I was very shocked and honestly quite disappointed in the review received from Charmaine. I thought it was important to address each of the issues raised one by one. Hill down to the cottage: There is a hill down from the parking area to the main cottage on our property. There is a dirt path down on one side of the hill which is about 5 or 6 feet wide and stone steps on the other side. Our family uses the cottage regularly including my 85 year old grandmother and nobody has any issues going up and down the hill. I want to be clear that Charmaine never mentioned that she had a 400lbs brother in law or anyone with mobility issues prior to their stay. I've had a number of groups of prospective renters mention that they have mobility issues and I'm always very upfront about this. But for a regular adult in reasonable physical condition the steps down to our cottage are not an issue. In the spirit of transparency I will be adding a picture of the steps and path down to the cottage for future renters. Power Outage: There is no weekly power outage as Charmaine mentioned. The power outage was a one time event and as soon as we were notified by Hydro one that the power was going to be off I emailed Charmaine to let her know this. Shower: The shower is an outdoor shower with a door that faces towards our own bunkie. If you were to stick your head out the door and look directly to your left you could see the side of the neighbors cottage. That shower head does appear to be damaged and will be replaced. Decorations: There are decorations on the walls and these are mainly on rails at ceiling height. We do use the cottage for ourselves for part of the summer and we don't take down these decorations when renters come. Dinning Room Space: There is a dinning room table with room for 8 comfortably and 10 if you squeeze. The picture of the dinning room in the listing is the most accurate reflection of the dinning room that we can provide. We've had around 15 groups through this summer and we've had only positive reviews prior to this. I'm more than happy to answer any questions about the cottage that anyone has as other reviewers have pointed out. If you have any questions about any of the items mentioned in this review or just generally please don't hesitate to ask.
