We would give it more stars if we could. Owner communication was exceptional and appreciated before arrival, during and after leaving. The house and beach area are both perfect and the pictures do not do them justice. Everything was clean and comfortable and I can't think of anything one might need that was not provided. Perfect holiday home for all ages and furry loved ones as well. Thanks!

Getaway Gem in Tiny Township

This house is beautiful! Right on the waterfront and plenty of room for all. The pictures dont do it justice. This rental has a large kitchen with all the amenities and walk out to spacious deck. Jon is such a great host and very pleasant to communicate with.

Tranquility on the water

So many positives about this home. Communication with the owner was quick and pleasant. Beautiful views, comfy beds, fresh linens, great towels, a kitchen that has every amenity a chef could wish for.  Comfy sectionals, on main and basement levels, fireplace, beach towels,  a lovely firepit and beach.   This is a large house and can accommodate 8 plus adults very easily.  And would be great for  year round activities.

This property is amazing. The sound of the waves lulls you to sleep. The heated bathroom floors are amazing, and the beach is gorgeous. The fenced front yard was a bonus for the dogs, and there's a ball diamond minutes away that is fully fenced and works as a dog park. The location is close to Toronto and is absolutely gorgeous!

Beautiful lake house retreat

Spent 3 nights at this beautiful lake house. Owners went above and beyond to make it feel like a vacation... Wine and gift basket greeted us and activities and games for the kids! So thoughtful. House is spacious, very clean, beautifully decorated and stunning views. Beds were very comfortable and lots of charming comfy details such as throw blankets. Even beds for our dog. Truly a wonderful place!

Excellent!

This home is truly beautiful. Perfectly located in front of the lake and fully equipped with everything you need - from clean towels, spices, blankets, cook wear, etc. it’s spacious and extremely comfortable. Exceptionally clean and perfect for families. My only suggestion is to ensure the rooms are warmer as we did feel a bit cold. Other than that, the stay was simply one of the best! We hope to return.

Enjoyable 50th Birthday Weekend

The house and property are beautiful. Inside is fully redone and modern. All the necessities needed were there. The only issue was the spider nests on the deck and outdoor furniture. A good powerwash of the outside of the cottage, deck and furniture will solve this problem. Other than that its a 5 star stay.

Absolutely fabulous

This far exceeded all expectations. Communications with Jon before and after arrival was excellent, including a very useful on line handbook. We were a large family group and the layout of the cottage allowed everyone to have their own space, even those who had to work during part of their stay. Everything about the cottage is top notch and high end. Great location with a nice beach, fire pit, and many levels and places to relax. Kitchen was really well equipped and ideal for catering to a crowd. Great value!

Beautiful and serene

Just home from a week at Jon and Karen’s lovely cottage. Could not have asked for a better stay. The cottage is even better than described. The kitchen is extraordinarily well stocked. The beds, particularly the master, are extremely comfortable. The view is beautiful. We had a minor glitch at check in…. the hosts were responsive and solved the situation to our complete satisfaction. We would love to come back to the area, and if we do we’d be thrilled to stay here again. Highly recommend!

Great family memories

There were nine of us (7 adults, 2 teens) plus a very active dog, and we never felt crowded or squished. There were nooks for quiet time, and large rooms and decks where everyone could be together. Plenty of bathrooms. Comfy beds. The house was clean, modern. Very large dining tables inside and out! A sandy beach plus a fully fenced yard with a firepit and room for lawn games. Lots of beach toys (we also brought floaties). A large, well-stocked kitchen (no need to bring any tools!). Numerous decks furnished with lots of comfortable seating. Close proximity to a fantastic sunset viewing point. Jon was extremely responsive to our millions of questions in the lead-up to our stay. It was really just perfect.

Fabulous getaway

This is our second family get-together at this cottage getaway. We absolutely love the space, it's perfect for a large group. The area is beautiful, great place to go for long walks, the foliage was next level. The property is well managed. Definitely recommend.

Georgian Bay Delights

The listing is exactly how it was when we opened the door. A direct view of Georgian Bay and it was amazing. The private beach area, firepit area and outdoor seating are perfect for any time of year. The house is well stocked from the kitchen (don't bring anything!), bathrooms and linens to the beach shed. Only need your food/drinks! We loved the separate living areas for two couples and there is a lot of space for personal time. Jon was a great host and was easy to get a hold of in case something went wrong. We will certainly keep this one on our list of rentals! Enjoy the view folks!

This place was amazing! My family and I had such a great time in this beautiful home. What the kids enjoyed the most was the sand and water they had. Fabulous Weekend Getaway!

If you are questioning this place....let me tell you.....you won't be disappointed!!! We rented Jon's place for my husband's 37th birthday with a few of our friends and from the moment we arrived we all knew we wanted to come back with our families. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Each room was cozy and well decorated. Jon and his wife really did think of everything that would create ease to someone's stay. All our friends that came felt the same way. The views of the lake are just gorgeous. You can enjoy the lake views from one of the upstairs bedrooms, standing in the kitchen, sitting on the dining table, lounging on the very cozy couch inside on the main floor and even the walkout basement had stunning views. But my favorite was sitting on the back deck while sipping my morning coffee watching the water and listening to the waves. Even the patio furniture was unexpectedly extremly comfortable. We were a group of 8. We could ALL easily sit at the dining table and there was ample space to lounge with two L-shaped comfy couch areas to enjoy (one of the main floor and one in the walkout basement). This place had everything you needed and more. The kitchen was fully stocked (all you need to bring is your food and drinks) and had a massive island which made cooking, unpacking and packing for food items seamless. Ample parking! Both the front yard and backyard is very well landscaped. We stayed at the end of October and even though we couldn't enjoy the water activities because of the temperatures.....I would still come back even in the winter to enjoy. Would love to stay again in the warmer months too to enjoy the private beach. The heated floors in the upstairs bathroom was such a luxury for the chilly fall days. There are no delivery food service providers (Uber eats, doordash etc. ) in Tiny as yet which we knew ahead of time. Planning your food out ahead of time is beneficial if you do not plan on cooking. Jon was a great host. He provided us with a lot of beneficial information prior to our arrival and the opportunity to ask questions. After we arrived, he followed up with us to make sure everything was OK. Thank you Jon for your hospitality and for a wonderfully comfortable and relaxing stay!

Wonderful vacation spot

This vacation rental is a 10 out of 10. I have rented this place twice and would rent it again. It's a great location close to lots of hiking and its right on the water. Beautiful fall colours and the cottage has everything you could need and more. The owner is amazing to deal with and everything is laid out in plan english, very easy to understand.

I am a technology buff, and have worked in the technology industry for 30 years. I run a sales organization for a large American software company, and love having the opportunity to spend my time dealing with people.

My wife Karen worked in Operations for technology companies as well, until 6 years ago when she decided to take her skills in operations, and her love of working with people, and started our property investment business called Gatehouse Properties. Today Karen manages our portfolio of high end student rentals with a focus on providing clean, safe environments for young adults to live in, and be proud of, during the years of their studies. Karen loves dealing with the students and their parents. Karen finds her passion in taking an active role in helping to make this important, and sometimes scary life transition as easy as possible for both the students and their parents.

As we now transition a part of our focus to the area of hospitality and short term rental properties, we are thrilled to be able to offer this property to our guests. Every moment in life is a gift, and memories that come out of those moments are priceless. We understand the value of those memories and want to do our part to help make them happen.

Our intention is to provide you with a clean, comfortable and relaxing environment where your time spent in our home is truly marked with great memories that will last for years.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

My wife and I live just west of the GTA. We are avid boaters, and enjoyed boating on Lake Ontario for years, but in 2017, with all the flooding on Lake Ontario, we decided to bring the boat to her new home at the Bayport Yachting Centre in Midland. We began spending every weekend, and summer vacations in the 30,000 islands, and not only fell in love with the boating, but with the communities of Midland and Penetanguishene.

Karen and I own several rental properties, and so we are not new to the rental business. We wanted to expand our rental activity to include being able to bring great vacation experiences to other families that wanted to enjoy time together creating great memories in this beautiful part of our Province.

After a couple summers of searching (and looking at dozens of potential homes) we finally found the one that we thought was a perfect fit for our guests.

We are now thrilled to be able to offer this Lake House property to our guests, and ask that you help us do everything possible to make your stay memorable.
