The Ballard Estate is a historic, century old, riverfront home situated in a quiet neighborhood with breathtaking views. Great historic home located right on the Indian River with a large waterfront property and dock to fish from. Lots of shops, restaurants, bars and a great brewery are right up the street in downtown Eau Gallie.

Ballard house is always a great stay!

I stay at the ballad house every time I come to Melbourne to visit my daughter in college. It’s always a great visit. Don’t hesitate to stay here.

Best place in town.

I have stayed in almost every suite on the property. The hosts always reply to questions and reservations in a timely manner. The property is always clean and in good repair.

Ballard House

The property was beautiful and as described. The grounds were amazing with southern elegance. The home had character and beauty. The sunrise was amazing, and watching the dolphins in the morning was such a treat. The bed was very comfy, the pullout couch a bit uncomfortable. Laundry was much appreciated It was a wonderful stay.

Old school charm on Indian River/Internercostal

We stayed two nights; wished we could stay longer. Tucked away for the hustle yet easy access to everything. Property had well equiped kitchen, awesom linens, spacious living area, beautiful views. Yes bathroom is a little small but shower pressure was great and water was hot! Walls are indeed paper thin but it was something we could overlook. We found the property charming and hope to stay here again during future visits to the area.

Stunning sunrise 🌅

Love the whole atmosphere, just beautiful! It’s an older historical place with tons of character. Bed was so comfy, just lovely. We accidentally left a precious personal item and called back to let them know. Andy was great! We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your hospitality! We have children living in Melbourne and we will certainly want to stay here again. It was wonderful ❤️

Historic charm, BUT...

Lovely location. Some old world charm. In an historic district. The unit worked, but seemed a little bare in furnishings and decoration. We liked being on the first floor., but we had two people knock on our door because there is no one on site to help check in and people couldn't find their units. The biggest problem -- the walls are paper thin and you can hear loud voices, kids crying, people yelling etc. Very Unpleasant.

Perfect weekend getaway

One of the most memorable trips we have had with our family. It was perfect for my three little boys and husband. We woke up to dolphins every morning, manatees and an incredible sunrise. The property alone is perfect. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful property with great location.

We travel frequently to the area for grand children and we’ve stayed a lot of places. This could be the best. Love the location love the building love the backyard love the scenes. the slight drawback is it could get a little bit noisy with other guest around upstairs. It’s the nature a 100 year old building.
