Long weekend getaway

We enjoyed a great long weekend away at Bowhill. The house was very functional, comfortable and clean for our large group including younger children. Very well appointed with a lovely view of the river in a quiet location.

Fantastic multi-generational holiday location

This is our second time for our group of 18 to stay in this beautiful house on a beautiful part of the river. Having a large kitchen with two fridges, a large living space, 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms means space for everyone. We will be back!!

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

We had one of THE best weekends despite the weather! Location was perfect, The shack (luxurious shack may I add) fit everybody comfortably, it was so spacious and had everything you needed. Loved the BBQ area such a great idea. loads of seating for larger groups. We will be back!

Great place for large group

This house is amazing Everything you could need. Cupboards well stocked. Communication with owner was great. We all enjoyed our stay for my birthday celebrations. 12 adults and 11 children. Enough room for us all Thanks so much

Amazing!

We (5 families, 23 people) stayed for 5 nights and can’t speak highly enough of this property. Its location and facilities were outstanding. It had the most well equiped kitchen we had ever seen! The owners are very generous in what they supply and extremely helpful in answering any questions. We would give six stars if we could!

Luxurious escape

The location is breathtaking. This part of the river is full of birds and fish. The night why is magical. The property itself has everything you need. Very well stocked and everything has been thought about. This is my second stay here and I love it!

If your looking to stay on the Murry this is the ultimate! A massive house with all the space and amenities you could ever want. Very responsive host and always happy to help. I cannot recommend this enough.

Luxury River Side House - Its True!

14 of us had a fantastic time at this property. So much space to spread out and the various wings of the house allowed for the families/cousins etc to group together. It has beautiful views of the cliffs and is in a quieter sheltered part of the river, which proved great for learners. The Kitchen is very well stocked with utencils, cutlery and dinnerware and the huge fridges were very appreciated for our group size and the amount of food bought to feed everyone. We really enjoyed our morning walks to the General Store for coffee and a sneaky wine in the afternoon. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and location. Just Fab!

Magical

We spent a wonderful weekend at this property with extended family. The floorplan was perfect for accommodating the various combinations of family members, and having access to four bathrooms was amazing. So many options for seating the large group indoors and outdoors. Likewise, the indoor and outdoor kitchen areas were brilliant, and we loved using the pizza oven. Everything has been considered and included which makes the place feel like a home. Best of all, it is located on the end of a cul-de-sac so it is situated in the most peaceful and private part of the stretch of places along the river. We wish we had booked for longer. Thank you so much.

Best property in Bow Hill

I stayed at this Luxury River Side House in late October 2023 with a group of friends for an annual get-together. The property is located right on the waterfront, with a pontoon, spacious lawn, and impeccable outdoor cooking and dining facilities. But it's when you climb the stairs inside the house, that you see the best parts of the location. Sweeping views of the Murray River through the floor to ceiling windows, spacious dining table, more outdoor seating on the balcony, and the impressive master bedroom - again overlooking the river. Colin was on hand throughout the trip to answer any questions that we had about the property and was a fantastic host overall. The river community is still getting back on its feet after the recent devastating floods, and many homes remain under construction. Please support this fantastic region by booking a few nights. You won't regret it.

Called last minute,host was more than helpful and accomodating to allow us to stay on short notice. Great location,perfect for quiet getaway and fun on skis as one side was no homes that may be annoyed with noise

Fantastic property...beautiful location

Had a fantastic experience at this property celebrating a 60th wedding anniversary. Beautifully appointed property, lots of bedrooms for us all, plenty of spots on the property to have your own space, and the riverside location opposite cliffs was stunning. Great communication with the owner throughout - we highly recommend this property.

Extended family holiday

3 generations enjoyed our time away together. The property was perfect to gather as a large group and to find space away from the crowd. Very generous with basic provisions and we loved the pizza oven too.
