About this property

It's All About Location!

Bask in the picturesque view of Oneida Lake in our modern beachfront, the Sandcastle Duplex. Located in the heart of Sylvan Beach, right next to Harpoon Eddie’s!

This unit is located on the top level of the Sandcastle Duplex. It is Sandcastle #3. (We also have the Cuckoo Cottage and the lower Sandcastle unit available.)

Perfectly sized with two bedrooms - the first bedroom offers a double bed & the second has a bunk bed- full on bottom, twin on top (limit weight to 150 lb please.) The open floor plan living area has a love seat & dining for 4, with a television for some inside entertainment. The kitchen is equipped with a range, microwave, Keurig, and refrigerator. All pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and silverware are provided. We offer free WiFi, cable TV, and AC!

** If you have more friends and family joining you, we also have two more units available for vacationing! (The main level of the Sandcastle duplex--VRBO Property ID 1802109 and the Cuckoo Cottage directly across from the duplex--VRBO Property ID 1400366) **

*Bring your own bed linens, pillows, blankets, towels, toiletries, soaps, and wash cloths as these are not provided.

There is a charcoal grill

There is a picnic table and Adirondack chairs outside for seating. Please close umbrella if winds pick up.

A free shared parking space is included. Located past the pavilion behind the bank. Also, paid on-street parking available.

No need to check-in as there is a coded entry. You will receive a message prior to check-in with your code.

If you need a late check-out, you will need to let us know ahead of time & will be charged an extra fee. **

The Eastern Shore of Oneida Lake is shallow, sandy, and is great for kids and adults of all ages. Enjoy swimming, sunbathing, fishing, watch the kids play in the sand, do water sports, check out the boats along the canal, or rent a boat from a nearby marina! Be sure to check out an Events Calendar as there is much happening all summer long!

Become a kid again at Historic Sylvan Beach Amusement Park, just a short walk down the road! Enjoy dining and entertainment at Harpoon Eddie’s - right next door! Try your luck or see a show at Turning Stone Casino - It’s about a 20 minute drive. Bet on the horses at Vernon Downs Racing. Experience trendy shopping and dining at Destiny USA in Syracuse. Or win big at the new casino, a 2 minute walk down the beach!

a short trip with my grandchildren...steps to the beach...accurate pictures and description. steps to amusement park (take note that for us amusement park was closed...call for hours and days for amusement park) very close to The Wild (animal park) also unit is walking distance to several restaurants.

Thank you Mia for a wonderful little spot for a safe vacation getaway. Everything was clean and easy to find. Just steps from the sand. Kids loved our little spot on the beach. All ages from 5 to 46 had a great time. Everything was in walking distance and everyone was so nice. Definitely will come again.

Cozy Getaway

Beautiful property, just like the listing. My only complaint would be the difficulty in finding where to park and where the property was. Its BEHIND the purple cottages and we did not realize this for about 30 minutes. Would stay again!

Sylvan Beach is beautiful

I loved the stay at Sylvan beach. We paid way too much for the property the beds were very uncomfortable and sunk in the middle. Then we were accused of urinating in the main bedroom which never happened and for a fight that wasn’t us it was people we knew but they weren’t invited up. So the property manager is trying to charge us an extra 200 after we already paid a cleaning fee with the property for some urine she says that ran under the bed. It’s lies so be careful when you rent this and take pictures when you leave because I cleaned the place out and still was accused of this.

“Quaint little village of attached cottages. “ The unit was just as discribed. Pictures are accurate. My negativity with this property was the outdoor stairwell and windows were covered with cobwebs and spiders. My granddaughter’s were “freaked out” by this. The outdoor furniture also had spider webs. These should have been cleaned/removed before our arrival. I had to pay a $50 upfront cleaning fee. Since most of the cottage units are attached, you really can here the other guests. The sign said no pets, yet there were people staying with their dogs who really liked to bark! We were in the upper unit and the people in the lower unit had free access to the grill and picnic table. So we were not able to access this, as it states in the description. All and all, my granddaughters enjoyed the beach and amusement park.

Great location but needs TLC

The location couldn't be beat, just steps from the beach. However, we found a dirty sock under one of the beds, chicken wing bones on the deck, and the floor was dirty. It's a tiny place, so it shouldn't be hard to spot these things. Could also use a good deep clean and some updates (mattresses, functional furniture, bathroom caulk, etc.) Apparently the "no swimming" signs are just for decoration as there were people everywhere in the water, once Wednesday came along. Sunday - Tuesday are dead and besides the lake, the area doesn't have much to do. We just wanted to get away though, and this fit. Just know what you're getting into.

Hi Rob, Had you said anything regarding a sock & wings, I would’ve had my cleaning crew come & clean again. We normally have excellent housekeeping feedback, so I apologize for that & I’m not sure how those were missed. We did replace 2 of the 3 mattresses this past Spring, and I’ll take the caulk in the bathroom suggestion into consideration. Not sure what you mean by “Functional furniture?” A love seat in the space seems to work for most families that have stayed with us. The “No swimming” signs are posted because there is no lifeguard on duty & it is swim at your own risk. Restaurants/bars are open all week- Harpoon’s next door, The Lake House casino is right there, ice cream at What’s the Scoop, pizza at Pizza King all open- so I’m not sure what else you’d like as far as entertainment. …Not to mention the beach/canal/lake.. There is a lot to do. Early weekdays are not as busy as the weekend, as most people visit on the weekends.

This condo is right next to Harpoon Eddie's and included with a few cottages in a fenced-in area right on the beach. It has private beach access. The description was correct online. There really isn't much of a living room...just a kitchen/dining room with a table/chairs and a small wicker love seat. There is no oven if you need one. There are also no TVs located in the bedrooms and only 1 in the kitchen/dining area which you would have to sit at the table to watch or the small wicker love seat. Overall, great location, great hosts, and the place was clean. We would definitely stay again.
