We welcome you to our quiet neighborhood and "Tiny House" living. The very comfortable 330 sq. ft apartment is semi-attached to the back of the owner's house and is completely separate. It is nicely appointed with all the amenities you might need to make your stay enjoyable as well as relaxing. In the summer time, the patio is the perfect place to have a BBQ and enjoy a glass of wine. Because the apartment is small we have provided a shed for extra storage - Ski equipment, bicycles, luggage, golf clubs, etc. Across the street is access to the Crystal River from where many fishing guides depart. If you like to hike, Mushroom Rock is just minutes away. If golf is your game in 3 minutes you're at beautiful River Valley Ranch Golf course where you can enjoy a round with incredible mountain views. Our apartment is also situated within walking distance to downtown Carbondale where you can enjoy one of the many diverse restaurants and then catch a movie or a play.
Carbondale is a beautiful, quaint town with interesting shops and art galleries and fantastic restaurants. It is situated between Aspen (25 miles) with its world class skiing and Glenwood Springs (12 miles) with its world famous Hot Springs Pool.
My husband, Bill, and I are just a phone call away if you have questions or just need to be pointed in the right direction so you can explore the beautiful Roaring Fork Valley.
We are really enjoying your vrbo! Great location and I love how you have tastefully decorated! It is so comfortable. Looking forward to the rest of our stay!....We have had an awesome stay here. Thank you so much!
I brought my husband here for a surprise getaway. The tiny house is lovely. Very clean, up to date amenities and very well equipped. Lots of attention to details. Comfy foam bed, nice love seat and the fire place was fun to curl up in front of. Carbondale location was also great. We went skiing at Sunlight (less than 30 min. away and much less expensive than other resorts), swam in Glenwood Springs pools, went snowshoeing, checked out some great Carbondale shops and restaurants including the brewery, distillery and Village Smithy (ultimate breakfast place). Also close proximity to Aspen let us go see some ski racing.
A terrific place to stay while we were visiting Carbondale. I hope we can return some day!
I was charmed by Wendy and Bill's Tiny House. I spent a week here, mostly traveling solo, and enjoyed every minute. The house is a marvelous combination of efficient space, attention to detail, fabulous decor, simplicity, functionality and extreme comfort. I've never stayed in this type of small house, and was delighted with its beauty, sustainability and clever construction. The high ceilings, use of white and large windows looking out at large trees, flowers, lavender bed, patio transform the small footprint into a welcoming home that's a pleasure to live in. I could have stayed forever, sitting in the patio rock garden with coffee , or by the river on one of the quiet trails down the street. Set in a quiet neighborhood with large trees and vegetation, I found a sense of serenity and refuge which was welcome after days exploring historic downtown Carbondale, nearby hikes, rivers, reservoirs, and vineyards.
It was so peaceful to wake up to hummingbirds, abundant blooms and birdsong. The light and clear air in this part of the state is a treat, and finding the perfect place to call home makes it even more wonderful.
Wendy and Bill, thank you for your hospitality, your attentiveness, and your generosity in sharing this treasure.
I hope to return again often.
The host was delightful and the place was wonderful to stay in. Every type of accessory and appliance was available. The web photos were a very good representation of the property. Just a 12 minute walk from downtown along beautiful streets. The "Little House" was bright and beautifully decorated. Also, we considered it a great value.
My husband and I love the "Tiny House". It had everything we needed. It was the perfect size for us. Wendy has done a great job decorating. We enjoyed relaxing on the patio and just hanging out in the cozy living room. She is a great host as well.
Wendy and Bill's "tiny house" is ultra comfortable, with a firm mattress, a cozy gas fire, and a very usable small kitchen. It sits in a lovely neighborhood, with views of snow covered Mt. Sopris. And, the place is within driving distance of innumerable day hikes, hotsprings, and historic sites. We especially enjoyed the Redstone and Marble trips. Thanks, Wendy and Bill!
