Woodlands Estate - stunning garden on an acre

Woodlands is an expansive, architect designed, 4 bedroom holiday home with tennis court, huge one acre treed garden block with fenced yard - a holiday resort in itself!

Woodlands has 4 bedrooms, main with queen bed and ensuite (upstairs), 2nd with queen bed (downstairs), 3rd with queen bed (upstairs), 4th with double bed and single bunks, (upstairs) and sleeping a total of 10 persons in comfort and style

The bedrooms are supported by 3 bathrooms, including showers, baths, and 3 toilets. The two living areas include TV, DVD ample space and couches to relax, watch TV, read or enjoy the outside views. Downstairs has under floor heating, and the house includes 3 split systems air conditioners throughout.

The kitchen features dishwasher, microwave, Smeg oven and dishwasher, and lovely views outside. There is ample crockery, cutlery, glasses, platters, serving dishes to cater for week-ends or longer holiday stays. Laundry has washing machine.

Outdoors features patio with seating for 10, BBQ, tennis court with Basketball ring and endless lawn, The garage has billiards/table tennis table, darts, and board games, phew... you won’t want to leave!

Woodlands is a wonderful property for families, extended families or groups of couples to enjoy a short week-end break, extended holiday break, or tennis holiday. The one acre treed and fenced garden provides a wonderful play area for children as a great complement to the tennis court.

Secluded location a short drive to Ocean Grove main beach, Ocean Grove main shops and Ocean Grove Market Place. It's a short drive to the historic town of Queenscliff, Pt. Lonsdale, Geelong, Torquay, Portarlington olive groves and wineries, St. Leonards, the Bellarine coastal drive, Ocean Grove Pool complex and the marvellous Geelong Adventure Park - great for the kids and loads of fun. Just a one hour drive to Lorne via the Great Ocean Road. A great location to enjoy exploring the Bellarine Peninsula and all its treasures, or just staying put in Woodlands and enjoying your idyllic holiday location.

Amazing property for multi family getaway

This property was the perfect Easter getaway for two families. Plenty of room for all, comfortable and well equipped. The gardens were perfect for young kids and our dog, and they could run around and explore without us worrying about where they were. Great selection of games and puzzles to keep everyone entertained on a rainy day too. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic second time around

We love this property for the garden space, tennis court, and the incredible architecture. We take our dogs along but need to watch them with chickens next door on the fence line. Gen is such a lovely generous host, we look forward to staying again soon!

Xmas/New Year break 21/22

Overall the property was really good and sleeps 10 with no problems. Great space on the property and plenty to do eg tennis, basketball, ball games etc. kitchen was well equipped too as was the laundry. My only criticism is that the main bedroom lacked an air conditioner or Woking fan which was really bad in the stifling heat. Also, there are no fly screens in the bedrooms which makes leaving the windows open tough with all the insects coming in. Also, no exhaust fans in the bathrooms. The host was easy to contact and very polite. Overall a great place to stay.

Great house in an excellent location

We had a great stay. The house and garden are large and generous. Everything as described and it’s a huge treat to have access to a tennis court. Communication with Gen was excellent.

Excellent accommodation for an extended family gathering

Woodlands is a wonderful, expansive property, providing many enjoyable spaces for a variety of family activities, both indoors and within the beautiful gardens. The home itself is very comfortable and well equipped. Children are easily entertained with a variety of games available as well as a fantastic tennis court! Gen and Shane were accommodating hosts, with helpful, clear and friendly communication. We all had a great time!

Fits all boxes

This property fits all boxes. This property had everything we needed and much more! Our dogs enjoyed exploring the big yard. We enjoyed the beautiful garden, playing tennis and so many other games. We all loved this property so much. Absolutely AMAZING. The property owners were just fantastic and communicated well. We haven’t stopped talking about how great our stay had been. Perfect family getaway

We had a lovely stay over the Easter long weekend. The kids had a fabulous time hunting for eggs in the gardens, as well as discovering all the toys & games. The house was absolutely gorgeous inside, the pictures really don’t do it justice, and really well set up for guests to stay! Gen was super helpful in answering any questions & quick with communication. Highly recommend!

Long weekend getaway

Property was very well equipped, lots of little extras that others had left behind. Gave it a nice pay it forward vibe! Kitchen had everything you need. My dog had an absolute blast chasing balls in the yard. Wonderful weekend getaway

Mid Century Fabulous

We had a beautiful stay here with our dogs - all of us playing tennis together and there is a lot in the garden for doggies to investigate. The space and light in the house is amazing as well as the huuuge air sack (bean bag). We didn’t want for anything and we were really sad to leave.

Great for Groups

We were 2 family groups of 5 each. The highlight of the property was the big beautifully landscaped grounds and great range of activities indoor and out. Tennis, frisbees with the dog, pool, shooting hoops, board games etc. Ocean Grove is a beautiful long sandy beach. Went to Mr Grubb for dinner on the owners recommendation. Fabulous! Great food on the shady deck surrounded by vines. Just something to be aware of. 3 of the 4 bedrooms are upstairs and get quite warm. You might want to bring light blankets in the summer months, although 2 have air conditioners. Overall a great holiday house in a lovely beachside town.

Post Lockdown Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this property. Boys loved playing tennis, table tennis and basketball. The size of the backyard was awesome for the kids and our energetic dog. We almost lost him a couple of times the yard is so spacious. We will definitely be booking another getaway here.

Magical beauty

Absolutely a beautiful property to relax and have a great time with the family. Loads of games for kids and tennis court is a added bonus. Owners are super helpful and nice. Definitely will book again

Ocean Grove, more like 'Oasis' Grove

Gen and Shane have created the perfect retreat for a beach getaway. The huge house and gardens are beautifully maintained and our group had a great weekend enjoying the multiple living spaces, games room, tennis court, bbq area and expansive gardens. The house is easy to get to from the Geelong road and a simple drive to the beach and Ocean Grove's main shops. Can't wait to visit again!

Really Enjoyable Family Easter

We loved our stay at Woodlands Estate it had everything a family would want from tennis court, adjustable basketball ring (our grandkids loved),table tennis, pool table in garage and 3 bathrooms definite bonus with having several families. Gen was fantastic to deal with and a very generous host with what we could use. The beds were comfy as well and a wonderful garden for kids to run around and ride their bikes. It is central to all the shopping centres and a nice 25min walk to beach. Hope we get to stay there again!!

A Wonderful stay

Property owner, Gen ...One word amazing Property itself also amazing. I have never booked a holiday house and been so accommodating. The house is full of surprises, pool, table tennis, huge amount board games, beautiful grass tennis court. Goes on and on and also all the ancillaries . I can only imagine how much fun and entertainment this would be for the family. I took my elderly mum and dad there and they just loved looking at the surrounds and going for drives. Great spot at Ocean Grove. I will be going back some day soon

Perfect venue for our pre-wedding group

Gen and Shane and their gorgeous family were amazing. They were in constant contact in the lead up to our stay and took so much care to make sure it was perfect for our bridal party accommodation. Everything was wonderful. Woodlands is a fantastic venue for a family and friends group. I can’t wait to stay there again

A Wonderful Stay!

What a wonderful house and garden!! It was lovely to have breakfast outside and enjoy the sound of the birds in the garden while my dog sniffed around. It was fabulous too to play tennis on the new tennis court!!!!! Our kids loved the games room with darts and pool (as well as many other board games, books and puzzles) and it was only a short drive to the town and the beach. Gen and Shane were great hosts too!! Thank you!!

Hi, we're Gen & Shane, very lucky owners of this magnificent property!
We have 2 (mostly) delightful daughters, Anna (8) & Maya (6). We are without any furry friends at present, but if Gen and the girls get their way, hopefully a little pet sooner rather than later :)
Gen is a Maths teacher at a high school in Melbourne and Shane is a Purchasing Manager.
We all absolutely adore spending time at Woodlands, we get down as often as we can (ie/ when we don't have kids parties to attend at home or when wonderful guests stay at our property!) and Shane in particular just loves maintaining the beautiful gardens.

Why they chose this property

We were looking for a 1 acre property and fell completely in love with the area (Woodlands estate).
How could we not got past this particular eye-catching home when it came on the market?!
Our only concern - how do we upkeep the magnificent gardens that the previous owners so meticulously maintained?! We've tried our best and think it still looks pretty good (when it's not so dry)!

What makes this property unique

A mezzanine in one of the bedrooms (I always dreamed of this!)
Wonderful architectural features - from the modernist era
So private, yet wonderful neighbours
It can be the busiest time of the year downtown, yet you wouldn't know it at Woodlands - it's an absolute world away. Bliss!
Yet, all the conveniences are still moments away if you need them!
