Our host made it a very pleasurable experience, as well as Jerry, the owner. We had a wonderful time. Enough room for separation of people. A great experience!
We had a family group of 21 at the Log Inn and had a great time! The listing is accurate to the letter & the property is lovingly maintained. Got to chat with Jerry briefly - he is a treat! Make sure to appreciate his original artwork. The place is super clean. It has the odd small scrape or scuff, which is inevitable for a place so big. It is VERY well equipped including bath towels, linens, even toys. The kitchen has every appliance you can imagine & service for 40 was not an exaggeration. Plenty of bathrooms. The kids loved the Cousins room, which is a bit separate from the other bedrooms, so less noise!Wheelchair accessibility is not just a token ramp! My niece was able to navigate the whole first floor, every entrance, AND the outdoor spaces, and there's a bathroom that seems ADA compliant. AWESOME!We had some rain which meant a little time stuck indoors, but the furnishings and amenities are so well setup that we never felt cramped. The garage game room and multiple dining room tables for meals & card games came in clutch.Just a couple minor things: the water is somewhat hard, so we brought in bottled for drinking & cooking. (They do have a softener & provided some bottled water on arrival.)Don't expect a sandy beach: the water line is mostly wooded/shrubby and the water shallow but 3 docks meant we still had good access for kayaking, swimming, & fishing (the kids caught more than they could count!). I bet we'll be back someday!
We had a wonderful week at Log Inn. check in was easy, both Dorothy and Jerry were very pleasant and east to work with. The only thing we found surprising was that there was only one oven. With as many people as we had, a second one would have been appreciated. Everything else was fabulous! We hope we left everything easy for the housekeeping staff. Thanks again!
Great property with an interesting layout. Was perfect for our annual 4-generation family vacation. First floor BR was just right for out 75-ish seniors, and plenty of room upstairs for everyone else. Just a short drive to the beach for the girls to float on our tubes, and great fishing for the guys. Dorothy gave us a tour when we arrived, and Jerry, the owner/architect, lives nearby and Ray had great fishing tips. Jerry's artist gifts are evident throughout the property. Gracious and welcoming.
Great stay for an extended family (approx. 20 people). Layout is great. Lovely, self-made house. Interesting architectural juxtapositions. Love the artwork. House is clean in the ways that matter (clean beds, bathrooms, etc.) Some long-term maintenance (clean walls, matching light bulbs) are less so. Great property with super-interesting paths, water channels, bridges, etc... Vegetation obstructed lake view, which is great for wildlife, but less scenic for those who'd love to sit on the deck and watch the waves. Host is friendly and responsive. Lots of parking.
A great place for a large family gathering / reunion! Plenty of sleeping space and outdoor activities! Property manager was very helpful/ quick to respond.
Our family stayed at the Log Inn for my sonâs college graduation. The number, set up, and location of the bedrooms within the house is perfect for multi-generational get togethers and the game room and outdoor games were wonderful. Every single thing you may need is available. The house was clean, however, there are areas that need attention - for example the sliding doors were not easy to use and screens were in disrepair. There was only one pool cue for the pool table
Dorothy was super responsive even when she was not around and was taking care of sick, she was always available to answer back and help. Huge property with nice rooms and furnitures. I would love to come back again.
Great experience, lots of space for people to spread out. Hosts are amazing! They did a lot to make out stay easy and comfortable. We were there for a Christmas gathering so we didn't do too much outside. Some of our group did go ice fishing. Great experience, I would definitely recommend!
A fabulous place to host our grooms dinner as we got married at Ahavah Cottage! The venue only lets you have an hour so having a place to gather afterwards that was close and large enough to host a catered meal was important. Plenty of rooms, very large kitchen and everyone was pleased! Plus, how sweet to leave treats, wine, and a note for us! Our only note is that a little later checkout would have been nice, but not that big of a deal.
The accomodations were perfect for our large extended family. The host was timely with her communications and very helpful. We enjoyed everything about our stay here.
The hosts were incredibly accomodating and wonderfully communicative, the house and property was stunning for our family get together and vow renewals!
My entire family gathered here for labor day weekend and everyone enjoyed their stay. We had 16 people. There was more than enough room for everyone to have their own space and not feel crowded. Having most everything on one level was important as one family member has mobility issues and was able to function fully with the one bedroom on the main level. The kitchen had an overwhelming amount of dishes and supplies for meals. The garage was a fun hangout for our crowd and there were plenty of games indoor and outdoor to choose from. The property is beautiful with little trails to the lake. We werenât able to utilize the lake front for swimming but found 2 beaches on the lake very close by either by boat or driving. The host was quick to respond to questions that popped up along the way.
The house was well equipped with supplies and cooking accessories. The game room was an excellent addition. The house fit our needs very well with all the bedrooms and bathrooms. We struggled with having enough hot water. Some of the walls and doors really need a scrubbing. The outside appearance really needs attention. The siding needs power washing and the landscaping needs some work.
We go On a family weekend every year. The house accommodated our large group and was well stocked with everything we needed. The beach was not far away and the fishing was awesome. It was a great place to stay and we made lots of memories!
Father's Day with family to take little ones fishing
We had multiple family members spending Father's Day with 2 fathers and 2 grandfathers. We wanted to get together to play games and get some fishing in for the fathers with their 10 children under 11 years old. They were able to fish from the docks and bridges. This house had everything we needed. Dorothy had many special amenities for us, making us feel welcome. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment that made serving meals easy. There was plenty of room for everyone. We had a great time.
Log Inn was such a great place to stay. We stayed here for our wedding and the place was very welcoming, clean, cute, everything you need to have a gathering. The garage was a fantastic addition, the host was super accommodating, flexible, and great communication. 10/10!
We enjoyed our stay. Manager was very friendly.
A very fun place to stay. Three families 72-3 yrs old. Ice fishing was very good. So many rooms and bathrooms made for good sleeping and privacy. We enjoyed looking at the art work and details about the log cabin, which is part of the house. Great place for families.
Thank you
Property was roomy & clean & well laid out for our group - beds were comfortable.
Our host was attentive and welcoming - the lack of snow in December put a damper on our outdoor plans, but there was plenty of other things to do in the area.
A great spot for our large group of grandkids, adults kids, teens & adults - game room was a great space & we made a lot of food in the kitchen!
We were so surprised at how big it was! It really fits a large group nicely. Loved the extras. We were gifted bottled water, wine and snacks and everyone was so impressed by that. The kitchen is very well equipped. We would come back.
