A wonderful holiday
Vicki and Ed are very friendly Hosts who ensured our holiday was restful and enjoyable. They are very knowledgeable about the area and Tourist sights. The pretty cottage is very clean and welcoming, with vases of fresh flowers, soft towels, comfortable bed and couches. The view from the cottage is beautiful including stunning sunsets.and the farm’s gorgeous pigmy goats.

Beautiful!
We loved every minute of our five nights here. The cottage was immaculately clean, extremely comfortable and the attention to detail was amazing. The views across the valley towards the distant mountains are truly gorgeous. We loved the gardens and the alpacas and goats. Our hosts were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. A great location with easy access to all that the North-East of Victoria has to offer. We came home thoroughly relaxed with great memories. After all, isn’t that what it’s all about?

Deluxe Weekend Away
We had an amazing weekend at the cottage. The cottage is so cosy and tastefully decorated. Everything about this cottage is high end, the beds are really comfortable, beautiful white fresh linen and towels. Owners are so accommodating, coffee pods and milk provided and plenty of firewood for both indoor and outdoor fireplaces. The cottage is a short drive from Mansfield, far enough away to feel as though you are in the country but a short drive into town. We loved staying here perfect family getaway. The walks are amazing especially down to the river to enjoy an afternoon picnic. The views from the veranda will stay with me forever!!!

amazing place
We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage over the last weekend. It's such a beautiful place with magnificent sceneries. The cottage itself is very clean, beautifully made and every detail has been looked after very carefully. We loved the little kid’s bedroom which is adjacent to the main bedroom and makes easy and comfortable for everyone. Plenty of space on the outside as well to enjoy your meals looking at the gorgeous gardens. The kids loved watching the farm animals, running around the gardens exploring, and sitting on the tyre swing. They were kept busy indoors as well with the books and DVD’s. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We couldn’t ask for anything more for weekend get-away and will definitely want to come back in summer. Well done Vickie and Ed, for building and maintaining such an amazing place.

When we lived together in London in the late 1990s my now husband Ed & I had a shared dream of running our own accommodation in Australia. We moved here in 2003, bought our property a year later & after years of dedicated building & landscaping and lots of hard work, it has taken us until 2017 to realise that dream but we are now open for business & loving it!

What we have created in Barwite is more than we could ever have imagined to be possible & we are looking forward to this next chapter in our lives along with our two beautiful children.

We are very proud of what we have achieved & are happy now it is all established. We are very much looking forward to hosting you and sharing our dream property with you.

Why they chose this property

We chose to set up our accommodation in Barwite, Mansfield because of it's location to year-round opportunities for guests to enjoy the variety of seasons and all they have to offer - whether it is skiing on the mountain (only 25 min drive to Mt Buller), swimming or fishing in the lakes and rivers, cycling the area or visiting the local attractions such as the maze, the zoo and the awe-inspiring lookouts, there is something for everyone. As well as the wineries, breweries, cafes and restaurants.

What makes this property unique

Everything you see on the property has been built, placed or grown by us. It has taken a long time to establish, but we feel we are at a point now where we can enjoy what we have created and now are able to share the property with others for a special holiday experience.
