The house was spectacular and the views even more amazing. As great as those two things were, our group can’t stop talking about the service. Mario, our “houseman” was so much more. The service was comparable to the Ritz or the Fairmont. Mario spoiled us rotten. He served our meals to us as though we were in a Michelin Star restaurant. He made us drinks that were so delicious and we never even had to ask. If a glass was empty, he would fill it. One day he brought fresh coconuts and with a machete he opened them and served us fresh coconut water. He not only provided amazing service, he was a lovely man and we all wanted to take him home! Although the house and amenities were spectacular, Mario and all the others from the housekeeper to the concierge, made our trip memorable. Something to be aware of is every night Marion would tell me how much they spent on groceries and drinks and we would pay them them that night so they could purchase groceries the next day. At times this got a little difficult collecting money from 14 people in our group, especially the amazing wine! I’d recommend putting one or two people in charge of money and having everyone give their cash when you arrive and then that one person distributes money to Mario for next day. It will be much more enjoyable for everyone. The meals and drinks were incredibly inexpensive but you will still need a lot of pesos as the nearest ATM is in town, about 20 minutes away. We loved it!!!
