With wide open spaces and a newly renovated sector, this spacious house has plenty of room for the kids to run around and is the perfect accommodation for a large family. The main house includes a sunken lounge, with a fireplace and flat-screen TV, a large modern kitchen, additional lounge room and a dining room. Bi-fold glass doors open out onto an extensive furnished outside deck, barbeque area, private heated pool & spa  and hinterland views.

On the heights of Peregian Beach, get back to nature in seclusion and privacy, while only being a 9 minute drive from the stunning coastal patrolled beaches, less than 2 minutes from Lake Weyba and under a 15 minute drive to Noosa.  There is so much to do and explore within range of this extremely popular holiday destination. Enjoy the laid back lifestyle, great beaches, national parks, shopping villages, local markets and renowned eateries. In this area, there is always something for everyone to do and love.

Beautiful property, perfect for our stay with extended family. Kids aged 6-16 all had a great time with plenty to do.

Experience was great for a large group. Issues at the beginning with the air con not working but this was fixed asap. The property has a horse and she loves to be fed swveral times a day and would let you know she was there. The kids loved feeding the horse and playing in the pool.

Amazing house

It was a good time staying this amazing house. Very big living area and backyard. There was a horse coming every morning for feeding. And there were a few kangaroos found in the backyard. A lots of fun for kids.

Lovely relaxing home with lots of room

We enjoyed our stay and the kids were very occupied with the pool and kayaks. The kitchen was well stocked and we appreciated the extra beach towels

Beautiful spacious home-very family friendly

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Carter House. House was located in a small community on a preserve and we saw many birds. There was A small horse who stopped by each morning for breakfast. Our group was 7 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of room for everyone. Rooms were spacious and kid friendly. The layout shows exactly how big the home is. Very nice pool and outside eating area. Property was well maintained, clean and had everything you could ask for. We did have two minor issues but the property manager corrected them immediately. I would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again!

Disappointed

Booking company was terrible to deal with one set of keys for 11 people poor water pressure. Dishwasher left with dirty dishes and not working due to filter being full. Poor communication with company . Company let the the property down. Previous guests complaints left in house. Shabby

Upon your arrival it was discovered that you were planning on holding a wedding during your holiday at the property. Your disappointment with our company is more likely to do with the necessary conversation we had to have with you with regards to the clear breach of our terms and conditions. Had you disclosed the true intention of your booking, we would have clearly advised functions (especially of this type) are strictly against our terms and conditions. In my view you were lucky we even allowed you to stay for your holiday/wedding. Regarding the highlighted maintenance issues, we try to ensure the property is up to standard prior to guest’s arrival, however we cannot ensure maintenance issues do not occur while guests are in house. Had you contacted us during your stay, we would have happily rectified these issues immediately. Since receiving your feedback all raised issues have been resolved. Despite these issues, we hope you had a wonderful holiday. Carter Retreat is a very popular, well-equipped, spacious property situated in a peaceful, semi-rural area. We were very happy with Carter House on the Sunshine Coast.

I found it a pleasure to deal with Karen and Carolyn. We booked at very short notice and Karen bent over backwards to try and accommodate as a triathlon was on the weekend we wanted to head to Sunshine Coast so they didn't have much to offer. But we found the Carter House glorious. Lovely deck to spend your days and you get to have the local geese, miniature horses and any other native wildlife popping in for a feed. We made the most of the fire place on a couple of the cooler nights and love the kitchen with the Accordion windows and doors onto the decks. Room upstairs you could lie on the bed and see the stars at night before falling asleep. Even tho it wasn't our first choice it turned out to be an amazing place. And on the day of arrival, Carolyn and her husband were lovely to deal with. I certainly will deal directly then via third party booking site for any future bookings up the coast. Getting into the property grounds and into property itself was simple to follow instructions. Stayed 27/05/2017 to 31/05/2017

Excellent, Family Friendly Property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carter Retreat. There were two families and there was more than enough room for everyone! The children enjoyed the large backyard and pool as well as the afternoon visits from the two miniature horses and geese. It was also great to be able to paddle around the dam, which is only a short stroll from the house. The house was fully equipped and we weren't wanting for anything. I highly recommend this property! We will definitely be back again.
