to your stay we have also made changes to the wood storage and have added a sign for guests not to cut wood on the garage floor. Regards Carolyn

Quaint, Cosy, coastal retreat

The outside had a French vibe and was very private. Stepping inside you notice how well presented, quiet and surprisingly larger than initially looks. The bikes and kayaks are a wonderful addition as is the second bathroom and extra toilet. A short walk over the road and down the board walk and your feet hit the sand of Lagoon Beach. Thankyou to Carolyn for been so accomodating. We will be back.

it's a lovely property and loads of attention to detail to make your stay really enjoyable. I would probably not suggest the upstairs bedrooms in the property as ideal for elderly as spiral staircase is a challenge. lovely bedroom downstairs though.

Great getaway

Great spot to getaway but still close to things like nice restaurants and things to do. Very private location. Super comfy bed. Good heating.

Low Head Peninsula has a contrasting calm lagoon and a wild open beach. Sandpiper has a French feel with tall hedges and blue shutters. It is private, quiet and so pretty. The house is a beautiful home away from home with a maritime feel. Low Head is such a beautiful holiday spot.

Sandpiper Beach House is surrounded by natural beauty. You can hear the penguins call in the evening, You can see the lighthouse blinking at night from the balcony. The house has access straight across the road to Lagoon Beach. Guests love to ride up to the lighthouse or stop by the cafe for coffee or gourmet supplies. It is an easy ride to Mt George Mountain bike trails. The kitchen has everything you need to self cater. The bedrooms are spacious and quiet. Each bedroom has electric blankets, heaters, fans, stylish linen, choice of pillows, block out blinds and extra blankets. Sandpiper has a private garden and backyard with weber bbq, picnic table and chairs.
