We are a Polish-Portuguese couple who live in the neighboring house. Whenever we will be at home we will receive our guests personally. In case we are not at home, a friend of ours will receive you and give you all the information about your staying. We know the region quite well and we will be happy to give you some tips if requested. You will have the feeling of being retracted but not isolated, in a nice cozy house, feeling free and comfortable in an authentic countryside atmosphere.

The house is located in the calm surroundings of São Francisco da Serra village, in one of the most beautiful and best-preserved coastal areas of the South of Portugal, between the sea and the rural interior. That is the specific charm of this area surrounded by the cork tree forest on hilly landscapes that spread your eyes until the sea, filling the Atlantic freshness in the starry and hot summer nights. There are local small shops and a very local small café restaurant in the village, but not much more than that and a lot of calm. São Francisco da Serra is located between the city of Vila Nova de Stº André and Melides, where you can find all the amenities as restaurants, markets, super markets, hospitals, pharmacies, local and brand shops. Santiago do Cacém, an old typical Moorish city of the south of Portugal with an astonishing view is just 14km away. The City of Sines with its famous FMM World Music Festival, one of the most exiting summer festivals in Europe placed between the old castle and the city-bay avenue, is just 20km far. Following the coastline from Sines to Tróia Resort, you will find several little and nice villages as Stº André, Melides, Carvalhal and Comporta. Good fish, seafood and local wines are a must as well as the lagoon areas of Stº André and Melides, mixing the coastal and rural life. Located only 10km away Badoca Park Safari, an area of 45 hectares with freely living animals, provides various family experiences. Having mentioned all facilities in the region, the best is to take your summer umbrella to the beach and stay all day long in one of the astonishing beaches of the 77km coast line which you can walk along its golden sands.

The house is located at the secluded end of the village of São Francisco da Serra, only 13km from the ocean and 15 min by car to some of the best beaches in the South of Portugal. The house has its original rural character and atmosphere of the Portuguese houses from Alentejo region, built on the hill, surrounded by the cork and olive trees, providing calm, quiet and views of the starry sky and amazing sunsets. It's very well-equipped and comfortable, charming and personal.
