The cottage features a vast courtyard which exudes an old world ambiance of a French country home and is located on a RARE TRIPLE LOT with full GATED privacy.

There is plenty of charm in this 1925 ‘carmel charmer’, including a turreted entrance, abundant paned windows, Dutch door with regional Carmel Stone entry, European style gardens, antique fountains, amish wooded birdfeeders, bloom covered archways, manicured gardens, enchanted private paths…even a pair of wild bunnies… all reinforcing the magic of this very rare and special property! An award winning, fully landscaped garden provides privacy and sanctuary, with five different sitting areas and many pathways to wander down and explore! Absolutely fantastic for children to play in, fully gated and private… A haven for adults seeking leisure!

6-7 blocks to town, A mile to the beach, with very easy access to Highway 1, Monterey aquarium and cannery row, supermarkets and all that the peninsula has to offer.

Enormous brand new smart televisions in living room and master, additional new TVs in second bedroom and kitchen, movie channels include HBO and Showtime, Full cable etc. Our TV system is Roku.

Prepare to be pampered, we have Brand new spring air luxury beds, Tencel sheets and Egyptian cotton towels, luxurious bamboo cozy earth sheets, fluffy down pillows & Fretté robes, as well as every kitchen appliance and accessory you could ask for. Vitamix, Breville, Nespresso, Keurig, 2 sets of All Clad pots and pans…Perfect for cooking at home!

The cottage itself is1205 Square feet, with a private spare toilet in the garage if needed. Sofa is a fold out, with queen size bed and luxury memory foam mattress.

A Perfect Place

This cottage and garden are so lovely and inviting. I didn't bother with downtown (I've been many times) because it was more pleasing to just relax at the property. Give yourself a gift and stay here.

Beautiful home in Carmel

Pleasant Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Everything was clean and comfortable. In my opinion the highlights were the fireplace and the garden. The kitchen was also great, wish we had stayed longer so we could’ve cooked in it. Would definitely stay again if we ever return to Carmel by the sea, which we hope to do one day!

Fairytale Carmel Cottage

This cottage is a remarkable gem in the VRBO community. The property owner (Hillary) is just as gracious and was wonderful to communicate with. We fell in love with Carmel and this particular cottage and hope to book our revisit soon!! Highly recommend!

Magical cottage

We loved our stay at the Carmel cottage. It felt like we were in Europe. The gardens are exquisite and had everything that we could need. It was clean, organized, and very comfortable. We rented E bikes, and it was the perfect location to the town. We had a wonderful stay and we would definitely, again and recommend it highly. Hilary was a perfect host!

Cozy Home Away From Home

This is our second stay and it was lovelier than ever. The gardens and outside seating areas are terrific for reading, having a meal or just relaxing. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can make meals if you decide not to visit one of the nearby restaurants. It is a short walk to downtown Carmel. The beds are super comfy and the fireplace is an added cozy touch. Hillary was also great to communicate with and very responsive. We will return!!

Amazing cottage

This is the second time I have stayed at the cottage. It is a magical place. It is extremely well taken care of, well appointed with everything you could imagine needing, a perfect location, peaceful and charming. Hillary is unparalleled in her hosting ability. Fairy tale cottage.

My favorite VRBO. Spotless, warm and cozy. Hillary has supplied everything including spices, aluminum foil and robes no less! The cottage and the gardens are something out of a Hans Christian fairy tale. Hillary is incredibly responsive and clearly takes great care of the cottage with love. Pure perfection.

Lives up to the photos

This beautiful property was our home for 3 days of combined spring break and 20 Year Anniversary celebrations. The property offered something for every family member. My wife loved the gardens, the kids enjoyed their own bedroom and the table tennis. The kitchen was equipped with more than the bare essentials and we found it easy to prepare a family dinner. Of course the great restaurants down the street in Carmel will have you leaving the house some of the time. We can’t wait to return.

Gorgeous gardens

The house is so pretty and perfect size for family Of 4. Our daughters had so much fun playing around in the garden and backyard. The house was clean and completely stocked with every single thing you could potentially need and more. The only issue we had was the super low pressure in the shower. Definitely need an improvement. Other than that our stay was great, walkable and very quiet.

Private, Quiet, Charming Gem of a Home

We have been coming to Carmel for over 40 years and mostly staying at The Cypress Inn or The Lodge at Pebble Beach. We wanted to try a cottage this time and we are so happy we found this gem. The home is charming, gardens are spectacular for relaxing, reading and just enjoying. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might need. Beds were comfy. TV's in every room with Netflix. Restaurants, beach and shops are close by. The owner was very helpful and responsive, when needed. We already have a return trip planned.

Dream getaway in Carmel

This was a rare opportunity to have a relaxing stay in Carmel for a few days. This home is especially lovely and comfortable. The host has thought of everything we could have wanted. The outside grounds are stunning with plenty of areas to sit and enjoy nature. We just got lucky that it was available. I can't imagine it not being booked pretty far out. It is very close to the shops and restaurants in Carmel and the beach, but is situated in a quiet neighborhood, away from noise and traffic. We loved it and the host is wonderful!

Gem in northwest Carmel

The home sits on a very large corner lot in the quiet neighborhood north of Ocean Ave. At first glance, you might think the property would hear noise from nearby highway 1. However, the well manicured and landscaped yard seems absorb the sound in a way that leaves you feeling quiet and solitude in the best ways. The house was ideal for our anniversary weekend as it gave easy access to all Carmel has to offer with extremely comfortable accommodations. The house is clean and well appointed, the gardens are even more impressive in person and the home’s furnishings are very comfortable. In short, we look forward to coming back!

Wonderful Cottage

I absolutely loved my stay at this beautiful cottage. The house and gardens are more than I could have hoped for. The home is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. There is so much natural light. We enjoyed many spots to read and look out in the garden. So cozy! Our host thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and just perfect for us. Her recommendations for food, clothing, and activities were wonderful and taken by us. Any questions we had were answered immediately. Our favorite meal in Carmel was a grocery recommendation that we just brought back to the cottage so we could enjoy it surrounded by all the flowers in the garden. The location is wonderful too. We enjoyed walks in the neighborhood and an easy walk into town. I can't say enough wonderful things about this cottage and host. It was such a perfect and loved stay. I am so eager to return!

Guest will have total access and privacy to the entire home. Amenities included brand new large screen televisions in both bedrooms, kitchen and the living room-all with full premium packages including, HBO, Showtime, ROKU, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu etc and availability for kids video games (just bring their console).
Chefs kitchen with all accompanying top of the line appliances and gear. Brand new beds, linens etc. One size king, one queen. There is a sofa bed in the living room next to the fireplace. We also have two outdoor fire pits, a BBQ grill, a ping pong table, multiple sitting areas and new landscaping. There are two outdoor dining areas, two fountains, bird baths and bird houses where woodpeckers, blue Jays, doves, finches squirrels and many other creatures visit.
The home has many relaxing and eating outdoor spaces, carefully manicured gardens include boxwood-edged pathways, loads of flowers, bird feeders, and a bubbling fountain in a stone courtyard. The house is set on a 12,100 square foot lot with ample parking.
Complimentary passes to the Monterey Aquarium are included.
Terms/Rules Include: Five people (Up to two adults and three children only) No Large Noisy Crowd or Dinner Party Party, No Pets or Smoking. By law the Monterey County demands a Transit Occupancy Tax of 10.50% of room stay rate, which is added to the studio rate and sent to Guests, through Airbnb, as a Separate Payment Request, after reservations have been formalized, usually within 7 days of Check-In.

The cottage resides in a quiet zone, just a short walk from town where one can find charming wine tasting shops and restaurants, featuring a vast range of international, and local cuisines. Carmel was established by artists, intellectuals and writers and with almost 100 art galleries is a draw for visitors and art lovers from all over the world. The iconic Weston Photo Gallery, owned by the family of the great Edward Weston and showcasing the work of the greatest photographers, is a short stroll from the cottage. Then from the main grid of the town is a short walk down to the magnificent ocean where visitors cantata a leisure stroll and enjoy the great view of the sunset..
From the cottage 17-mile-Drive and Monterey are within 5 minutes, and Point Lobos is 10 minutes away while Big Sur and Laguna Seca are 30 minutes away.
The owner or manager of this property will provide great experiences for their guests.
