"A Golden Retreat" es la casa de vacaciones BHI frente al mar perfecta para aquellos que disfrutan del aire libre y se relajan con familiares y amigos. Ubicado en el vecindario de Timbercreek, este condominio apto para perros se encuentra en Bald Head Creek y Salt Marsh Sanctuary y ofrece impresionantes vistas del amanecer y el atardecer. Con el paseo marítimo y el muelle justo afuera de la puerta, tiene fácil acceso al agua para pescar, pescar cangrejos, kayak, canotaje, SUP y observar aves.

Golden retreat

We stay here every year! Beautiful views, everything is in working condition and the kitchen is stocked with spices and general things one would need. Rooms and beds are cozy. Dog bowls and treats are provided we will be back again! I'd love to take out a kayak once my kids get bigger!

What a wonderful Vacation!

The house was perfect. Plenty of space, super clean, fully equipped with everything we needed and an amazing location. It was so much fun! We enjoyed fishing, kayaking and exercising! Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!!

A Golden Stay

We had a beautiful time at A Golden Retreat this past summer. The slight updates to the typical Timbercreek floor plan gave us the additional space we need in the main living area, and the decor was upgrade to suit any BHI home. I-trip was fantastic taking care of our needs, even when we had an A/C clog, they were sure to get service out there as fast as possible. Looking forward to next year's stay!

BHI on the Marsh

The Marsh is our favorite place on Bald Head. The Golden Retreat did not disappoint. The morning views over the marsh were beautiful and very peaceful. The property manager was very informative and responsive. Both golf carts were in excellent condition and it was really nice to have a six man cart for our family. Beach chairs and towels were provided which helped cut down on what we needed to bring over on the ferry. We enjoyed a kayak and brought our paddle board which we launched right off the dock. As for the condo, the kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pans and spices for cooking. It is on the smaller size which may matter if you have a bigger group. With all six of us there this year, a third bathroom would have been nice… but we made do and it did not distract from our vacation. We would definitely stay here again!

Don't read this (haha we loved it)

I'm hesitant to give this place a good review, because I don't want it to be discovered! We love Bald Head, and have been coming here for many years, and have often stayed in Timbercreek. We love the views of the marsh, and the opportunity to paddle and fish right there. A Golden Retreat was our favorite place thus far. Clean and bright, and with every little touch thought of. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, the porch furniture was comfy, and the view was lovely (though marsh view obstructed just a little bit by trees, but we are bird nerds and didn't mind!). It was also very welcoming to our pooch! We hope to rent this unit again when we return!

Trip to Bald Head Island

We had a wonderful experience at A Golden Retreat! We had many questions and needed a few things and they were quick to respond to our questions and dropped off what we needed ASAP. The units view is amazing and so relaxing on the screened in porch. We used the kayaks which were very convenient as you are near the boat launch. It’s good to watch the tide chart and I recommend to go at high tide for the best experience. It was also nice being able to bring our fur baby! Can’t wait to come again!

A Golden Retreat

What a wonderful long weekend we had! A Golden Retreat was perfect for me and my family. The view from the screened in porch was incredible. Seeing the sun rise over the water was beautiful. The kitchen was one of the best equiped I have ever seen. We needed nothing. My grandsons loved the loft. Communication with iTrip was the best! We can't wait to return.

You had us at dog treats!

We loved staying at a Golden Retreat! Great location and everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay! We had fun using the kayaks, and the furnishings were tasteful and comfortable. The kitchen had all we needed for cooking and the golf carts worked well. Perfect place to enjoy all of the natural beauty of the marsh side, and a quick trip to the beach! Perfect Bald Head Escape!

A Golden Retreat is a perfect retreat on Bald Head Island. It is very well appointed, everything you could need in a kitchen. Very clean, bright and airy. The deck views are spectacular and we loved having access to the kayaks to explore the surrounding waterways. We loved that is pet-friendly for our pup to enjoy a get-away with us. The beds are very comfy and plenty of towels and fresh sheets. Above and beyond touches in the bathroom like mini shampoo and conditioners! We'd love to visit a Golden Retreat again. The location is great, short drives to the grocery store, marina and beach. It was easy to reach out to the hosts to have any questions answered quickly.

Relaxing stay at Golden Retreat

My husband and I live in Wilmington but needed a reset from the busy day to day. We stayed at Golden retreat for four nights and got that rest and relaxation we needed. The screened in porch was ideal for all meals, games and reading. We used it during all varieties of weather-hot, rainy, and windy. You cannot beat the view. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking full meals as was the house with comfie pillows, towels and beach gear. We would stay again and have already recommended it to friends.

Great place!

I owned a high on vacation rental on the Isle of Palms near Charleston for almost 20 years, so my expectations were high. A Golden Retreat is a lovely property that is fully equipped and very comfortable. Ideally situated on the salt marsh, there's an unbelievably nice breeze on the screened porch and a wonderful view of the marsh and wildlife. We found literally everything we needed in the kitchen. In addition, they included beach towels and even had dog towels! The six-person golf cart was key, never even got around to using the second one but nice to know it was there. Communication with owners/managers very responsive and quick, they were very accommodating in every way. Well done!

Great place highly recommend!!

If you are looking for a great place to stay while at BHI we found it! Newly renovated, stocked very well and location is perfect. My family stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed the dock and kayaking in the marsh. Close the market and just a quick golf cart ride to the beach!! Hosts were easy to work with and attentive to so many details. Will definitely be back and would stay here again and again!

Great Location, Fully Stocked

Overall, the condo was fine for our family. The golf carts worked great, and the creek view was gorgeous. The condo is well-stocked with everything you'll need to cook, but it is time for an end of season deep clean and new mattresses and bedding. These are older condos, and it is just time for some updates. This is a pet friendly unit, and there was a lot of pet hair all over the condo. Also, this is an upstairs unit. It was fine for our family, but just something I didn't realize when I booked it. If you have never visited Bald Head, make sure to take your own food. The restaurants on the island were some of the worst and most expensive, and a 1/2 gallon of milk on the island is $9. We will certainly go back because the island just forced us to relax and slow down, but we will take our own food next time. The beaches are dreamy as well.

The whole family really enjoyed their trip. Loved that it had 2 golf carts so we could do separate activities. Enjoyed the canal out back and the overall peacefulness of the island.

Amazing!

We brought a group of 12 year old girls to BHI for an end of summer girls trip… 5 kids and 2 adults. It was AMAZING. I had my paddle board and enjoyed sun rises from the creek… got the kids out on the kayaks. The pool was just a couple doors down. The island is small so we were close to everything… and getting there on the golf cart was half the fun We’ve stayed at a lot of properties and this may have been my favorite. Well stocked, super cute. I slept in the master and the bed was very comfortable. Everything about it was perfect. We will definitely be back!!
