Cute beach cottage, great location

Very cute little maritime themed apartment. Only complain is the shower door does not seal, and one of the shades is broken, a few rattly fans that need replacing. Little stuff like that...but for the price and location I'd say it was a pretty good deal.

This is a lovely unit! Close to everything. Very clean. The deck is beautiful. Grocery store on the next block. Communication with the host was fabulous. I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you!

Stayed for our 25th anniversary. Felt like unit was rundown. Wanted to enjoy patio but every chair was broken (bolt holding back of chair rusted out on every chair) outdoor rug was filthy and couldn’t lock sliding door (easy to jump stairs and enter property). Couch and chair in living room was so uncomfortable you couldn’t sit for more than a few minutes. Hardware on cabinets requires two screws for handle but only one used so handles moved. In bedroom there is a chair so stained and dirty it looks like it was left outside for a few months. I’m not a person who expects high end stuff from a rental but do think it should be functional and safe. Unit could be so much more enjoyable with a few upgrades and TLC

Had a great stay!

As usual, some of the complaints that I read about this unit were a bit harsh. A few implied that it was quite overdue for upgrades, I think that it was just fine for the price point. I have seen these type of complaints before and really wonder if some of these people are expecting the quality of the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills (or the like,) at nightly prices that are actually reasonable. It was a bit of work carrying our scuba gear up and down the stairs every day, but quite worth it to be able to place wetsuits and such on the private balcony to dry without worry of it being easily stolen. Vons grocery store is just a few steps away from this rental unit and is quite well stocked, even for my vegetarian wife. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it. It is small, but if all you need is one bedroom and a futon couch/bed in the living room then its fine. One thing that would have made our stay much easier (that I would gladly pay extra for,) is a golf cart to get around the island with. You cannot rent them on the island for longer than a half-day, and they are basically only meant for tours. Btw, download the app "Ride Circuit," as it is the best/cheapest way to get around the island. It's only $2 per person and you can take a couple suitcases, or scuba gear, as long as it can fit in the small black, open cargo box in the back of the electric cart. It held our large husky tool box that I believe measures about 37"x23"x23" (consequently, that's the max size package that you can bring on the Catalina Express.)Sorry 4 length, but hope this helps!

A little dirty but great location

Overall the stay was okay. The walls have stains and dirt marks all over and there is a chair in the bedroom covered in stains which was not appealing. Something else I found unappealing was the cigarettes left out on the patio and an old hotdog we found left on one of the grills. The furniture in the living room is very uncomfortable but there are smart TVs to watch in both rooms and the WiFi works well. The kitchen is very well stocked in my opinion and the bathroom was clean. The location is excellent!

Great stay

Overall, we had a great stay! The house is on a quiet street but is still close to town. Everything worked well in the apartment except for the sliding door to the deck (it doesn’t lock). The main bed was really comfortable but the sofa bed wasn’t. We still really enjoyed the stay and would love to go back!

Location is central, but not on a busy street. House is cute and interesting. The furniture was not the most comfortable. I wouldn't want to watch a whole movie from the couch. Decent place, good location that could use some improvements

An overall nice place in a good location. Things were a little run down: the patio door would not lock and we were not able to use the oven because it would set off the smoke alarm. Otherwise, a comfortable place to stay for the weekend.

My stay.

My stay at this property was pleasant. The neighbors were very welcoming, assisting me with enjoying my time and seeing as much as I could in the time I was in their neighborhood. The local restaurants were within walking distance and dining was well received. All in all, this was a very good trip. Would definitely recommend.

Great location and outdoor space

Tiny, cute, close to everything

Property could use a deep cleaning. It is obvious that it gets the basics done regularly but really could use a deep cleaning. The layout is very "cozy". The listing leads you to believe there is a sofa bed but in fact the sofa just extends to a full size futon. I asked the manager if beach towels are provided and was told "yes" only to arrive and no beach towels are provided. I also asked the manage about storing luggage after checking out and was directed to the docks where you can pay a small fee to check your bags in for the day. This was very handy as we had a full day of activities planned prior to heading back to the mainland. The balcony is a great place to hang out and enjoy the ocean breezes. I recommend this unit if you are just there for a few days and don't plan to spend much time inside. The next time I visit I will rent a unit with a golf cart.

Lovely little retreat.

This place was perfect for my little getaway. My family reunion was taking place on the island and I needed a little spot to retreat to for privacy and relaxation. It was very cute and had everything I needed.It even came with a friendly kitty who must live nearby. He was very sweet and made my whole trip. I will come back for sure!

I'll be honest, the location of the house is good, everything is close, but we had some disappointments since when we arrived the property has two "studios" we arrived without realizing which one it was and we opened the first apartment. , and we went up to the other studio and opened it with the same code that was opened in the one below, so we got worried and dialed and told them what was happening and they told us that it was a lie that they were not there. Even though we were able to open it, they denied everything. Another thing is that the sheets in the room were very dirty as well as the blankets. I don't recommend this place.

Super squeaky floors throughout, bathroom sink has constant leak. Veronica was very nice. Neighbor had to say where the trash barrels were. Couch was very uncomfortable. Sliding door didn’t open and screen was broken.
