Welcome to Blue Bear Chalet!! Your group will absolutely love this amazing upscale luxury resort cabin, completely remodeled and transformed into an ultra modern vacation home and located within a short walk to Snow Summit Resort for year round activities and fun! Featuring two levels of freshly renovated space our owners have fully renovated their home with your vacation stay in mind including the comforts from home, modern furnishings and décor, plus bonus added amenities like a foosball table and your own private hot tub under the stars!

As you enter this gorgeous chalet on the ground level you are greeted with the feeling of your own mountain lodge in the warm and cozy living room area providing tons of natural lighting from the big open windows. Snuggle up on the comfortable couch where you can watch a movie on the mounted Streaming TV with complimentary hi speed WIFI internet provided for your enjoyment. (Guests must have their own accounts to enjoy Streaming services.) The open floor plan offers direct access to the cute dining room area and equipped kitchen here on the lower entry level. The chef of your group will love the cute kitchen here complete with cookware and utensils plus stainless appliances and a dishwasher to ensure your preparations and cleanup are a breeze. The adorable breakfast island adds to your seating arrangements with barstools come meal time to ensure everyone can sit and enjoy your time together.

Gorgeous hardwood floors and knotty pine beamed ceilings continue throughout your comfortable cabin along with a stacked washer and dryer to add to your the convenience for your wet snow clothes or extended vacation stays. Two sleeping quarters and a spacious bathroom are available on both levels of your home, all of which are made up for your visit with warm linens, blankets, pillows, and fresh shower towels when you arrive. Modern furnishings pair with mounted Streaming TVs and an added foosball table to keep the group entertained right here at the cabin. Venturing out back you will find a serene and relaxing alpine environment, the perfect spot to spend your mornings sipping your coffee among the birds or unwinding in the evenings after a day of adventures on the mountain. You will love the patio area offering outdoor patio tables and furnishings plus a propane BBQ for you to grill up dinner. Enjoy taking a relaxing soak in your own private hot tub under the stars after a fun day of adventure out on the mountain or lake. Excellent property, great location, easy check-in!

The property was just as advertised- very well kept, stocked with all of the regular amenities. The check-in process was easy, and the property was ready when we arrived a little earlier than planned. The house was great for my family, and the yard was perfect for our dog. An easy 10 minute walk to snow summit, as well. The only issue we had was that the hot tub didn't get very hot, but otherwise everything was great! I hope to stay here again.

MLK Weekend

Overall impression of the property was cute and warm. The property location was very central to all-mountain activities including snow summit/bear mountain and very close to the blvd. The house was very spacious for only 4 people and the background was a central playground for the small kids which included sledding, a jacuzzi, and outdoor play. The rooms were very spacious both upstairs and downstairs and enjoyed the warm fireplace. Overall, the property was exactly what my family I needed for the weekend getaway, and looking forward to renting this house again in the future.

Nice cabin but missing crucial listed amenities

We really liked the cabin and had fun because it snowed. But the cabin listing is completely misleading. We rented this particular cabin because of the jacuzzi spa and fireplace, neither of which worked and the rental agency was aware of this before they rented it to us. We would not have rented it if we had been told beforehand and we paid an exorbitant price exactly because we thought we were getting those 2 amenities. The listing was also incorrect and misleading by saying only kitchen basics would be provided, specifically no salt and pepper, no paper towels, no shampoo or bathroom soap would be provided so we brought our own only to find that these things were all provided. A more truthful and accurate listing would help the right people find this nice cabin.

Thank you for sharing your review with us Katharine. So very sorry that your trip was impacted over the holidays and lead to this review. Please note that this is not the experience we want for our guests. After reviewing your reservation it seems the spa vendor was unable to get the spa hot for your trip which you were compensated for and was an unknown issue until your arrival unfortunately. The fireplace here at Blue Bear Chalet works perfectly and pairs with central forced heat to provide a cozy and comfortable stay year round so we are very surprised by this comment as there was no mention of this issue when we visited to assist with the spa. As our House Rules and listing state we do in fact provide basic starter supplied of toilet paper and trash bags while all homes have been made up for guests with warm linens, blankets, pillows, and fresh shower towels. Kitchens are equipped with cookware, pots and pans, utensils, and general appliances however specialty items, oils, tin foils etc are not supplied. We do again apologize if this info was missed by your party within numerous greeting messages and our rental agreement that followed your booking confirmation before your arrival here to Big Bear. At any rate our team does hope to host you again for another visit to make this experience up to you Katharine. We hope to hear from you soon!

Place was great.

Our stay was great. Property very cute and clean. We can only complain that the pillows were too flat and my daughter assumes “fully stocked” meant she’d find coffee ready for brewing. Maintenance response to our call was amazing! So fast!

Pets must be acknowledged and may not be left unattended in the home. Owners must clean up after pets; subject to added cleaning fees for violations.

All homes include clean linens, and fresh bath towels for the occupancy. A kitchen with basic cookware and small starter amount of dish soap, toilet paper, and trash bags will be supplied. Paper towels, coffee filters/coffee, specialty appliances, nor condiments/spices/oils are supplied.

No Pay-Per-View Ordering in any homes.

No refunds/credits for cancellations or trip interruptions due to acts of nature, (especially snow, fire, power outages) weather, road conditions, mechanical or electrical failures, spa malfunctions, or other equipment factors beyond our control.

This is a forested mountain community home to critters- animals or insects you may encounter are spiders, moths, flies, squirrels, gophers, bears, coyotes, burro, bear, bats, etc. Our team inspects prior to arrival but cannot guarantee the home will be free of these forest critters.

We reserve the right to offer a comparable property or issue a full refund if circumstances arise that are beyond our control and your property is made unavailable for any reason.
