Beautiful Palana

Fantastic location for a relaxing holiday and great house to spend time listening to the birds, waves and soaking up the essence of Flinders Island. Would return in a heart beat, bellissima.

Palana Beach House

This beach house was all that we had hoped for and more. It not only put us within easy striking distance of more remote (and truly amazing) areas of Flinders Island, but it was also a fun, relaxing, very well equipped and comfortable destination to be enjoyed in itself! Great, reliable communication from the owner. Our whole family had an absolute ball and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you!

The pictures in the ad made the property look good however when we got to the accommodation we realised the place was so much better than we had expected. It was a fantastic spot where we watched dolphins swimming from the balcony. Unrivalled views, a stones throw from the beach and all round could not recommend highly enough.

Fabulous house and locatin

Fabulous house - lots of comforts and amenities supplied . Wonderfully remote - so make sure you plqn your trip to accomodate local IGA opening times etc. Car is a must have! Incredibly peaceful and comfortable property!

Palana is magic

We loved staying at this beautiful beach shack for five days. Palana is a tiny, remote place on the top of the island and is so peaceful and beautiful. Palana Beach House has the best view of anywhere we have stayed.

Memorable stay!

An enjoyable stay on an incredible island. Sacha was really easy to communicate with. There were some issues with power which thankfully only manifested themselves the day we were checking out. The place comes with 500mb of reliable satellite internet but Sacha can buy more for a fee. The house is separated into two buildings: one building houses the two bedrooms, the other houses the kitchen, dining/living space, and the bathroom. The house can get very warm on hot days but thankfully there is a large fan in the living space. I would recommend Sacha gets two more for each of the bedrooms. Do head over to the Palana boat ramp (search for it on Google maps) for a nice spot to go fishing and swimming. There's a dock there too with a ladder which allows for direct access to the water, perfect if you're like me and hate sand! The water is a beautiful colour, similar to the bay of fires area but much warmer. A word of warning in terms of car rentals: you need a 4wd to see a lot of the island but there doesn't seem to be an option for tourists to rent one. Perhaps talk to Sacha for advice on this. We rented from the main car rental place and ended up with a crappy Toyota Corolla that got stuck on a simple dirt road resulting in a 150 dollar fine. Buy your supplies before you come up as the beach house is far from the main grocery store. Don't hesitate to book a stay here, it will be memorable!

Charming elevated beachside property with its own Island charm.

The property was well appointed with a stone fireplace timber floor boards and features. Spacious living area, large dining table and lots of indoor/outdoor seating. Views of Palana beach with easy beach access. Separate sleeping bedrooms with ocean views great for that extra peace and quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Julie
