Esta es la unidad superior y más grande de este triplex victoriana. Sólo un par de cuadras de la colina y 26 pasos para llegar a la cima, pero bien vale la pena subir. Las dos habitaciones tienen una cama de matrimonio, y hay una cama plegable en la sala de estar. Esta unidad cuenta con un montón de puntos de vista de sol y mar desde el salón y la terraza de la azotea grande. Ofrece una planta abierta, cocina totalmente equipada, de 43 pulgadas de TV de pantalla plana con satélite, reproductor de vídeo y reproductores de DVD, equipo de música, barbacoa, y una pequeña biblioteca de libros, juegos y extras están ahí para su disfrute. I saved 700.00 over similar accommodations. Everything was as advertised. Great view of Harbor. Super quiet building considering it overlooks the harbor.

Hike uphill

I really enjoyed the property. It had all of the amenities that I needed for a comfortable stay. We had a hard time with the TV though. Just be prepared to hike up a kind of steep hill to get there. I really didn't research the street that we were renting on. Other than that we had a great time.

I really enjoyed staying at the property, everything is great except the one big issue I had was there is a mold growing in the light fixtures and lots of water damage which is allowing the mold to grow. I have bad asthma so I had an asthma attack the same night I stayed and daily until I left on Sunday. They communicate quickly but the mold issue is so bad. Family that was staying at a hotel also mentioned the strong mildew smell upon stepping in the property to see our view. If they took care of the mold issue we would stay again due to the views and space!

Services below any standard, first-night nightmare, horrible host

We arrive at the property on 06/19/2024 evening. We discovered that there were only 4 pillows at the property and 3 blankets for 6 people. One of the legs of a murphy bed was broken. As soon as we discovered issues, we contacted the management company and the host. No response until next morning. My friend had to use two cans of paint found at the property to put under the broken bed to be able to sleep the first night, and we had to use pillows from a sofa to sleep that night. The next morning somebody showed up, assessed the issues, assured us that they will send somebody to fix the bed, provide 2 pillows, but said that only 3 blankets are standard for this property, one for each bed. On a question how people from different families should sleep under one blanket, there was no response. They dare to decide how we should sleep! The issue with the bed was fixed, they provided two pillows and one blanket eventually, so the 2nd and the 3rd nights were ok. I demanded refund for the first night from the host, but the host refused to take any responsibilities for the first night and to give a partial refund motivating it by the fact the everything was fixed the next day. BTW, the host did not contacted us right after the booking as many other hosts do, introducing themselves and the property, wishing a pleasant stay. The host contacted me only after my demand to issues a partial refund. Stay away from this property and this host.

Perfect spot 1st time to Catalina

Had an overall great experience... the rental was clean and spacious.. beautiful views from the main windows all day long. With two bathrooms there was pleanty of space in the smaller one which catered to the men and larger one accommodated the women perfectly. The ceiling fan in the back room wasnt working and maintenance immediately came and put a window fan in to aid in our comfortabilty as it was hot that weekend. The property was quiet and serene. The roof top deck was a great feature for cooling off in the evening and watching the sun set.. just a short up hill walk (which should not be taken lightly was something to get use to and provided some much needed cardio) from the main street with nice restaurants on both corners. Im very satisfied with my choices to stay at this location and will be glad to stay here again in the future .

Quiet with a beautiful view.

Very affordable property, comes with two full bathrooms and two bedrooms along with a Murphy bed in the living room and a full size couch. I went with a group of five men so two of them had to snuggle. A lot of vacation rentals in Catalina have golf carts. This one did not which would have been a very nice bonus. The location is excellent. It's close enough to the waterfront to have great views from both inside the unit and the rooftop patio but far enough that it's quiet and you don't get a lot of noise and foot traffic from the tourists. Highly recommend

Wonderful stay, rooftop deck is the highlight

The unit is 50 yards or so above the main thoroughfare, so it's very close to everything. The walk is uphill, and another 20+ steps are required to reach the actual front door. If mobility is an issue, this may not the place for you. It has a full kitchen with full-sized refrigerator, and is appointed with plenty of utensils, plates/bowls, Mr. Coffee machine (not Keurig), coffee filters, spices, and so on. The furniture is fairly basic and a little dated, but met our needs. Some of the blinds do not work, and neither did any of the ceiling fans. The owners immediately provided brand new box fans, but they weren't quite as effective. We opened the windows to let in adequate breezes, so we were fine. Many of the window blinds were broken. You might want to check if the ceiling fans are working if that's important. The highlight was the rooftop deck, where we spent most of our time when we were at the house. Many of the chairs were already broken when we arrived, but we made do with the 2 or 3 that were usable. The owners really need to remove and replace the old, broken ones. The view of the beach, boardwalk, and cruise ships was fantastic, and it was a perfect place to eat breakfast, watch the sunset AND sunrise, and drink a cup of coffee. It was also a private deck, intended only for our use, though we heard people moving chairs on the roof and talking loudly late on our first night. It only happened that first night. Overall, I would definitely consider this place again, but reconsider if you have mobility issues. It would be near perfect if they would fix the minor items I mentioned.

Biggest Perks are the Location and Roof Deck with Oceanview

This condo suited our needs and our main requirements of being walkable to downtown Avalon, having an outdoor space with ocean view, clean, and being spacious enough for our family of five. We did appreciate the management company let us know we could check in early. The condo itself is like a 2-star hotel. Furnishings are shabby and the chairs on the roof deck look like they'll give way to the next person to sit down. Toiletries were sparse so bring your own, including soap. At other rentals, I've found a welcome binder of recommended sites and restaurants as well as key contacts - like taxis helpful. This property did not have this. The rental booking was also more time consuming than I've experience because the management company requires signing more contracts and providing copy of your license and credit card (either over unsecure email or at their office). Next time, I think we'll look for a different spot on Catalina.

Amazing view

Amazing view! The property is dated, furniture is old and a hodge podge of random things. There are newer appliances in the kitchen. The location is good but there is a hill to walk up and stairs to access the property. It was fine for our family, but if you are pushing a stroller or have any kind of physical limits/struggles it might be difficult. The 180 degree views are what made this property enjoyable. Our favorite times spent onsite were on the rooftop enjoying the view.

Excellent time

We absolutely loved the location of this place, neighbors were awesome, upstairs outdoor patio was perfect with a gorgeous view. Comfortable beds, even the Murphy bed. All in all it was great!

Incredible view, bit of a climb

Great set up, outdoor patio was incredible and by far the best feature. Only downside was the hill to get up to the property from the main part of town. And apparently there is an easy Whitley as well as a west Whitley so don’t trust google on directions

Cutest Beach Cottage

Renting this property through Vrbo was so easy. Communication with the rental team was great. No problems with a quick response always. The cottage was just as advertised. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Great location with a bit of an uphill walk but that was ok because of the view from the cottage and top patio. Excellent time!!

The overall view is why this review had two stars. Other than that it was old amenities and door knobs that were semi falling off the door. No trash bags to clean nor any soap when cleaning is required. Overall professionalism when checking in is far below par. We were told that we could check in early and when we went to check in we were told we need to wait 4 hours. Customer service was just not there. I will definitely not be using this company again.
