A beautiful 2,295 sf custom home with dramatic interiors and a colorful sense of style, plus a private casita in the backyard, is within walking distance of both the beach and fine dining, shopping and theater venues in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Guests will appreciate the quiet neighborhood that surrounds this 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath home, where outdoor living space is plentiful, a great setting for families and friends to gather together underneath the Monterey pines and native live oaks. A casita in the back yard offers a private space that is separate from the main house, with its own bed, bathroom and mini-fridge.

The house is just a few blocks from shopping and fine dining in Carmel, and also close to popular venues such as Sunset Center, Pacific Repertory Theatre and the outdoor Forest Theater. It’s also just 10 minutes by car to the world-class golf courses and restaurants of Pebble Beach®, to Monarch butterfly sightings in Pacific Grove, or to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Other attractions within a half hour’s drive are the natural wonders of Big Sur and wine tasting and dining in Carmel Valley Village.

Living Spaces
Bold colors, intriguing décor that includes antique furniture and original artwork, and hardwood-look floors throughout the home make it unique, and the large chef-quality kitchen and dining room provides ample space for entertaining, with a long rustic wooden table with bench seating.

True to its name, Sticks and Stones is made of natural stone with a French country cottage look. Flagstone patios in front and back of the home have patio seating under the trees, and a stairway leads to the front door, which opens into the living room. Cozy upholstered sofas surround a wood-burning fireplace with gas start, a perfect place for watching the 52-inch HDTV, playing games or reading a good book.

A comfortable sitting room is adjacent to the living room with a queen sleeper sofa. Off of this area is a half bath with laundry area.

Kitchen and Dining
One hallway leads to the kitchen, where black marble solid-surface countertops are paired with black and silver cabinetry, and stainless steel Jenn-Air appliances include double ovens, a four-burner cooktop, and a refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer. A large island with stone top offers ample space for meal prep and also provides additional seating for four. An adjacent dining area with a rustic wood table and chandelier offers seating for eight. Well-equipped for extended stays!

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Bedroom #1 is a suite with a king-size bed with custom headboard, a 42-inch HDTV, a chaise lounge and a wood-burning fireplace with a gas start. The suite also includes an en suite bath with a shower and separate jetted soaking tub and dual vanities, and a walk-in closet. French doors from the bedroom lead to the backyard patio.

Bedrooms #2 and #3 each have a queen bed with quality linens and share a hallway bathroom with shower and tub.

Bedroom #4 is in the detached casita in the back yard which has a queen bed and a full bath, as well as a kitchenette with mini-fridge, sink and microwave.

A half bath is located near the living areas.

Parking for two vehicles is available in the driveway.

Well-behaved dogs under 15 lbs that do not shed are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.
Dogs must be potty trained.

This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner. Extended stays are often possible.
