What a beautiful cottage! We would absolutely love to visit here again. A friendly town, great amenities, and a comfortable place to stay that feels like home.
Loved this quiet yet central cottage. Beautiful backyard with a sunny breakfast spot.

Neat and comfortable cottage, feels like home. Great base to explore Penguin and north coast area. Thank you Julie and Scott for allowing us into your family home and making it a lovely stay.
The house is spacious, comfortable and fully equipped.
It is a stand-alone house on a big block with a beautiful garden.
The location is excellent, only a short stroll to bakeries. Cafes, restaurants and a brewery.
Highly recommended.

Thank you Jon, we look forward to welcoming you back again next time you get to our little state. Thank you for being great guests & looking after our home.
Warm regards, Julie & Scott.
This is in an excellent location, a block back from the main street of Penguin and 5 minutes walk (but not too close!) to the market. The house is spotless, lots of extras a big private deck and a huge mature garden to enjoy. The owners are helpful and generous with offers of early check in and check out when possible. We had a really pleasant stay and will hopefully return.

So pleased you enjoyed it Kristi, thank you for looking after our home, so beautifully, it is much appreciated. Hope to see you again.
The house is cared for well, a lovely family property. We enjoyed the garden and watered plants and put water in the birdbaths. We loved the camellias and roses and being able to walk to the village.

This property is a home away from home. A 3mi walk has you in the heart of Penguin with the beach and restaurants right there.
Hosts were amazing with their communication before and during the stay. They provided some breakfast provisions for us to make things easier and even send home clothes for us we accidentally left!
House was very clean and had all the facilities we could have wanted. Highly recommend this property.

The cottage was just as described. Well equipped and comfortable. The garden is particularly lovely and a wonderful way to ease into a day. We really appreciated the kitchen supplies provided. Penguin itself is a cute wee place and super well positioned to explore the 'tasting trail'.

Thank you, Megan,
We are happy you enjoyed your stay, and we hope to see you should you decide to visit our little town again.

A comfy cottage just a very short walk to 'downtown Penguin' makes this an ideal place from which to explore northern Tasmania. The owner was very responsive to a couple of little niggles. The cottage itself has a slightly idiosyncratic layout - great for a couple or a young family, possibly less so for more adults, but that's par for the course with a heritage property. Penguin Beer and bakery only 5 mins away.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us ,it had everything we needed. We will definitely stay again when we come to Tasmania.
Thank you for everything.
Sue & Julie
We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. It was great to meet the host Julie and hear a little about the cottage’s history and the family connection. We very much appreciated being supplied with milk, butter and bread when we got there, not to mention the Tim Tams! The garden was lovely. The location was very peaceful and within walking distance to Penguin’s main street. A very relaxing few days.
Spotless, tidy, well equiped, full of character.
Garden is like a little bit of heaven places to sit under the trees in the tranquility and peace we all love to have.
I will book again.

This treasure of a house is loaded with personality and it’s just as if the owner has popped down to the shop and will be back in a moment. Every aspect of the house is luxuriously warm and comfortable and the thoughtful generosity of the hosts shines through. Definitely a highly recommended house which deserves care and respect from anyone who chooses to experience its charm.
This cottage was all we could have asked for extended holiday. It was spotless and had a comfortable homely feel. This cottage had everything we needed rather than a lot of “pretty” clutter we didn’t.
The kitchen had modern appliances and everything we needed. There is a large dining table with comfy chairs. There are large recliners in both the lounge room and dining room as well as a couple of other lounge chairs that might make it possible to see the end of the Netflix movie you are watching.
The main bedroom has tons of space in the wardrobes and an abundance of clothes hangers. The queen size bed is comfortable! The connecting door to the bathroom made this into an ensuite. The bathroom has both a shower and a bath rather than having the shower over the bath which I think is much safer now I am not a teenager.
The huge backyard was a pleasure to sit and enjoy. The daffodils and flowering almond tree were in full bloom. I had the feeling that there would be something providing colour at anytime during the year.
The location is excellent. Braddon Street is quiet and it is so close to the Penguin shops, cafes, restaurants, beach and the coastal bike/walking path and of course the Big Penguin.
Our host, Julie, was always 2 steps ahead of anything we needed. She provided all the information we needed with regards to check-in, the local amenities and attractions. She never left us waiting for a response to a question and answered most of our questions before we asked them.
